G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Since your supposed to get sub-zero Artic blast with heavy Snow, how fast do the new heaters / defrost warm up? less than 30 seconds? -
Very cool, My dad loves her, I honestly have never seen what people thought was so great about her. Very Cool Pontiac.

Thanks for making me laugh. There are some lovely metallic browns out there that I do like, but just plain regular brown is blah. The whole grey / charcoal thing is spot on IMHO. Worse yet is when the owners of these same colored auto's drive as predawn or late dusk and have no lights on so the auto just blends into the low light level scenery and they wonder why they got hit. Had a coworker who has a grey 4runner and got hit early in the morning and was all pissed that the other person did not see him. I asked him if he had his lights on and the answer was no. I said you got what you got because while you think you can see fine, many others out there cannot see you and you should have had your headlights on. Driving with no lights in early morning or late night with the low light condition is not good especially for seniors. All he did was complain about the other person, not willing to take any responsibility for his own lack of action.

That is the best looking image of that ugly mug! William, does the seat go all the way down to the floor or does it stop and still have considerable gap underneath? If the seat is all the way back for long legs, how much room is between the back of the front seat and the back seat? Can a person site behind the driver? Yes Tall person who has found like the 2007 Escalade over the 2006 I could not sit in with out being seriously reclined due to the seat not going all the way down to the floor for us very tall body people.. -
Yup, The current CEO seems to think all electric, which I am very excited about especially now that they are looking to electrify the GMC Sierra!

Love this as an alternative to the Rivian R1T and the F150e. Would be great as that is what we want, a crewcab all electric pickup truck.

I can respect that about your seating position. For me, I have to put it flat on the floor due to my size. Yet the wife love to have the seat at the top, looking over the steering wheel and a bit down. Interesting how people like their seat position. Also amazing how many auto's have very limited electric seating position when they have the room for it. Perfect example is the Mazda CX9 I rented for a family vacation 2 years ago. Worst electric seats ever and I was totally cramped in that auto. Worst ride, comfort, etc. would never recommend a CX9 to anyone and yet so many people even here on this forum love them.

I want my K5 Blazer in Deep Forest Metallic Green, with BF Goodrich A/T tires please along with detroit lockers front and rear and a 65 to 1 crawl ratio like the Hummers had. Sales numbers would indicate that while the Taco faithful have stuck to them every other brand suffered and lost sales to the GM Twins.

GMC News: GMC Introduces the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in GMC Trucks
I will agree to disagree as you can clearly still see a strong resemblance that dates the look of the auto. Pretty much every Auto company is guilty of this too, some just truly change things up more often than others. It also can be a more conservative approach due to a more liberal one. -

Very true, I agree that GM missed really taking the Escalade to the next level. With that said, they are still one of the comfiest road trip auto's to have for large people like me. Biggest problem that they did not correct till the next generation of Escalade was that from 2006 to 2007, the 2007 lost the ability for large people to put the seat on the floor and it cost head room and space. That cheapness of the power seat system to save a few dollars was just pathetic. Another reason I love the 2006 over the platform change in 2007.

GMC News: GMC Introduces the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty

I get the eyebrow LED thing but the over all cars especially still look like circa 1990's to me and having 1 or 2 or 3 rows of LED lights to tell them apart really is not enough to tell the difference at a quick glance. Now FORD and GM with their Trucks have made some clear differences and built some easy to see day time running lights with the LEDs. Fords are so bright in some cases I have wondered if they have high beams on. I do like the way GMC has done it better than Ford. -
For me this will never be something I would use as most people do not take care of an auto the way I do. Most people treat an auto like a disposable consumable and so why would I want to share an auto and pay on something that the other person would just possibly trash. Nope, not for me and never will be. Want proof of how bad it is look at how rental auto's are treated and trashed.

GMC News: GMC Introduces the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in GMC Trucks
Just pointing out SMK continuous MB Best Luxury Brand ever with their style, quality, blah blah blah blah and how most cannot tell it apart. You are correct that pretty much all Auto companies have moved to a single consistent design that grows stale over time. MB, BMW and Audi I would say take the cake for some of the oldest looking new auto's out there. -

GMC News: GMC Introduces the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty

Yet your favorite Luxury brand, the #1 selling product line did a pathetic re-badge of a Japanese truck. That is Forgettable along with the hard to tell apart style of S-Class to A-Class. -
Yet what Toyota has been left to ROT on the vine as you say like the G-Wagon was. Rotting from 1972 inception till 2018. Yes according to MB they did updates and tweaks, but the core of the auto was the same for 46 years. Yes if you go by Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_G-Class) you will say it was new due to a revised chassis so 1990 to 2018 was a new model compared to 1972 to 1989. So if we go that route you have 17 years before any major changes to the core and then 28 years. Toyota has not left anything that long on the same platform.
