  1. Looks sad......
  2. ribs
  3. Dang, maybe I really need to shop out of my area for Jeeps..... When I was looking with the wife, there were no deals around here to be had. ? It’s funny you mention it, as I checked your area with the Compass as well and got some of the same results...cheaper for them there too. Guess I might have to visit some car friends so I can get a good deal on a Jeep... ? It is interesting, as it’s not hard to find a deal on a Ford or GM product......
  4. Yep, they can still have quite a few trims.....just make it a broad range..... ? True- but I barely ever see a sport trim model...... And it’s still at least a grand just for an auto trans.... ?
  5. Not when the models start near 30k. And they need an affordable Jeep itself to rope both the younger folks and people ready to give it a try .... It’s how you get loyalist.....start them with bare bones but fun model....and watch the fall in love with them... ?
  6. I know a few folks with them who loved them and love to take them off road... That said- the Gladiator is starting to show the major issue with Jeep in general- way overpriced. Jeeps were never meant to be a luxury item, as it started as a everyone’s daily off reader. And they wonder why the diehards are starting to walk away...there is not even an affordable model to get people roped into the Jeep family. All a Jeep is now is a status item, like Ugg boots and a North Face fleece... Sad that you could customize any base truck and still be cheaper then a Jeep.......
  7. Thinking the caddy would be a good idea too... ?
  8. Yep, though maybe I missed the 17 degree day... ? .The only good news is half my fleet get punished by the salt and snow. My “winter beater” Cobalt and the wife’s new Trax. The Nox and the project Cavie are the ones that enjoy a more salt free lifestyle.... ?
  9. True....just makes it tough to wash the poor cars... ? I actually thought we had a cold snap coming, but the lowest I saw I was like 32, with the following week in the mid 40s.....
  10. Well, looks like snow this week.....again. Spring is getting closer though!
  11. And the Trax is quite nimble, as we found out in snow tonight... If the Nox is a keeper, the tires are the first thing I would be ride...the Premiers on there now are great for dry and rain, but suck in snow....
  12. Nice! Gives me hope that our Trax will be a good trip car....
  13. Heck, I’m just hoping for cheaper models for this... I was sold at the front lighting up the way it did.... ? Front looks cool as well......
  14. I hope they can do something with the older ones (like mine) Other than that I keep keep the Nox long term then......
  15. Love the new Caddy! She is a looker in white! I seem to be busy protecting the new rides from stupid people. Someone made a almost 50mph left hand turn and almost wiped out the rear end of the Trax. On Lunch today someone decided to drive across a busy road in their Ram truck and almost took a few cars with it, including my Equinox. Dang scary.... Also love the weather tech type mats that came with my wife’s Trax. So much so I’m using some points to get a set for my Equinox as well..... Quick 1 year review of my Nox-love most everything but the stop start....man i hate that. Should do a write up on it...... ?
  16. Yeah, that was so sad.. ? Not a big basketball fan, but always thought Kobe was a first class guy. Even worse that his daughter was in it as well.
  17. One would think they would have.....
  18. I like the “not jump on it right now” EV move. Grow into it, I say.... Still think there will be a few ICE Subies left, for the diehards....
  19. Must have missed it... One thing that I do like about it is how well it configures together. The different styles tend to suit it very well. Front end is growing on me......
  20. I find myself watching the trailblazer too....
  21. We do too. I used to be diehard GM ( have family/friends at GM) but my tastes have changed over the years. I looked at quite a bit of different stuff before my Equiniox. Timing helped the Equinox, and my wife’s taste (and the deal) won over the wife for the Trax. I will say the Trax is starting to grow on me quick.... ?
  22. I wish I could say diehard GM people.. ? We also looked at the baby Jeep, Ford Ecosport, and the Kia Soul. The Renegade was nice too, but the insurance was nuts-and there were no deals at all. The EcoSport handled well, and was also in the running. (Though the higher trims had cool stuff. ? ) The Soul offered quite a bit too, and the wife liked that too. The killer for the Soul was she struggled to see out the back-a big no no in our neighborhood. The EcoSport offered some good deals too- but the Trax won her over.....
