JAMES HEALY XL7 review
I like Suzuki products, but I disagree with Healy's positive review. The one I drove for a week was cheap, cheap, cheap. Power was adequate and room was good, but the quality of the interior was cheap (have I said it was cheap?). As a long-time Suzuki owner, I have come to appreciate the vehicles they build and sell. But Suzuki is not alone in cheapening interiors over the past 10 years or so, and the XL7 shows this off. Does anyone else miss soft dashboards in inexpensive vehicles? Remember when a base SUV or pickup or compact car has a soft dashboard? You'd be hard-pressed to name a car or truck under $20,000 (in many cases even under $30,000) where the dashboard, door coverings, and anything else in the interior (aside from the seats and the steering wheel) are soft to the touch. Wouldn't you pay another $100 or $200 to not touch hard Fisher Price-like interior components in your car?

2007MY for New Tundra to Take Advantage of Old EPA
Really? This is what is considered "Toyota bashing" on this site? C'mon, can't you do better than that? Toyota introduces a "2007 1/2" truck (used to be done all the time) and you're complaining that it's being measured under the same standards as the Silverado/Sierra which were introduced only a few months earlier? Please. If Toyota introduced this truck as a 2008, they would be advertising fuel economy that would be automatically put on a scale that is 7-15% lower than the competition. Wouldn't that just be plain stupid? This doesn't sound like a loophole (like Chrysler did with its 1999 Ram Trucks that were introduced in Januarly 1998 to avoid CAFE charges), it sounds like good business. To use regular comments found on this site, if GM had done it, you would be bragging that they did what was necessary.

2007 North American Car & Truck Finalists!
How do you figure? It's not "pickup" of the year..and truck encompasses more than a vehicle with the ability to haul "a half tone of gravel in the back."

Spring Hill - Not dead yet
It's not failing. The brand new Avalanche (priced only slightly higher than the Honda) BARELY outsells the Ridgeline. And I expect the next-generation Ridgeline to be a big seller. This "failing" product has inspired GM and Ford to create versions of their own.

J.D. Power 2006 Customer Retention Study
The problem with surveys like this is in the people surveyed. Only 138,000 car and truck owners were surveyed...while that's an impressively high number, you still get a statistical error. When you only survey 138,000 people...and only 20,000 or so people purchased Isuzus last year (out of about 16 million vehicles sold), you're going to have a slim chance of finding Isuzu buyers, let alone "average" Isuzu buyers. If you look at JD Power surveys of years past, Porsche was either ranked really high in quality or was not ranked at all due to low numbers of Porsche owners polled. I'm sure that Isuzu just barely covered the necessary minimum number of owners to even make this poll. With Scion being such a narrowly focused brand, I'm quite surprised at how high they've ranked. Are buyers of xAs and xBs going back for a second one? Are they adding a tC to their (mother's) garage?
