@A Horse With No Name So in looking at the GM Performance Site, they have lots of tweaks for the motor in the GS. Pretty cheap way to improve performance output. Yes, not all say they will work with this motor but this 3.6L V6 is used in so many different auto's I bet you could easily use them on the GS. Funny to see Mopar Performance motors on the GMPerformance web site. ?♂️

A Brief Note from Your Friendly Staff Writer
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in The Lounge
@William Maley Thank you for all you did here, it was a pleasure of enjoyment to read your postings. Best of luck for the new position. Look forward to an update on how the new job goes. Keep Fighting ? to achieve your dreams and desires and you will win! -
Thank you, I never looked in the auto, but it is weird to see it fail like that. He also could have been doing something really weird. Wish I had taken a picture but needed to get the shopping done and back home.

Yet if you need this type of a work truck and especially if you have a farm, you probably already have Diesel tractors, so why bother with the Gas Motor when I bet the Diesel is far more efficient. ?

Now this I do not get, if you need the capability of a Super Duty, then Diesel is really the only common sense way to go. Gas is so inefficient, cool big block motor though. Thank you for posting, it is interesting to see Ford do this.

Hyundai News:Rumorpile: Hyundai Tucson N May Pack 340 Horsepower
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Hyundai
That is not what I am seeing or hearing and OEM EV options as they become more common will take off as more and more people will be happy to drop the maintenance and trips to the gas station unless on a road trip. -
Very sharp looking, great job on the build, I like the non-chrome appearance. What is your price range you want to stay within? Then maybe various folks here can play with builders and see if they can find you something you will like.

Then maybe you should wake up to the future that is coming. Oil Companies have as Shell will have their stations outfitted with Chargers for pay just like in Europe starting this year as they go about installing all across North America. Read the future here: -
Agree with your assessment, the Camaro is sterile.

Ran to the Korean grocery store, saw a brand new Ford Explorer that the front passenger tire was pushed right back into the wheel well. Guy looking at it and I asked him how it happened. Said he was in 2wd mode, it was slipping so pushed the 4x button at 35mph and then heard a loud snap noise and next thing he was spun around and so he drove it into the parking lot here. Me think he hit 4L and ended up with this result, his drive line to the wheel was snapped at the boot. Weird break but the whole suspension is all ripped up. Not impressed with how easily everything just tore apart. Gonna be expensive to repair.

I like your thinking, time for a clean reboot on various product lines.

Greenlots acquired by Shell
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I really hope that GM's announcement of supporting the 800V charging system is spot on with also being CCS supported. This is what I see the future being as we have quick minute recharge times of smooth Torque EVs.- 9 replies

Agree that Mild Hybrid is a waste of resources as we now are producing electric motors that can cause a Camaro to do a Wheelie and give amazing Torque and performance. Why bother with mild Hybrid when you can have hot ICE or Hot pure Electric.

Hopefully some of these folks have current skill sets that allow them to get picked up by Rivian or Atlis auto companies.

That is awesome, I just DO NOT get why people cannot take the time to clearly remove the snow from their auto. Idiot assholes right and left. That guy looked pissed but at least just did the right thing, clear the window and move on.

Sounds like a fine send off before an EV version is introduced. -
Seattle is under a winter storm advisory, currently snowing hard with 5 inches on the ground at my house. Yesterday saw multiple X90 AWD up on the pass skiing and they were having difficulty getting into the parking lot. When they finally got parked, I noticed almost slicks on all 4 tires, way past 10% mark. I made the casual comment that they needed new tires and the response was, no I have AWD. Tires are fine. I have come to realize that people can be really stupid as they are clueless about AWD versus Tires.

Chevrolet Camaro eCOPO is A 700 HP Electric Drag Car
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in S.E.M.A
Grew up probably spending more time on a track and actually turning a wrench than you have owned cars. Creating noise rather than listening to the amazing planet we live on if you ever did you just might actually hear the soul of more than just a superior auto. Neutered? Right, who has a wife and 2 kids? Guess we know who is Neutered! -
Royal Dutch Shell us a global oil / gas producing company and yet even they see that the future will be about servicing the needs of energy by more than one traditional source as they have expanded in the last few years with solar, wind, natural gas, bio-fuel, hydrogen effectively covering various energy fronts. Shell then took this a step further last year when they bought NewMotion Charging with operates for profit 30,000 plus charging points across Netherlands, Germany, France and the U.K. This deal becomes the foundation for Shell's continued expansion of offering electric mobility charging solutions at their North America stations using Greenlots technology team. Together Shell will offer best in class software and services that enable large-scale deployment of Smart Charging Infrastructure and integrate efficiently with advanced energy resources like solar, wind and power storage. With the NewMotion purchase, Shell started with adding recharging service at their stations across the U.K. with expansion through out the rest of 2018 and into 2019 in their four original markets with expansion in Europe. Royal Dutch Shell has again expanded their recharging service by purchasing Greenlots one of the leading private for profit companies based in Los Angela's California. Shell and Greenlots sees a seismic shift in how people and goods are transported. To Quote Brett Hauser, CEO of Greenlots, "sees Electrification enabling a more connected, autonomous and personalized experience of auto mobility. Greenlots technology, backed by the resources, scale and reach of Shell will accelerate this transition of future mobility ecosystem that is safer, cleaner and more accessible." Shell will be spending between $1-2 billion a year adding Recharging stations across North America as electricity recharging becomes a significant part of its business co-existing along side other forms of fuel from CNG, LNG, Hydrogen and traditional gas / diesel. Shell chargers will start off as basic DC/AC level 3 charging options but will be changed as faster versions come on the market such as the 800V fast chargers the auto industry is looking at using for new electric vehicles that are coming to market. Greenlots currently has charging in 13 countries around the world making Shell one of the leading recharging as a service vendors now. Shell now becomes a major vendor in selling recharging equipment for retail business, apartment / condo's, homes, cities, Utilities, workplaces, mass transit lots, etc. Greenlots currently has 350 DC fast chargers located across the U.S. on major freeway systems at public rest areas currently focused on the core East Coast and the Pacific Electric Highway, I5 which runs from Vancouver B.C. south to Baja California. Greenlots is a major player with having signed an agreement with Electrify America the Volkswagen-subsidiary that is spending billions to install chargers all across the U.S. which will be credit card / debit card accessible for recharging by any EV. Shell has not stated what their gas station Rechargers will look like here in North America. BMW and Kia are customers that when you purchase an EV from these auto vendors, the charger you can buy for your home will be a Greenlots charger. View full article

Chevrolet Camaro eCOPO is A 700 HP Electric Drag Car
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in S.E.M.A
And now we get to see the eCOPO destroy ICE at the Strip with an Awesome Wheelie to boot! Chevrolet is now Racing the eCOPO. You will never hear it coming or going! The person who shot the video claimed it was only running at 80 percent of its max power as it achieved a 10.142-second quarter-mile time at 130.85 miles per hour. -
That is one of the GM Premium upgraded packages you have to pay for. Sadly not everyone buys the upgrades.
