Honda has surprised announcement that they will end F1 racing in 2021 so that they can focus on EV's and Hybrids for the global market. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1129827_honda-quits-formula-1-racing-to-focus-on-evs-and-fuel-cell-tech

Good point, but I suspect just like the 70's with the stupid speed set option on my Grandmothers Buick Skylark that would make noise if you went over the set speed limit or the buzzer of the unconnected seatbelt, I bet someone will figure out how to disable the fake mandated sound track. Not a fan of all the useless phone apps.

Interactive Review: 2020 Lexus RX 350L Lux
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Questions: Almost 3yrs ago my sister test drove this and the Buick Envision. The interior was hard plastic cheapness and no matter what packages you added, you still had a cheap hard plastic interior. Does this interior have any soft touch updated areas that say luxury or is it still cheap hard plastic front, middle and back? Head room was also an issue for tall people. How is that headroom in this? Wind / Road noise was terrible in past versions, how is it now? Are there any special touches in the middle and rear seating area that make it special?- 5 replies

OUCH, I hate it when slow folks just pull over into the fast lane, no turn signal. Lucky that the guy driving along at 149 mph kept control. Cool view of the generation run of the SkyLine auto. https://www.motor1.com/news/446562/nissan-skyline-13-generations-evolution/

For the 2022 model year seems a new updated 2.0 L Turbo 4 banger will come back to the Equinox and Terrain. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/02/chavy-equinox-2-liter-turbo-engine-returning/ Seems Ford CEO sees that Ford is missing a segment and is going to address something that many here have talked about. Low price affordable auto's. https://www.motor1.com/news/446865/ford-new-ceo-more-affordable-vehicles/

It now seems based on reports coming out from unidentified sources that GM is looking to take an even bigger stake in Nikola and the building of the Nikola Badger Pickup Truck. It would seem that GM is looking for a way to recover costs from the R&D done on Hydrogen generators, storage and an EV platform that is what Nikola was planning for the Badger. Will be very interesting to see what comes of this as I can see value to be had in building a long range EV pickup using a Hydrogen generator. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-general-motors-nikola/gm-continuing-discussions-with-nikola-on-alliance-deal-idUSKBN26K2MF https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/gm-considers-boosting-stake-in-nikola-in-reworked-deal/ar-BB19CSv0?ocid=uxbndlbing https://www.autonews.com/automakers-suppliers/gm-considers-boosting-stake-nikola-reworked-deal-report-says New Tesla Crate motor for your V8 powered auto.

Nope as it stated, he worked in the mines for 17 years and black lung was rampant. He worked up into mgmt. left the mines and Gov started to move to put in places protection for the miners against Black Lung. He fought it, Ex-President Obama made the most stringent changes in the last couple decades to reduce the dust that causes Black Lung to a minimal effort requiring plenty of filtration, masks and fresh air and he still used everything he could to fight the new standards as they would cost more money reducing profits for the Coal company owners and share holders. History shows he could care less about the miners and yet now with the same Black Lung he is wanting companies to cover his medical. Hypocrite. IMHO

Seems Europe has done the first in depth review of assisted driving systems and Tesla has come up short compared to so many other auto companies. Many of the review writeups say the same thing as this one. https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2020/10/euro-ncap-develops-assisted-driving-assessment-bashes-autopilot/ The actual details of the testing and final scores are here: https://www.euroncap.com/en/vehicle-safety/safety-campaigns/2020-assisted-driving-tests/ https://www.euroncap.com/en/ratings-rewards/assisted-driving-gradings This does make me wonder how they would rate the Cadillac SuperCruise system. Very cool channel, Hydraulic Press Channel
