  1. lesbians still like their subarus though
  2. the altimas plastic is an improvement but its door and seat fabric is nasty bad. plus, its all very monotone dreadful and dreary. this ain't 1994 anymore. the nissans do well in test numbers lately due to the CVT, but that is wide open droning engine testing. In this test I would have expected the CVT to help mileage more than it did. the altima reminds me of the last gen bonneville in terms of style. somewhat overdone and gaudy. they certainly could have waited with this test to get the 6 speed on the bu. GM needs to go on a huge camry offensive. kick toyota in the nuts. recognize that honda is still a good product that the honda faithful will not really depart from. but i think they can really build off the mo and start to eat at the camry. those of you who have seen the 09 sonata's interior (which, yeah why did they let them test an 09?) will have to comment. That is one nasty looking center stack.
  3. G6 coupe is nicer to look at than both.
  4. we sure are optimists? ford and chrysler could be damn close. it does matter. they shut down then the foreign companies gobble up the market share and assets and that is one more industry we do not compete in. yet we blow all this money as consumers and our companies being shut down means mailing our incomes over to other countries. our country's products need to be legit, and people should reward good products, however, the problem is that no one is even considering maintaining the health of AMerican based companies. They think it has no factor on the world stage.
  5. fusion gets new just about everything in 09. they liked the chevy but for some reason went altima at number 2. i will have to go back and reread. their praise for the honda was consistent with their track record and was filled with man love about the car just like their man love for the 3 series. truth be told, i would at least test drive the accord, but the interior and exterior styling drive me away from the car big time. Honda blew it with styling on this car. Now with the C/D test pretty much everyone has compared the midsizers. The Malibu has done well, now lets see whether folks actually buy the car.
  6. well, bless the fact that you are still part of our culture. Heal up and tell us about it when you are feeling ok. Sorry to hear of this and let's all hope and pray for a good recovery.
  7. not complaining, actually. reporting. no worries. 010 taurus will kill all these cars.
  8. tahoe is a truck. a real truck. that uses a frame.
  9. i am not seeing any Hummer design language or 'brand DNA' in its interiors.........
  10. done. and i am WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. nope. 888 is MINE!!!!!!!!!!
  12. i like that we are getting this, but it is illogical we don't get the wagon also then. it can be argued that the wagon would have more sales potential. but i guess the ST is a truck, and can help GM's cafe in that area. I welcome the truck, and refuse to believe the sportwagon is dead. I wonder if my neighbor will trade his SSR for one of these.
  13. if hyundai remains in business and ford goes out of business who does it benefit more? if toyota remains in business and GM goes out of business, who does it benefit more?
  14. 0-60/5-60/quartermile/mpg 7. Avenger 9.0/9.3/16.8/26 6. Fusion 9.5/10.1/17.3/24 5. Camry 8.9/8.8/17.0/26 4. Sonata 8.8/9.0/16.8/25 3. Malibu 8.7/9.1/16.7/24 2. Altima 7.8/7.9/16.2/23 1. Accord 8.2/8.7/16.4/25 no mazda6, no legacy, no passat, no galant, no aura, where are all the competition?
  15. third. 4 cylinder automatics (as tested price listed) 7. Avenger SXT - 20,195 6. Fusion SEL - 26,945 (note Fusion gets new engine for 09) 5. Camry LE - 23,883 4. Sonata Limited - 24,485 (must be an 09, it has a new interior) 3. Malibu LT - 21,905 2. Altima 2.5S 23,665 (despite some drivers hating the CVT) 1. who else? - 24,495
  16. car and driver got 19 mpg. what a midsize car gets. but they jump in the piling on bit to say WTF? they increased their tahoe test mileage from 12 to 19 and it's NOT something to write home about? 50% better mileage? WTF? on the mercedes GL which has gotten them like 21 mpg well no f-king $h!, dumbasses, we JUST got clean diesel, and diesel is NOT CHEAP, either for the engine or the fuel. Plus, the left coasters keep raising the emissisons so no fricking diesel will pass without adding a bunch of expensive crap on the car. (your blessed mercedes JUST GOT THE BLUETEC!!!) AND we've had E85 and have had diesel in our pickups and just NOW you discover diesel? What a bunch of dumbasses. And like GM doesn't have a new diesel in the works? They say it saves 300 gallons a year. 5 year payback (did they factor in the extra equipment in the hybrid)? On one test loop that averaged 43 mph, they got 23 mpg with the tahoe hybrid compared to 18 for a similar yukon. People, 23 mpg for a vehicle like this is VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its ok for a WRX to get 17? but 19 is not good for a tahoe?
  17. secede then start your own country and drive your 40 teslas.
  18. show me the difference between the smoothness of your single overhead cam and the sheer thrusting of your pushrods
  19. who's economy gets the greatest gain, short term and long.
  20. another reason why CAFE is discrminatory and why adopting CA's bullying agenda on their emissions BS makes no sense. If i cannot buy a hybrid in a cold climate area and get the same mileage somebody gets in the southern states.......I should not be forced to have my only choices be smaller vehicles that are around only to satisfy CAFE if my vehicle is in a climate where i have no chance of getting advertised mpg. Likewise, I should not be forced to drive something designed to meet unreasonable CA regs if because of weather i have no chance of meeting them anyways. If that forces me from my Malibu into an Aveo because of it, than that is bull$h!.
  21. it's so sweet.....I have a stalker........
  22. i think the new IS has been killing some of Acura's business
  23. 50% efficiency if used in town which is where most Prius were tested by the press for the gaudy mpg numbers
