Want a good laugh, watch this Cyber Truck review as this guy is a hard core Tesla lover. At 10:03 you can see a bit of the side to see how TERRIBLE the design is as the back seats are a good 6 inches below the front seats. As such, the people in the back will never see out the front as they will be sitting in a hole. Terrible truck design. The guy does nail one thing right, stop thinking of this as a truck and think of it as a new category of auto. What that is I have no Idea, but after seeing and listening to this guy, I AM NOT SOLD on the Cyber Truck.

Sad to hear that the teen girls lost their life. Clearly the video above shows the guy is a Tesla lover and is NOT a balanced review. He says GM is behind and too slow to building EV's and yet Tesla has proven again and again that they are always late on delivery of their own tech and I challenge the guy on Tesla having the best quality in the world on Software and Auto build. What a joke. The Guy talks as if the Tesla Cyber Truck is already a production auto and that GM has not proven it can beat the Tesla Cyber Truck. What a Joke this guy really needs to suck some clean air and rethink his review.

Green Car Report is also reporting that Ford has delayed the Escape Plug-In Hybrid till 2021. Rated at 37 miles of pure electric driving and combined 41 mpg average, the delay comes as European regulators says there is a fire hazard for the auto. The recall is based on 7 plug-in fires that have happened and Ford has recalled all 20,500 that have been sold so far in Europe. Ford has stated for owners to drive in EV auto mode only and not charge their auto's. Seems the battery pack next to the fuel tank is causing an unspecified fire to happen while charging. Makes me think Ford Pinto Bomb mobile. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1129954_ford-delays-escape-plug-in-hybrid-deliveries-to-2021

Picked up by the Green Car Report site, UK Startup Arrival that is building Electric Busses and delivery vans for Europe has picked their site for building in the US. They will be building 10,000 plus of these vans for UPS use in inner city deployment first in the US and has an open contract with Arrival for an unspecified allotment of more vans.

Battery Wars are on! Inobat from Voderady Slovakia has introduced an EV battery with denser cells than anything out there even Tesla. a 20% boost in range that they will start production of in 2021 showing up in EVs of 2022 as 2023 model year. CEO Marian Bocek former Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer have joined to mass produce these batteries for the auto industry. Tesla teased on Battery day that they would have this energy density by 2025, Inobat actually has shown off the real thing that is going into production starting in 2021 and plans to produce up to 10 gigawatt of cell production by 2025. China's CATL battery producer has stated that they will have a 45% denser battery cell design in production by 2025. Seems the war is on to reduce the size of battery packs while increasing the energy density per cell. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1129928_inobat-claims-20-range-boost-by-2023-gigafactory-by-2025

EV News of the Day. Tesla has increased the range of the Tesla X. Seems Tesla has done a mid year refresh and started to call the Tesla X 2021 models with a 371 mile range over the 2020 model of 351 miles. Seems Panasonic is delivering their updated denser battery cells that the Tesla S & X use. https://electrek.co/2020/10/13/tesla-model-x-range-increase-2021/ https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/2021-model-x-monroney-sticker-range-increase.209560/ Next News is the all New Mercedes-Benz EV SUV. The EQC 4x4 off road EV. According to the press release, the EQC 4x4 rides higher than a standard EQC or the G Wagon. While no info on what the HP or Torque is, MB does state that they will compete with Rivian in a solid off road recreational SUV. https://electrek.co/2020/10/13/mercedes-benz-rugged-eqc-4x4-electric-off-road-suv/ https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/mercedes-eqc-4x4-squared-off-road-concept/ https://www.thedrive.com/news/37040/mercedes-benz-eqc-4x4-this-is-what-happens-when-you-give-an-ev-portal-axles Seems some sites talk more with MB than others as the following site states this EV SUV has 402 HP and 561 lb-ft of torque. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/13/mercedes-benz-eqc-off-road-portal-axles/ Seems the EQC which is what the 4x4 EV above is based on is set to be released December 13th 2020 as a 2021 model. They do not say if actual EQC EVs will be on the dealer lots or not. So this makes me wonder if an actual purchase will happen or if a reservation will happen starting on Dec 13th 2020. Great details on the EQC EV SUV at the link below. https://www.thecarhp.com/news/2021-mercedes-benz-eqc-preview-expected-prices-release-date-mpg-and-performance#:~:text=Expected Price and Release Date of 2021 Mercedes-Benz,extended up to %2476%2C620 for the advanced trim.

WOW, you truly to do not read the actual info, but read bits and make assumptions. As I said being married to a Korean which gets me a much closer look into the community here in the US and Korea due to family, I am only reporting how the Koreans see Hyundai / Kia. I NEVER SAID I was an Oracle, but thank you for giving me some god like status. While GM has made major improvements in some areas post Bankruptcy, there are others where they need to still make major improvements in. Same with Hyundai / Kia. Interiors are Subjective to each persons taste and yet no one auto company is hitting nothing but home runs as we all have stated here and that includes GM, but lately FORD is really hitting the recalls as is Toyota in comparison to GM or Hyundai / Kia. J.D. Powers is a snapshot in time, a short time but as is showing recently, the last few years Hyundai / Kia have been hitting better than average compared to even GM.

Let me throw a bigger monkey wrench into this thought as being married to a Korean, in Korea as well as here in the US. Kia and Hyundai are seen as Equals with Genesis being their Luxury brand and the Stinger is the start of the Hyundai / Kia Performance sub brand. Kind of like how many of us saw Pontiac. Koreans see the Hyundai / Kia as an entry point into an auto with two distinct styles. If you want Performance you go Kia / Stinger, If you want normal auto with some luxury you go Hyundai and then full Luxury is Genesis. I see the Hyundai Santa Fe adding in the Buick mid Luxury level in trim packages. If you start looking at the last 5 years, you will find that Hyundai / Kia are very much on par with Chevrolet and below Buick but improving. The Hyundai / Kia advantage is that they give far superior value in buying one of their auto's in packages at a lower price point versus GM products which many here myself included has stated that the price point with the packages is crazy high. It really would be better for GM to reduce the prices and also reduce the crazy discount money on the hood crap. Here are some interesting reviews that prove that the reliability and longevity is on par between GM / Hyundai / Kia. https://repairpal.com/cars/compare/chevrolet-cruze-vs-hyundai-sonata https://www.kbb.com/comparison/2020-hyundai-santa-fe-vs-2020-chevrolet-blazer-comparison/ https://repairpal.com/cars/compare/chevrolet-malibu-vs-hyundai-sonata This is very interesting as Buick is on Top with Kia right behind. https://www.jdpower.com/Cars/Ratings/Dependability/2020/Small-SUV Kia has 6 awards and is in the top 6 best auto companies for 2020. https://www.jdpower.com/Cars/Ratings For 2020 J.D. Power Initial Quality Awards makes a very interesting read. Seems Dodge is the #1 followed by Kia, Chevrolet, Genesis, etc. You can see that Hyundai is above Cadillac. https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2020-initial-quality-study-iqs
