  1. Yea, forget about the range. The real factor here is that Toyota is going to get their prius to market way before the volt ever makes it and probably for a much more competitive price. And its funny that they're not even talking the plug-in prius up as GM has been touting its volt.
  2. This seems like a pretty inspiring concept. I think the gullwing doors really work well and should be tuned for production. They not only look cool but it deinfetly makes getting into a 2 by 2 seat coupe a lot easier.
  3. Just turn saturn into opel. Thats stunning, i guess every GM brand needs their zeta coupe (hopefully caddy next). I like this one a lot, its the most modern. It reminds me of the new nissan skyline but I prefer this to that anyday.
  4. Ok, the Corvette drama was rediculous. As for this, I'm sure we all saw it coming. It was definetly a great ad though.
  5. I like it. Its a pretty nice, modern design. I just hope the lutz-bland treatment doesn't give it the same fate as the quickly forgotten cobalt. I'd still prefer the aura to this just because it hink its sharper.
  6. The funny thing is that I saw a LaCrosse in the street that looked exactly like that except I honestly think that the wheels were a bit bigger.
  7. Hey, if you've actually seen one of these things in person, it really is a very stylish car and all those glaring design screwups that seem aparent from these images are completely absent on the actual vehicle seen in person. That was my impression of it. It's just a very sporty jeep.
  8. Customizing the lucerne in that way gives it the appearance of being more sporty. On the other hand, sporty is not a charactersitic that can be associated with that car and these versions may just mess with people's impressions of the car that its refined and elegant. (not sporty) My impression of the lucernce is that they're going mroe for refined lucury lexus rather than ultimate driving machine bmw. Plus the car is outdated underneath the skin and that cleary shows and gives the impression that your buying the car for its luxurious ameneties rather than for its on-road performance.
  9. Why is this news soo significant???? Every car company, including GM, has had demonstrator fuel-cell vehicles. GM has already built a spearate one a while ago. The technology behind fuel-cell vehicles is still incredibly far from making it mainstream. Infact, its not even that easy to produce them as a niche product because the technology is far from proven and the hydrogen fuel isn't exactly easy to come by. Not to mention it would cost at least in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy. I just wish GM invested its millions into building a real hybrid engine instead of this public relations vehicle.
  10. That color goes well with the nitro too. This car is pretty unique, it really can't do bad as a sportier ford escape type suv. It may even compete greatly with the H3.
  11. GM's response was great but the original editorial really wan't that bad or very wrong for its critisism of GMs leadership. GM is still overall a struggling company. Its current leadership have been turning GM around but only at a very slow pace and the future is still not garaunteed for them. Is it that wrong for this paper to be demanding better and faster results from GM? Does the greater compeition analogy really hold up at a point where toyota is fast becoming the US's and world's biggest automaker? We'll see...
  12. Are you sure Renault and PSA are the same company? Wait, they're not at all. Oh, i see what you wrote at the top but then what was the point of putting peugot and citroen on this list? If anything they probably make for Renaults greatest competitor.
  13. Giving Opel a channel through Saturn in the US market is a no brainer. Their deisgns have exactly what it takes to succeed in the US.
  14. Im always very bullish of chrysler designs and they never photograph too well. Wait to see the real thing, i have a feeling this will be another hit for them, theyve been workign on it for a long time. Just think of the 300 and how soo many people critized it at first...

    BLS a bust?

I was recently in france and i did manage to see a few CTSs and even an STS. Truthfully, i dont see why those cars don't have a real chance at thriving in the european market. Theyre stylish and well built and at the luxury range, theyre not as susceptible to anti-american sentiment at all. As for the BLS, it needed to be more of a niche design to have succeeded as a cadillac in europe. Maybe a cool coupe would have done better.
  16. They absolutely need to produce it. It was just too terrific of a design to let go.
  17. Im sure he'd want to stick around for when he really will put GM in bankruptcy.
