There is already talk that it was going to hit 4 bucks because of the bad storm season... I heard (haven't seen yet)-that oil took a big jump today... And that oil could hit almost 90 bucks a barrel before the end of July..... Well, there goes the idea for a new car......*sniff*

My wagon is working its way back up...gets 20s in both city and freeway driving... The other Cavalier (03) has dropped to the low to mid 20s for both-but a oil change and a new fuel filter will help....

VR? I remember my friends having those...all quite dependable. You could get 200k if you took just decent care of it... I'd love one as a beater, but most are already junkyard art. If I found one like that-I would garage it drive it like a classic...they are not that far off...

Wow..not too bad. As far as the CUVs...they all over around here... I was sitting at Mickey D's for lunch rush last week, and I think I counted almost 15 in the drive thru in like 40 mins! And at the local dealership, I've noticed a few more Ventures on the used car lot... Impys are everywhere..though it helps that you can lease one for like 219 a month with little down.... Also see a lot of Cobalts, Aveos, G5s, Sliverados, and G6s.....

Update: I'm going with Wix filters..I got an oil filter for each. Also got a Wix fuel filter for her Cavalier. ( I dare not want another Fram one) I think I'm even going to try their air filters, as I plan to go back and pick up a little more stuff... Hopefully the few bucks over the Delco will be well worth it....

Well, that could be true-though it has been on Mobil 1 for over 20k miles now....I didn't think of it that way. It makes me glad that I have this oil in there......

U-vans, yes. Astros, no. My buddy' old 91 was hit by an f-250, then a s-10, and he walked away from the accident.... They hold up well, with the only downside being if they are t-boned on the sliding door..... And I have seen some mangled Astros too...

I just can't see Dell at wal-mart. And it looks like Gateway is in trouble of disappearing all together... Rumor is Best Buy plans to drop them in favor of more HP....

I agree with everyone telling you to just go for it. It worked well for me. I ended up marrying the girl... If you're afraid to put yourself out there-you'll never really know what you can do... If you at least put your cards on the table, you can play your hand from there... If she's understanding, I can't see at least trying. If she does get serious with this guy, then you may lose your chance anyways... Go for it man!

Yep, agree with Sly too... And that's my worry...that the filter isn't doing a good job. Granted the mobil is giving extra protection- but it is not going to help much if the filter isn't that great... I was already wondering about it....and then the Napa filter change on the wagon really opened my eyes on just how different this really was... One thing I know for sure-I will be trying a different oil filter for her car...and I think air filter too.....

In her car, I put Mobil 1 in her Cav after the engine broke in...right at the 12k mark. Her car has 33k on it now...and it's due for an oil change within the next 500 miles or so. I sometimes wish I could let the oil stay longer (which it could), but I don't trust oil filters past 3k.... The first few were a bit darker, though the Eco still runs smooth and almost new with this oil in there. You can tell the difference. THough Mobil offers extra protection (which is important for her car), there is no excuse for it to be dark.....I won't say sludge dark, but dark enough for me...it looks like dino oil stretched to the limit....
