  6. Yes, I am really looking forward to your driving impressions. Also, the C-pillar is quite a C-pillar. Is this thing easy to see out of? Let us know. From looking at the scenery and the look of the houses, that's got to be Northern California.
  7. Good for you! The Carolinas are beautiful.
  8. Exactly. My rule: don't feel comfortable renting a car and driving around, won't go there. In only 2 days in London... Day 1: tried to cross the street in front of Victoria Station, stepped into the roadway after looking the "wrong" way, almost got hit... Day 2: had to get into the airport shuttle, opened the door, ended up staring at the steering wheel... I found the people there incredibly polite, but it was soooo nice to be on a plane heading back to the U.S. Damn, Newark (arrival airport) looked good! Today: Bought my first free lunch, of about 4 that the gift certificate my boss gave me will cover.

  10. Hey, I like all the bay windows in your neighborhood. Nah, mine would have been: Dec 25 - could have taken pictures of my best friend, his wife, their 2 little kids, so not really relevant Dec 26 - could have taken a picture from the top floor of Harrah's (The Forest Buffet) looking out over Lake Tahoe, but didn't Might drive down to SF and take pictures of the skyline/bay on N.Y.'s weekend
  11. No. However, the car from the 50s and 60s that I find the quirkiest is the '59 Impala, notably for its rear taillights.

  15. Nice pictures, Mustang. I miss having my car covered in snow every now and then. Also, that's a cool eclectic "Romanesque - whatever else" building in the background in a brick color more typical of the Midwest than the East. A school or civic building? Me, I just got back from Lake Tahoe this afternoon, instead of this evening. I took advantage of the fact that the pass over the summit was free of snow. So did a lot of other people!

  18. Lighting strikes twice. Just this a.m., I saw one JUST like the photo I posted, except that this one had alloy wheels but had a column shift.

  20. Many Intermountain West cities look just like this ... parts of Denver included. For those of you Easterners who think ALL of the West is great, here's proof it ain't. But the car was nice!

  22. Good, the November thread is still up and I just developed these. SAmadei, I thought of you when I took this. Here's a last-gen Bonneville seen in Reno NV on Veteran's Day (Nov. 11). This is the model I like since it's really clean, except for the cheap wheel covers. I believe this one had a bench seat. I like the buckets. I also prefer a light metallic color. I forgot how ugly and parched Reno is.
  23. Wow, Christmas is about a day away. Getting ready to go home from work in about 1 hour. Tomorrow will be a casual dress day and I'm sure very little will be accomplished. I'm going to a concert at my friend's church in the evening and then to Midnight Mass since it will only be a few hours after that. Except for being invited to Christmas dinner, I have no travel plans. I'm not able to go up north since I didn't buy air tickets far enough in advance. Regardless, all is well. What are people doing over the holidays? Happy holidays!
  24. Happy birthday! Merry Christmas, too!
