Name: Ford Mustang Mach 1 (2003) Date Added: 22 May 2015 - 02:30 PM Owner: ccap41 Short Description: I no longer own her but I had some pictures and I know I'll talk about it so I might as well have her good looks accessible! I bought her with only 43,000 miles on the clock for 12,500. Only thing done was SLP catted Xpipe and SLP Loudmouth 1 catback. I absolutely love how the 4.6 sounds.. m favorite sounding vehicle..possibly ever. I'm not a fan of the SLP but I didn't see it worth the money to change it all out for essentially the same performance. I only had her for a year before I realized I can't drive it in the snow, at all. I felt terrible borrowing my parents vehicles even though they let me without hesitation. I sold it to be a grown up.. It was my second mustang. My first was a 2004 GT. I'll have to see if I can find some pictures of her. View Vehicle

You have $35k: Spec a (New) Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger

^ When it comes to "vents" and badges and strips around the cabing(windows)..I just think that stuff looks tacky. I really don't mind chrome wheels it is all the other chrome stuff that drives me nuts. It was actually the first thing I did to my Escape was to paint the badges on the hatch and the two chrome bars that go through the grill black. Thank God Plasti Dip makes amateurs look like pros. -

Yeah, but it would take about 30 minutes to make the Camaro look exactly like the chop. I have never left a vehicle I've purchased untouched. Not one. The Stingray for instance, within 2 days of owning it I had: 1) Blacked-out taillights 2) Blacked-out Chrome Strip on front 3) Put front Valance/Splitter on Carbon Flash 4) Tinted Windows 5) Put tinted overlays on all four marker lights and two rear reflectors by week 1.. had tuned it and removed CAGS As an enthusiast, I will never be happy with the way a car comes from the factory. There is always something I want to personalize. While I never leave anything I have factory, or the way I bought it. I've never overhauled something so quick! Are you also not a huge fan of chrome?? I've been 'diping my chrome pieces in black. Chrome(not on wheels) always just looks cheap to me. What % tint did you put on her? I will never have a vehicle without tinted windows anymore. Not after the first time I had m windows tinted, I'd never go back. I agree, Other than wheels, I hate chrome on my rides. Like Monochromatic for the most part. My Tint is illegal according to the state code and yet the amount of unmarked state troopers with limo black out windows all around is amazing. Never been pulled over for it either. There aren't too many of us who dislike chrome. I would only put chrome on my vehicles if I owned a dark red or dark blue vehicle because black wheels look out of place to me on those dark colors. Yeah, technically my windows are illegal as well.. but at legal levels it isn't really worth having done. I put 20% all the way around and I would never go lighter. Unless I get hasseled about it I'll never change it or even think twice about it. I drive an Escape right now anyway..what kind of ruckus could I get into with that anyway??? hahaha -

I'm a naked sports bike guy myself. I absolutely love the look and riding position. They look tough. I'm more a fan of the Triumph Street triple/Speed Triple, Ducati Streetfighter 848.. I'll have another one one day.. Till then I'll dick around on my scooter! Yeah, I own a scooter. -

I do agree.. If not pull on it I really thought it would be a side-by-side finish. -

1LE isn't under 35k! Now I've noticed the "ss" badge in the upper grill and the lower grill.. Where is it actually going to be? I like it in the upper grill a lot more. -

Expected more than 200mph in a half mile??? lol I'd like to see how the street version runs next to these cars. I don't think it would stand a chance against the Veyron. I'm pretty sure it is "only" 200hp but I think it would hold its own to the McLaren. -
Nice to see people venturing to my part of the country! I'm in southern IL. I've been to Gateway Motorsports Park quite a bit. I was there before they closed it for a year and sold it(only a few years ago). But, yes I have only taken m daily to the track..as it was my only car at the time. First was a '04 Mustang GT and a few years later a '03 Mach 1. Did you go on a Test n' tune night or a Midnight Madness night? As for oil... I'm currently running Pennzoil Ulltra Platinum with a Synthetic Purolator filter..

Watch a 300-HP Kawasaki H2R Race a Veyron, McLaren 12C, 1350-HP GT-R "Although the 2015 Kawasaki H2R is a track-only offering, the crew over at Super Street were eager to find out how well the supercharged sport bike would fare against three supercars including the McLaren MP4-12C, a 1200-hp Bugatti Veyron, and SP Engineering’s 1350-hp Nissan GT-R. Powered by a supercharged 998-cc inline-four cylinder engine, the 476-pound 2015 Kawasaki H2R makes a claimed 300 hp. With the engine and centrifugal supercharger designed together in-house, Kawasaki claims an intercooler isn’t needed to keep air inlet temperatures in check.A half-mile roll race at Minter Airfield in Shafter, Calif., between the world’s fastest production hyperbike and the three supercars was set up. Each race began from a 50-mph roll to the end of the quarter-mile, with a radar gun used to measure trap speed. ... And I know you all have an appreciation for speed! I hope you guys enjoy!

First, I love these hypothetical kind of threads! Second, For 35k I'd option a base mustang GT(32,300) with the performance package (2,500). As long as you don't add destination it keeps it under 35k. Also it'd be a Manual transmission. I'm currently "over" the manual transmission thing but if I had another mustang I couldn't not have a manual. It would definitely be cool to have the newest camaro but I have a little love for Mustangs. And being able to get the performance package seals the deal. If I couldn't fit the performance package in there I would say the 2.3 mustang would be a neat project kind of car to see what can be made out of the little mill but I'd want to option it out to maximize the 35k but adding all that weight kindof ruins some of what makes the little motor cool. So I would have to put that up against the v6 camaro. It would just be so hard to get a not v8 pony car. Even at 330hp and as quick as it will be.. It would still leave an opening in my heart for a v8 pony car. *gasp* Too much?!?!?! Blasphemy!! -
Name: Ford Escape (2013) Date Added: 21 May 2015 - 02:05 PM Owner: ccap41 Short Description: I bought her in Nvember with 34,000 miles on her. She is a Titanium with all the goodies except navigation. It still had the premium Sony sound system. Has the Pano sunroof, cool but unessesary if you ask me. It isn't fast by any means but the 2.0t keeps me entertained for the time being. I don't plan to stick much money into it as it isn't much of a toy but cars are one of my passions so there are always things to do. So far I've tinted the windows 20% all the way around, got rid of the hideous amber colored parking lights with white LEDs, also replaced the OEM fog light bulbs with white bulbs to match the HIDs. I recently changed the puddle lights(lights under the mirrors that light up when you lock/unlock the doors) to a blue LED just for the heck of it to see how that looked. View Vehicle

I absolutely love the IDEA of it. I don't think it is very practical of them but then again they don't have ANYTHING under the camaro that says performance. So to get the younger crowd to their name throw something genuinely sporty at them. I think a 400hp model should be the top tier like what Ford is doing with their Focus, Focus ST and Focus RS. But I think they should make a competitor to the "hot hatch" group even if it is a sedan(because the Cruze is only offered in a sedan).

Nice little review. I basically did the same a couple weeks ago when I saw one on a local lot. I too was very impressed with them in person. It also wasn't as tiny as I was expecting it to be. I didn't get to get in and mess around inside but I was very impressed overall with the exterior. The price seemed a little high to me. The one I saw was a FWD Lattitude and it was 24k. I know that isn't outrageous but it was only FWD and it is a Jeep. Also, I really liked how it had 17 inch wheels. They weren't big, weren't small and replacing tires wouldn't be an absolute nightmare. This is the one I saw

Im going to try but I don't have a computer at home..well one that is mine and I use regularly(pathetic right? Who doesn't have their own computer these days?!? Lol). And my work computer doesn't allow much "social media-like things". I'm actually fortunate I can get on this forum because there are a lot that they won't even allow access to the pages. I'm weirdly super excited about this new forum. I think mostly because I don't have to "meet" everybody. There is a good group of guys I already know. That's always kindof awkward on new sites because some people are "post counters" or whatever and you don't get real cred unless you've been around a long time.

Hey! I recognize this name as well! ..I think I'm in one of those groups mentioned..

Hey man! Yeah it's just difficult to find where to even read or post there are so many threads/lounges/however that is suppoed to be worded lol We have a huge software upgrade coming as well. I was initially hoping for it to be ready for end of this month, but the software company is still swashing bugs. This version seems to work pretty well for now, so it isn't a rush, but I have to say I'm excited by what the new software is capable of. Nice! heck, from what us MT guys are used to you don't need to change a single thing.. lol If you want to see bad try out MT for a few minutes, that is all you'll need. Do you know what kind of changes there will be?

Seeming how you're coming from a Avalon is size a requirement as well? I size isn't high on your lift what about either a GTI with the DCT(reated at 34 hwy) or a Focus ST? The ST is rated 32mpg highway. I think both of those could squeeze into your price bracket. I've only heard great things about both of them. A buddy of mine has a '12 GTI and loves it. I've driven it once and it's a really nice and sporty car. Not fast, but enough to play around with.

Hey guys/gals, I'm new to the cheers and gears thing but I've been around a few forums. Until recently I was only on vehicle specific sites(STLMustangs, MBWorld, and FordEscape.org). If you didn't already assume I've owned a mustang(2 actually. 2004 GT and 2003 Mach1), a 2006 MB c350, and currently own a 2013 Escape 2.0 AWD. In there somewhere I owned a 2003 Focus SVT but I was never part of a forum. My first car was a 1995 Chevy Beretta Z26..ans it's still in the fmaily as my brother drives it now. I'm also a member of bobistheoilguy forum and MotorTrend. I was actually invited over here from one of te MT guys. I looked around a bit and figured i'd give it a shot. The MT forum is so jacked it's hard to just have good ole car guy talk without it turning into fanboy vs fanboy. The reason I joined MT(and now here) in the first place because I got a new job back in July and I used to work in a shop, worked with guys, and talked about cars and stuff all day. Now I can't do that as I have an ofice job.. so you're all my car guys now!
