LAIAS: 2009 Chevrolet Aveo5
i am certain if the people's socialist republic of california could, they would attempt to legislate to get rid of your diesels too, or make them cost prohibitive, just like here.

2008 Saturn Astra XR
- The Official MPG Thread
coworker says 30-31 mpg for an 08 saturn aura 4 cyl XE 4 sp auto.- LAIAS: 2009 Chevrolet Aveo5
Jesus Christ people, we're talking about an 11/12 k car here. Fits are 5 grand more. BTW, FIt has no power. Light or not, 105 hp doesn't cut it no matter how much you stand on the gas. Cut the Aveo some slack now. Its got a tidy interior in leatherette and is affordable and they seem to have fixed the mpg issue. And the yaris still looks like crap in many ways.- Drove an HHR SS Last Weekend
good luck. red would be the color i want too. the info for me on the armrest is comforting. i also like you see the value in the big rebates. a lot of car for the money at that price.- ANAL BLEACHING

HE, i do have that single cab flex truck chop somewhere. I just need to dig it up.- The Official MPG Thread
OK, NOW I TAKE ISSUE WITH THAT work buddy yesterday told me his element is only netting 22 mpg. nice box. My 500 is at 21.6 the last few tanks. so much for honda economy- 09 TSX steering a 'DEAL BREAKER'
sometimes he is dead on. sometimes he is wayyyyy off. and sometimes he gets fixated on really dumb stuff. but a few cars i am pretty familiar with, the astra, the taurus, the flex, his review was fairly close to some things i felt about those vehicles. i've noticed too about a lot of his other reviews he does seem to echo a lot of what i think when i test drive something.- ANAL BLEACHING
does it work? i see you can get some free t shirts!- ANAL BLEACHING
blame lightninggal do you happen to know anything about this procedure? ?- ANAL BLEACHING
no. its a big trend. is it right? wrong? safe?- Chevrolet HHR Pickup?
all cool trucks! there is actually a better flex chop out there, i gotta find it- ANAL BLEACHING
inspired by the mercury thread...... discuss.......- GM reduces length of 2009 Saab warranty
VW is cutting warranty also. you gotta wonder if TURBO has something to do with it. in exchange though, free scheduled maintenance.- NYC mulls ban on trans fats in eateries
using that logic, it justifies the action to be taken on a federal level, not the commie nazi state antics that california is typically up to. the 'we're so cool because we banned it first' mentality.- NYC mulls ban on trans fats in eateries
well, ban smoking and drinking then too. this should be a federal issue.- NYC mulls ban on trans fats in eateries
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25853307/ Again, Calfornia thinking they need to legislate everything themselves....legislating society again.....- Insignia will come to U.S. as a Saturn, with new sheetmetal, interior
the part that is a nice little capsule example of typical GM. the insignia is a beautiful car inside and out, has cutting edge powertrains and stuff, and the f-ckheads in detroit see/saw no urgency or need in having this product in north america. they see no clue how the insignia if joe customer could in november say, walk into a saturn showroom and have that car available to cross shop vs. a camry or accord, they have no clue how that would help. cost, f-ck cost. if they can't figure out how to bring a design and feature set like this to north america for a competitive price, on time, and properly marketed, then they all should be cast out on their f-cking asses looking for new work like half the rest of the outsourced USA. same goes for chinese park avenue, astra with an armrest and mp3 jack and decent motor and maybe a sedan or wagon, g8 with more v6 gusto and a 6 speed, STS with chinese interior, g8 wagon, corsa, beat, hybrids, new flagship caddies, trunk space on a kappa, on and on and on.- The Official MPG Thread
fueleconomy.gov shows great user mpg on turbo passats. I test drove an 08 manual turbo yesterday. nice car..creepy interior though. good mpg is nice to know. for the record, i like the 9-3 a bit more than the passat because of the creepy interior. jetta has a nicer interior.- Officially a stockholder
oy! sharebuilder? I need to check that out. i want some ford stock too.- Insignia will come to U.S. as a Saturn, with new sheetmetal, interior
easy fix for the G8 model line sales...... same v6 and tranny engine combos as the upcoming camaro. tune it for a bit better mpg than the camaro if possible. current v6 powertrain needs refinement as the 5 speed sucks. 300hp di and 6 speeds will make the G8 AWESOME. then the press won't dwell on the cliche of v8 fuel suckers. G8 is one of the most beautiful cars available. They need to get the powertrains right for the times. fixing the v6 will do the trick because not everyone will pay the $$$$ for the v8.- Jetta TDI to get $1300 tax credit
ok, the tdi with DSG acceleration......at most speeds not bad. you gotta lay into the pedal......but its fairly responsive. the car needs a boost of throttle at higher speeds to keep from being slowed down by the wind. turbo and tranny kick down could stand to be faster. drive the turbo after and you'll think the TDI is lacking. do not drive the turbo and you'll think the power is just fine for most commuting. engine for a diesel is quiet and fairly smooth but to be honest its not velvety in comparison to lots of other 4 and 6 cylinders today. and there is some mechanical noise that is not isolated out from the engine. its not much, but like i said compared with the turbo its noticeable. ride, handling, all good. the jetta rides more solid to me than the undertired base passat i drove too. the jetta feels like a well planted mid size sedan on the road. the interior is well laid out and there is good space. i don't get the DSG. its a little funky at first. then you understand the shift feel. what i don't get.....i had it in sport mode and it was still upshifting for me. WTF? I want to shift it myself! the price was great. the mission of this car is great fuel economy as an alternative to the strange prius. in this regard the tdi is a very good commuter and blows away the prius in classiness. i would advise to pay attention to the diesel and really try to understand if you are comfortable with it. it was more responsive than many economy 4 cyl cars. However, the DIC only registered 32.5 when i was driving it and to be honest, i would need another 10 mpg before i consider it worth it. I am glad i can check the TDI off my list, however, the Jetta Sportwagen with BAMR in the showroom really hooked me. What a nice package that is and you can get a TDI sportwagen if you want. Jetta is a nice car. Sterile and bland inside but German feeling all the way. I cannot blame anyone for liking this car. Its pretty cool. The BAMR by itself may just be enough to hook me.- Jetta TDI to get $1300 tax credit
test drove a TDI over lunch, will update later. Nice commuter, but if you drive the turbo after, you won't want the diesel. - The Official MPG Thread
