  1. I have MANUAL windows in my 1992 Regal coupe. I wanted it that way. (Kind of funny considering it has the buckets/console, gauge package and alloy wheels). Reason I wanted it that way: didn't like paying to repair them in BOTH my previous Cutlass Supremes that had them. In a GM car, everything except that compacts (Cobalt size) and smaller, come with power windows as standard. I'll live.

To Brenda's prodigy and P from Long Island: See, you learn something NEW every day. I now know what a MULE is. If I was out of it or uncool before for NOT knowing, am I at least a LITTLE BIT COOLER now that I know this jargon? :AH-HA_wink: Thanks. Can't wait to see the LaX in 2008 get-up.
  3. Usonia: One more thing.... Given your screen name, are you connected with/interested in architecture or are you a resident of the "prairie style" states in the Midwest? You do know what "usonian" means, right?
  4. Of all the posters, you get the most personal. I can tell you this, though. The Strong Interest Inventory is a pretty darn good predictor used by the school system (h.s. through university or private counseling) for determining compatibility with a line of work or profession. I can also tell you this: I like my "Vitamin Z" given to me by my internal med primary cary physician -- low dosage, that is. I've gone off it...I prefer to stay on it.
  5. It depends. If I am really tired and have been working beaucoup overtime, I have no problem falling asleep...and for the whole night. If I am not that tired and a little anxious, I encounter a split-sleep cycle where I wake up at 3 am and can't fall asleep again, but I usually do at about 5 am. I have a prescription for this stuff called Ativan. It's cheap. I have a bottle with 30 of them. But it takes me a whole year to go through it, fortunately. Being unable to sleep sucks. Sidebar: Have any of you ever slept at some of the nicer hotels where they have those plump killer beds: Heavenly Bed, Sleep Number, Etc. In that case, I have no trouble getting to sleep and all the trouble in the world wanting to crawl out of bed.

I know. But look at how boring (relatively speaking) that one is...it looks like the more basic models. And, isn't LaCrosse/Allure supposed to get an all new grille (which is a drastic improvement and makes the car more youthful and competitive against its "enemies") as shown on other threads? If that's the case, when is THAT supposed to happen?
  7. The part that gets to me is how oblivious they are to having all those people around when they are in a quest for food. I guess it shows how fearless they are. Good thing he was "dispersed into the wild" by Mama Bear. None of this would have been very pretty had she been around.

  9. The ones at work function fairly well, except when they are out of paper and you send something from your desk. Now, at home, that's a different story. I have an HP 6110 All In One which I love. However, when I send something to print, about 25% of the time, it does nothing, shows that it's printing, essentially hangs up the printer (though not the computer) and I have to reboot and try to print again. I have no idea what conditions cause this to happen. I was on the phone with HP during the 1 year warranty period a time or two, but to no avail. Still, it's a great product (print/copy/scan/FAX) for $ 250 or so.

That's not a 2008. That's probably just a 2007 with some masking. Those 2 photos reinforce what I think about the car: Great side profile Great rear end Bad front grille You won't be catching many younger buyers with such a grille. Oh well.
  11. That's a riot. He looks like a big dog that couldn't hurt you. But those aren't waters I'd want to test! I don't think this would happen at South Lake Tahoe or Incline Village where the population density is a little high...and there are more than a few Starbucks, but way up on Kingsbury Grade, it's a definite possibility. In fact, if one approaches the lake from Carson City on US 50, there's a road sign with the bear graphics (much like the Cali flag) and the words BEAR XING. Now, coming up from the California side, on 50 or 80, there is no such sign. I would have loved to have seen that occurrence in person. Too funny.
  12. Why is it that ANY thread having ANYTHING to do with ocnblu within a matter of 15 posts gets dragged into the mud? Some things are so predictable.
  13. Who'll pitch and who'll catch, Reg? I'm afraid to ask.
  14. Very true....this will be the last cycle of anything for this car (tune ups, tires, struts, etc.)
