GM Crash Test Video from 1968
I don't think it would t make a difference either way, since regardless of how they were built, I'm willing to bet money they didn't do a good job absorbing the energy and controlling passenger movement. Of course they did do a good job at keeping themselves intact.

Has C&G been down?
We're aware of the issue and are trying to get t the bottom of it so it stops happening. Sorry guys. C&G has the worst luck of any forum on the internet it seems. Maybe its a curse?

GM Crash Test Video from 1968
Yep, I couldn't help but laugh at the footage either. Maybe "Let the bodies hit the floor" should play during the clip.

GM Crash Test Video from 1968
But I thought that because they were old, RWD, BOF, and weighed 5 tons that they were safer than everything made today?

Getting close to purchasing a newer car
The LS is a fine car if cared for. Timeless exterior and elegant interior. From what I remember the interior's only real shortcoming was extreme lack of storage. The center console was tiny and the lid felt like it was going to break off. Overall nice cars though.

Craigslist finds
The Newport is quite nice. As far as GM goes, off teh top of my head I like the `71 era Sedan Deville and the early to mid 70's Electras like this one:

Not my cup of tea then, but then I'm not a Corvette guy.

Hey, Z
Wow, 16k...I don't know my Corvettes but that seems steep...especially since I see more of this generation on the road than I do the last 3 generations.

Buy, sell, keep or trade?
The claimed low demand is what killed the regular cab. I'm more of an extended/crew cab person myself. I prefer the look (and the added usability). Although I will say I like the older (early 80's and older) Chevy pickups as regular cab/long beds.

Buy, sell, keep or trade?
Not really better per say, the LH has sleek, elegant styling and a nicer interior. I can try to own both a 300M and a Charger (in addition to what we've already got. Since Jessica loves the Charger and the 300M, I'm sure I could persuade her for both in due time.

I already congratulated him when he told me he was picking up a G8 in addition to the Solstice.

Buy, sell, keep or trade?
I never got why they didn't just take the Sport Trac, and expand it with various bed and cab configurations. The 2nd gen is a nice truck, although I don't see many of them. I've always had a thing for the last gen Dakotas in extended or crew cab 4x4 configuration.

Model Kits
Speaking of Japanese, its ironic that the Japanese kit releases from companies like Hasegawa of aircraft like the B-17 are better quality than those made by Revell.
