  1. Agree, with Drew not around or Bill, seems the sales stuff has slid off. Some interesting numbers for sure. https://www.cbtnews.com/how-auto-sales-fared-in-q2-2020-amid-pandemic/ https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2020/07/seeing-red-u-s-auto-sales-q2-2020/
  2. @USA-1 Sorry, I looked back and thought I had posted the updated Story that talked about the last couple weeks of Arizona leading the nation in infections and deaths. My Bad. The rest I will reply DM to keep it all auto from here out. Investors had an interesting report on 13 companies headed for a train wreck. Ford is among these 13 companies. Looks like 5.2 billion lost for the Q2 on top of the last quarter. Over all sales are expected to be down 58% from a year ago and down 500% from it's 28 cents a share profit to a Negative $1.24 per share loss. OUCH https://www.investors.com/etfs-and-funds/sectors/sp500-analysts-train-wreck-quarter-coming-companies-stocks/
  3. Over Priced Cosmetics
  4. Agree that based on current exchange $50,872 is pricey for this car, but then Europe is used to paying way more than we are for an auto.
  5. Still better looking than a Tesla style wise! 201 RWD HP 229lb ft of torque Not bad for a subcompact. Now that I see it is a subcompact, will never come here to the US.
  6. VW seems to have a got hatch EV coming out in Europe. Hope it comes here, very good looking. https://electrek.co/2020/07/08/vw-seat-2021-cupra-el-born-stunning-electric-hot-hatchback/ Rivian has secured a $2.5 Billion round of funding to insure long term operations. To Quote: Today, the startup announced a new $2.5 billion round of funding – its first in 2020: T. Rowe Price used to be one of Tesla’s biggest investors before it sold most of its shares last year. Joe Fath, portfolio manager of T. Rowe Price Growth Stock Fund, commented on the investment round: Rivian disclosed the other investors in the round: Soros Fund Management LLC, Coatue Fidelity Management and Research Company Baron Capital Group Amazon BlackRock Baron Capital Group, Fidelity, and Blackrock are also all current major investors in Tesla. https://electrek.co/2020/07/10/rivian-secures-billion-funding-tesla-investors/#more-140204 Seems a Tesla Model Y has arrived in Sweden a year ahead of the launch and is owned by Volvo. Reverse Engineering anyone? https://electrek.co/2020/07/10/tesla-model-y-lands-europe-thanks-volvo-reverse-engineer/#more-140188
  7. I happily send ya some rain.

  9. Such a blinded Righty! Guess reading the fine print is hard since this was about the last few weeks since the ignorant governor opened everything up, encouraging people to go shopping, go out to eat. All fake news as he kisses the incompetent ass of the president. Yup this is a political post since you went with giving me a label. First I am an Independent, I vote for the best person in that office not a party line of BS. Second, I posted the story as I DO CARE about EVERYONE here and in our country regardless of political leaning. Stay Safe, Wear a face mask and do your best till we have a cure for this pandemic. End of political, back to Auto's. Nice to see the CO2 levels dropping across the globe, sadly with people going back to life as usual levels are going back up affecting the planet. Some very interesting studies on the whole EV versus ICE debate on which produces the most CO2. Coal energy does take EV's up to par with ICE, but for the most part, EV's win out. https://blog.ucsusa.org/rachael-nealer/gasoline-vs-electric-global-warming-emissions-953 https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/mar/23/electric-cars-produce-less-co2-than-petrol-vehicles-study-confirms https://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/headlines/society/20190313STO31218/co2-emissions-from-cars-facts-and-figures-infographics https://www.homechargingstations.com/co2-emissions-electric-vehicle/ https://www.inverse.com/article/60305-electric-vehicles-versus-fossil-fuel-cars-on-the-environment
  10. Awesome, the cold summer here has everything growing slow. just got flowers but no toms yet for the wife. I will grow them but not eat them.
  11. That is truly crazy, but not out of line if it is a full package of motors, controllers, wires, battery pack, etc to fit into an established auto. Pricing out the parts not including the battery pack for my suburban has me at just under $20k for everything. Size of the battery pack will be the biggest cost.
  12. Agree, they are some expensive taxis. Course Oslo lets ya write off 50% cost 1st years and then other 50% cost second year. I also wondered about the charge times as the company making the wireless charge pads say they continuously charge as you sit over it. Still cool tech use.
  13. Some cool stuff out on the EV front. Whole new industry has started up as they have found they can Shred Li-Ion cells and recover the bulk of the materials to make new batteries. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/recovering-usable-battery-grade-materials-from-shredded-li-ion-cells-free-webcast/ Seems Oslo is moving ahead of the world to a clean transport mode for the taxis as they have gone to putting in Wireless charging pads so Taxi's never have to leave their lane while waiting for the next fare and get recharged all at the same time. This allows for a high speed wireless charge keeping the batteries at their optimal charged point. Oslo has choosen to go with Jaguar i-Pace as the taxi of choice for use in the city of Oslo. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/jaguar-i-pace-electric-taxis-charging-wirelessly-in-oslo/ Interesting details on a company that is improving how Auto OEMs can reduce start up costs on making battery packs. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/improving-ev-battery-manufacturing-production-costs/
  14. Cut tomato sauce with heavy amount of cane sugar to get to a neutral PH level and I can tolerate it, but the Heart Burn sucks. Grew up on eating homemade Tomato soup and as I got older, it just made me ill. My body seems to not get along with Tomato anything. Rather have a Pesto Chicken pizza. My other goto Pizza is BBQ Chicken Pizza. Everything is better with BBQ sauce. Pizza is awesome, white sauce pizza everything is da Bomb!
  15. @trinacriabob Seriously pass on all things Tomatoes. That is one fruit that seriously makes me puke. How does the Icecream taste with turkey in it?
  16. Glycol
  17. Today was the day I had to go in, pack up my cubicle and became like @Robert Hall working from home full time. At least I got my setup at home now. On the way out with all my stuff, saw a true oldie along with a modern auto in the parking garage. Have to say seeing the eTron again, that CUV has a phat ass. Sadly, so many businesses are gone. One of my favorite as they made just awesome breakfast/lunch only meals was "The Biscuit Bitch" RIP.
  18. Shortage FYI, seems the Pandemic is causing a shortage being produced. Mountain Dew Fans need to stock up.
  19. Are you sure your not talking about DC? ? Same Shit different Capital.
  20. Seems Canada has decided they do not want us. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/8-in-10-canadians-want-border-with-us-to-remain-closed-due-to-virus-concerns-poll/ar-BB16uJ4T?ocid=msedgntp 8 in 10 Canadians want the border to remain closed to the US.
  21. Ya gotta love the look and Mitsubishi products to buy this when so many other better options are out there.
  22. Caffeine
  23. Stay safe my friend, I hear 25% of those tested are positive for Covid-19 and Arizona is now running the highest infection rate with highest death rate. Scary.
