  1. You can't work on your car in your on your own property.
  2. The car I almost bought for no reason because in my house you buy a car out of need not want. It was my Bonneville nothing was wrong with my other 3 cars at the time I just wanted it... My son found it on the net at a local dealer for over 14K off of sticker with 3,800 miles on 'er. Went down to the dealer wife tried to talk me out of it, but bought 'er anyways. The first car I bought in one day without testing drivinga anything else. I just was in love. Also the first and last car I will just go and look at then (just wanted to see it) but ended up falling in love and buying. I was nuts but so glad I got haven't seen one without leather and a moonroof stuff I didn't want in SLE trim I mean. It was meant to be.
  3. 66 Sorry to say this has been posted somewhere else already. Good article tho man.
  4. I'll try the spanking but uhh I don't think it'll change her mind. Her mom is helping her ponying up the money, cause they got it. Trust me... Well off to work! I'll tell you all how it goes!
  5. New 2007 Camry owners? Thank God you have the Seb and Saturn...
  6. Well I go tomorrow afternoon to get her new CUV with her, so I will check once more in the morning for any final suggestions (prolly 6 or 7ish) and then off to work and then I am going to the Quad Cities to get it with her.
  7. But will Toyota really want to talk about how great it is back in Japan when they are trying to be as American as apple-pie with the new and ugly Turd? I think not.
  8. Future could you post the pix of your black Camry rental car?
  9. I have seen many 30 and 40 year old males in Lucerne CXL's and CXS's. Old farts drive CX's with cloth and a bench seat.
  10. It was November 1990 and I was on the hunt for a new car to replace my 1977 Bonneville I really wanted another Bonneville for the size, big motor and the style. That was along time ago and I was short on cash but anyways on with the story. My local Pontiac dealer had a white over tan 1991 Bonneville SSE with leather and and no moonroof and body colored white 16inch "swooshy rims" white wheels, that I made him move out of the show-room so I could drive it. I really loved it we talked numbers and almost bought it via a loan, but ultimately my wife said we need to own the WHOLE car. So guess what we paid cash for all the Grand Prix, that we are getting closer to retiring. It was a great car tho for us. No major problems yet, knock on wood. I wish I would have gotten the SSE because I would need to keep to add to my Bonneville collection. Yes collection if I ever get rid of that car my son will get it and keep it forever no doubt. If that isn't love and a passion for Pontiac's and GM cars what is? What my son say's he would own today if he only could have five cars... (Five cars plus my SLE) 2008 Cadillac DTS Platinum Performance Package 2008 Buick Enclave CXL FWD or Torrent GXP FWD 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Ext. Cab Short Box 2WD Vortec 6.0L 2008 Pontiac G8 GT 1987 Buick GNX or 1972 GTO 455 ci. H.O. with Sports Stripe 2005 Bonneville SLE (my car!) I told him to get a good job... And said I agree almost perfectly with that list...
  11. I agree with future here, GM needs to advertise did anyone read the Impala story about the lease they saw and then leased one. That is the best thing for them is to know what to market and how to market it.
  12. I am a church goer and I see a mix of domestic's and imports but less older people in domestics, they all have Camry's even Corolla's that are getting fleeted like nuts. *So much for Toyota resale!* Alot of younger well to due people have Z71 Suburbans, Tahoes or the same in LT or LTZ trim. The G6 has taken off, I thought alot were fleeted? But that is good news I hope the next G6 is FWD and not RWD on the Alpha or whatever it will be called. They need a volume model or two (above 100,000 sales annually!). I personally love the G6 but it needs the 4 cylinder and 6spd. auto like the Malibu is getting.
  13. I love the funny red-neck truck vid's on youtube.
  14. Yeah the MDX has a good motor and tranny. I think the Q7 is ugly and the Porshe Cayenne is rather nice looking.
  15. Yeah I was in Des Monies in January this year and saw lots of old farts with Camry's too. I see it to a lesser extent in small towns in Iowa and Wisconson. They have local Ford and Chevy dealer that is where everyone gets there cars.
  16. This is like music to my ears good luck.
  17. I saw my first and second Enclave on the road today. Both CXL's one silver and one in the metallic bronze/brown color.
  18. They need more the 3,500 on the hood trust me. This is more good news indeed.
  19. I never thought about an MDX or RDX... I will suggest both. I bet she says I want the Lexus or Porsche she likes the names. And for some reason loves that ugly Audi. I know the RX is a good SUV my aunt has a 2000 RX-300 with 100,000 miles on it and it runs like a top. (Also it drives very nice!)
  20. Yup, they need it to look modern retro and the G8 is sexy but plain. I even admit that but love the styling. Once again styling is subjective.
  21. Really that is said in the south none the less.
  22. Fly pwns again. Fly I am sorry but I had to stick up for my baby.
  23. Raven I agree I see younger people in older ones...
  24. Future you made some excellent points although are town as a fair amount of folks who will only buy American in that age group I know a couple whom only buys Fords. I know some people who are very loyal to our popular local Chevy dealer whom has been there since 1926 I believe. So these people naturally drive Chevy's but when Toyota came to town late 80's it all began to change. Some boomer's like me drive domestic and value that but others don't they are liberals and think a 4 cylinder Camry is the best for the enviroment so do some republicans too, they are more often in a Lexus or Acura maybe Buick or Lincoln tho. It has been very intresting some people still insist on buying American, not that I don't see young people in a Camry but most often they are in Accords or Mazada 6's. Also the Equinox, Torrent, Freestyle have all been big hits in my town with the under 50 crowd. I see people with a Camaccord and a Equinox or Freestyle in the garage also. The Enclave, Outlook and Aciada are starting to catch on as well. Also I have seen more and more Silvy's and Serria's around... I still thought Toyota Camry's would be dominated by young people and in fact it has been more old, and more young going to domestics. My question remains is this good or bad?
  25. Nope she has driven all of the following... SRX- Doesn't like the looks off... M-Class- Didn't like how it drove... BMW- Didn't care for the looks... Hasn't checked an FX yet but doesn't want an Enclave to big and its a BUICK! Thats how she got her list... I guess so I am suggesting Lexus RX-400H for the gas milage or the Cayenne.
