  2. Bill's losing his stamina, seen falling asleep at speeches and presentations. And, who knows, that "narcolepsy" could go hand-in-hand with ED. His power was the real elixir for Lewinsky and Company. As of late, he's been a house-husband. I don't think he could get as much as he used to.
  3. Their marriage has always been a "house of cards"......
  4. I think front row seats to Bill and Hillary's fighting would be worth a "chunk of change"....

  6. WTF Look at the title of this thread.... McCain's Trend....for FUN, seriously Let it go, now. The only thing that is certain is now that Hillary is off the campaign trail, she will have more time on her hands to browbeat her husband and kick-start her vibrator. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...............................................

  8. I grew up with a dog - an Australian Shepherd. I'm still a "dog person." There are some cats where I live and all, except one, are skittish. This one grayish-brown tabby is a friendly little $h!. I thought he had an owner but I was told he does not, though people take care of him by feeding him. He comes right up to you and, if you sit down, it jumps into your lap and wants to be pet. He's a smart one, too...if you scratch his belly, he will grab you with both front paws but retracts the claws so he doesn't scratch you. My dog would do that...you'd tug on her tail, she'd take your hand into her mouth, but NOT bite down. Damn, domestic animals are smart. Sometimes, in the evening, if this cat sees me, he follows me and bolts into my front door. He proceeds to climb up onto my couch or the dining table and stretches out and lays there or "marks" furniture or other stuff by rubbing up against it. I think most of us who don't like cats don't like them because of the typical cat's aloof personality. This one acts more like a dog. You like cats? You hate cats? Indifferent?

  12. 1. Borgmeister, you didn't answer my question. 2. I wouldn't stare past Madeira, or even the Azores. 3. What does that Bundes thing you have in your sig mean -- that there are many Irma Bunts living in the town?

  15. Yo, Borg, if my Dad came over from "the Boot," kept his green card until the day he died (thus never becoming a U.S. citizen, though my Mom did acquire U.S. citizenship), does that mean I can get a dual citizenship with Italy, and thus the EU, and move to Portugal should I win the lottery and stare out at the Atlantic Ocean all day? I wouldn't mind doing that...

  18. No. Too skeptical. It's like sending a check or giving a C.C. number to a "black hole" or sending a message in a bottle, though I know that isn't the case. But glad to hear you got a good product. My monthly $ 20 goes to the 24-Hour-Fitness chain and some of the skanky locations it subsidizes. The ones that drive me nuts are the "Hair Club for Men" ones that seem to run all night. Or the famous words said over and over "Call 1-800-xxx-xxxx" or "send $ 19.99 to PO Box xxxx, Atlanta, GA 30308."

  20. Ambien = Godsend I never used to have a problem sleeping. Never. From early May, though, I noticed I felt revved up and didn't fall asleep until 4 am or had a "split sleep" cycle for which the second cycle wanted to extend past my normal waking hour. I mentioned it to the doctor and got Ambien. Fifteen minutes...and it's like a general anesthetic....and you wake up feeling great and alert. The idea is to remove the stressors. That's the best tactic, but not everyone has the ability to do that.
  21. I think you missed the point. Clinton (who I couldn't stand...Slick Willie) was 46 when he took office -- he had a Yale law degree and was the governor of Arkansas for a decent period of time, not to mention initially practicing law and being a politician for a while. Kennedy was even younger at 42 but his career was also routed via law + politics. Palin has a degree in communications from Univ. of Idaho, has been in a major office for 1 . 5 years, and has a kid LESS than a year old that needs a Mom. I'm not saying she's not a bright lady. She is. I am only saying that her experience lacks "critical mass." It's not about superficiality.

  23. We've done religion, height/weight, age, ethnicity...why not this? You can only pick one. However, you can define what you think these concepts mean. I once heard: "When you're younger, if you're not liberal, you don't have a heart. When you're older, if you're not conservative, you don't have a head." Also, this has NOTHING to do with party affiliation. Liberal/conservative does NOT necessarily align itself with political leanings. I picked conservative....you know, a Regal with crank windows and 247,000 miles.
  24. Wow, reading this thread, I'm amazed I agree with you. On the basis of "top of the ticket" candidates, I definitely was for McCain. I think Obama is viewed as a "savior" and some of the people buying into this are fairly intelligent and accomplished, which I think is frightening. The granolafied entrepreneurial telecommuting liberal in the West is the most likely to sport Obama stickers....it kind of goes together, like lesbians in Maine and fleece jackets. There is no "savior" in a presidential candidate...they all have dirt under the rug. Period. OK, so they needed a woman to stabilize McCain's ticket and fetch the Hillary vote, if that was the intent. Couldn't they have found one that was 54 (instead of 44), with a law degree (only because it's typical), 10 years of significant political experience, and kids at least 10 years old? I'm sure they existed.
