  1. I would bet on an RS CUV over a RS Car.
  2. That is one HOT HOT Car!
  3. As much as Station wagons are cool, it would be a bad move to bring it here, I doubt they would sell many if any. Right now they need CUVs.
  4. As I said in the trucks or SUVs /CUVs where you need to haul / pull a trailer these make sense, but in cars with the tech we have on Hybrid and petro, diesel is a no go I think. Yes I will adjust to include the smaller CUVs but even then I think the cost over all of the powertrain and fuel makes it a hard sale now as we move forward with Hybrids that can equal or beat Diesel.
  5. Awesome, Are you and Drew going to the show? While I would never own a Toyota myself, I am very happy for them rolling out a new line of TRD Pro's as this will make everyone else also step up their game. Good for all!
  6. RIP Environment USA! Yea, not really seeing a need for Diesel auto's other than the Trucks or full size SUVs for hauling trailers.
  7. Voluntary!, Come on Audi, you knew about the illegal software and you went Voluntary? Guess if they wanted to truly force killing off Diesel they have achieved that since pretty much Diesel is dead in many markets and I bet Europe will see a change in that fuel also.
  8. End of year performance reviews, I hate these as they really can be more political than actual facts I feel sometimes.
  9. I understand and get your point. Also I am not applying this next thought to you but just making an observation. The point I am making is that the culture also has affected this attitude due to the way the GOVs take so much of a person's income there. People who have grown up here and never been there do not understand that point compared to those that have lived abroad and had to deal with it in the past. Some love the all things small, socialist approach, but others do not. That is the point I was trying to make. Buy like you said, back on the FCA Topic, they see a need for a smaller footprint CUV in Europe and can sell it better for them. This is the one area I believe Ford and GM have both failed at in not realizing the need to build to their market, but trying to export American style of Auto to Europe. I doubt they could sell that small auto here and make money on it, but it might just work in Europe and Asia where people are also much smaller.
  10. @ocnblu and @daves87rs Talk about a shock when you search beef curtains. Cool, look forward to hearing about it and your thoughts on various models.
  11. Hell, the whole Europeans only buy small auto's is BS. As long as they are socialist and take such a large chunk of a persons income to support the bulk of lazy gov and gov supported citizens, they are unable to buy larger more comfortable auto's. I have talked with many coworkers who complain about how much the gov takes in taxes and as such liimits their ability to buy more things or higher quality things. It really does suck in various ways. Europe has plenty of cool things to visit, but would not ever want to live there. One has to wonder also if their current system is not a reason why road size sucks, Humanity has always rebuilt and changes things, staying static is a fast path to death.
  12. Interesting, the trailer for this movie has stuck nothing to interest me and the reviews by the pro's I take with a grain of salt. Might just have to check it out as I loved the movie Unstoppable. In regards to the recent Oscar nomination, that whole mess has become a political ass kissing nightmare. I have to question giving a nomination to a film that was only available to be seen at the indie film festival or was made out of the country and in a limited market with no access to anyone else to see it. It was a discussion yesterday at lunch and coworkers were talking about how you could nominate a film that cannot be viewed at all in this day and age of streaming to the world and is not in theaters but was only shown at one exclusive place like a film festival and was only seen by a few hundred people. To me the Oscars, golden globes, etc., all those award shows are all about a group of people patting themselves on the back and playing inner industry politics. Love Film analysis, took it all through college, but most people do not have that view point so many of the nominations in many of the categories makes no sense but to only those insiders playing their own game.
  13. “Precision Crafted Performance” Right there is the key to the fact that they are not going after the best performance with crazy HP, but Precision Crafted so more like a fine plastic surgery compared to gastric bypass.
  14. Yup, that did not register and now makes my argument against the stupid wood wall even more so as in a 2 door, if you cannot get out the drivers side you now have to crawl over the wall to get out the passenger side. Still do not like that middle wood block. A back seat setup like the CT6 or S-Class is the better way to go I think. If you do not like the middle section then yes two captain chairs with your wood section between them but the foot area is open allowing you to get out either front door.
  15. What about New York, will Cadillac not have any releases or concepts revealed there? I get non of the others due to size and lack of prestige, but I also wonder like balthazar, when and where will GM unveil the 2019 Sierra? That is why I thought maybe Texas would be the point to show off GMC. There has to be Cadillac at New York I would think, that leaves just GMC release of their 2019 truck and anything else at some show. Just learned that the richest woman in Germany is Susanne Klatten, 53 yrs old worth 20.2 Billion and she inherited BMW with her brother as they own together 50% of the company. They also used to own Atlanta AG a pharmaceutical company but they sold it off last year for $6 billion dollars. Now just focused on BMW. Interesting,
  16. Originally when Seattle had our KingDome, SODO stood for South of the Dome. Since the KingDome was destroyed and rebuilt for the Seahawks as Quest field, an open air stadium, SODO now stands for South of Downtown.
  17. If ya ever come out let me know and we can meet up and have a beer, wine or some other wonderful drink on me.
  18. @Cubical-aka-Moltar Those are nice buildings that do not look like warehouses. Here is one from the latest news as they debate how to rejuvenate the Sodo district. From the Seahawks football stadium to the south of the West Seattle freeway you can see is what is called the SODO district. Nothing but old warehouse space. 50% still in use, 50% empty sitting useless usually due to not being earthquake safe.
  19. I would agree with you guys in regards to buildings that have had old masters that did artwork with the brick, roof overhangs, etc. If a building has some real artistry to it and it can be modernized to be earthquake safe and repurpose, then yes. But in the SODO district we are talking old brick or old cement warehouses that were never used as an office building or has real historical importance other than it was built in the late 1800's to early 1900's and are falling apart. Those buildings, tear down and build new.
  20. I can understand that and would not expect that 99.9% of the time anyone would sit there, but it gives options and looks very nice plus the two outside seats are very comfy equal to captain chairs in my opinion. @ccap41 and @Cubical-aka-Moltar Yes we have the old style Captain Chairs and what MB and Cadillac has done as well as others is make a modern 21st century take on them that allows for better flexibility over the captain chairs.
  21. MB S-Class comes to mind! Cadillac CT6 is a Perfect Example. To just name a few. I see no reason they could not do this kind of seating in the Rover.
  22. Yup, that episode was based on our SODO district here in Seattle.
  23. Weird, but I can see maybe the release being there and I wonder why JD Powers on their 2017-2018 auto show list does not list Chicago. I totally forgot about it. Maybe the crime families did not pay JD off! Weird, must be the size thing as this is not on the JD Powers auto show list either.
  24. Yup, I agree it is not the prettiest truck out there, but the aerodynamics are there for an EV powertrain or a very efficient small engine as an inner city truck.
  25. I disagree, there have been captain chair bench seats that are very luxurious and gives you that option of having the mid seat. For me having individual captain chairs here is fine and I would like that with a center stack between the chairs but the open space in the foot area. The two rear passengers should be able to easily get out either door and not have to step over a center wall divide. All you stated and the story states it will have can be done without having to have the wall there. This can still be very luxurious with two captain chairs and no center wall in the foot area.
