  1. its a shame the new malibu is not going to be big as the Oldsmobile Intrigue or even Saturn Aura.
  2. I like the car it needs to bigger than current car including the Regal to small for me. The rebuilt 4 cylinder engine would be good enough when including turbo and GS version. look at the Asian cars in class all bigger than Malibu and Regal.
  3. Is the new Malibu going to be shown at the New York auto show in a month.
  4. This is a really good sedan. I believe GM will bring a rear wheel drive car to market soon enough.
  5. I had a Monte Carlo SS great car gave no trouble at all.
  6. wind power is is to say the least breezy; not a good power source the Europenas are finding this out who have tried to develop wind energy to me its just liek corn ethanol in that its the new "eco" thing to do. Some of the biomass algae etc... are the way to go . Coal to oil, natural gas to oil this is where its at and will contiue to be where its at.
  7. Wond Power don't think so not bya long shot. First we have no way to store the energy from it right now Second wind energy is non dependable the wind well not sustainable energy consistent wise. We have to string the wire from the windfarms to people that will cost money alot of it. Europeans are finding this out and getting away from it. > for the truth about Global Warming go to [ Icecaps.us ]
  8. Leaked World Bank Report AFP Biofuels have caused world food prices to increase by 75 percent, according to the findings of an unpublished World Bank report published in The Guardian newspaper on Friday. The daily said the report was finished in April but was not published to avoid embarrassing the US government, which has claimed plant-derived fuels have pushed up prices by only three percent. Biofuels, which supporters claim are a “greener” alternative to using fossil fuel and cut greenhouse gas emissions, and rising food prices will be on the agenda when G8 leaders meet in Japan next week for their annual summit. The report’s author, a senior World Bank economist, assessed that contrary to claims by US President George W. Bush, increased demand from India and China has not been the cause of rising food prices. “Rapid income growth in developing countries has not led to large increases in global grain consumption and was not a major factor responsible for the large price increases,” the report said. Droughts in Australia have also not had a significant impact, it added. Instead, European and US drives for greater use of biofuels has had the biggest effect. “The basket of food prices examined in the study rose by 140 percent between 2002 and this February,” The Guardian said. “The report estimates that higher energy and fertiliser prices accounted for an increase of only 15 percent, while biofuels have been responsible for a 75 percent jump over that period.” Read more As the recent and tragic flood in the Midwest shows we cannot put our fuel needs to be exposed to something like the weather. There are better alternatives than Corn it needs to be a FOOD Source only. We can all join and pray for these Family's lives as they procedd out of this flood.
  9. I read where this guy said that with the Billions of dollars going into this that coupled with Nano-technlogy within five years it would be same price of oil/gas then went onto say withingn 20 years he pedicted we would be getting most of our energy from Solar.
  10. I belive the real breakthrough will be in SOLAR Pannel tech it will be the way and sooner than we think, BTW: lets drill for more oil and mine our coal.
  11. NO !!! IF we devoted the whole corn crop to Ethanol it would acount for 18% of our fuel supply; Ethanol is a FOOLS Errand. Algae is the way to go We have plent y of Oil if we would just use it and Explore for it. We have have enough COAL in the US to last us 200 hundred years. Does that sound enough of eve=nergy to get us int the newer so speak fuels I think so.
  12. I am thinking of buying a used 05 Cadillac CTS with Lux & Sports package what is the difference in the ride and handling with it compared to base model I have driven several of the base models but none with Sports package. I want it sporty but to still ride good. stillen
  13. OH so we are supposed to get used to it and bend over for it again. Not gonna happpen corn ethanol is plain stupid now some of the bio fuels coming out make sense in alot of ways. We get screwed form either side but more from the left the Eternal politician needs to go fast
