  1. Quoted for agreement.
  2. That would almost pay for half of the company right there.. But then you've got restructuring which costs money.Oh snap, I just got an allusion to Iraq. Daimler-Benz is Sadaam Hussein and GM looks like it's ready to be the US in this battle. Let's just hope Chrysler accepts GM instead of fighting back...
  3. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.Oh wait, you actually like it here?!
  4. Well you.. you... (Satty I need some help). haha You're not a part of this!It looks classy I guess, yeah. But I don't see how people would buy this over the Cadillac, Mercedes, or BMW equivalent...
  5. I doubt many people are thinking the same way I am...
  6. You drive a Millenia.
  7. You'll see. I've deleted some brands, deleted a lot(!!!!!!) of vehicles, and mixed the entire lineup like you might not expect. You'll see. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Oh snap! (sorry, just had to. haha)
  9. I couldn't agree with that more. That's why I'm working on a report right now with everything listed the way I would turn Chrysler and GM into a single company. The main things to do are take the best platforms/drivetrains/plants, scrap/sell the rest, redesign vehicles that need a redesign most, and finally eliminate overlap. Easier said than done, but GM could do it.

    Uggg...

Satty.. seriously.. I can't read your posts while at work. I'm seriously sitting here laughing my ass off at your posts.
  11. That's why I like you, Satty. You're like a laxative. Things start getting tense and you come in and loosen it all up with an outcome that's different everytime...
  12. It's becoming the same for even blue-collar jobs. Many manufacturing positions are only open to those with degrees here. My dad's been in the profession for almost 25 years now and can't find another job because he never got a degree for it. Why should you need a degree to run some presses, especially with as much experience as many of these people have?
  13. How could you possibly be dissappointed in how the Z06 looks compared to the regular C6? It looks much better and more aggressive than the base C6 models. Also, why would this StingRay model have completely different body panels across the entire surface of the car? It's still a Corvette! Why would they make this supercar Corvette look like something it isn't? There's no reason to redesign every body panel on this car to make it look more aggressive because no matter what it's still a C6 Corvette, but one with a hot ass engine and an amazing suspension and brake package. And nobody can say the Corvette isn't the least bit classy, flashy, attractive, sporty, or worth the money paid to buy one inside and out once 2008 hits...

    Pipes

FWIW, bigger pipes are always better for sound and flow. Better flow equals better performance and efficiency. However, the engine needs to get a certain amount of backpressure or it won't run properly. So, therefore, if you go too big it's not good for your vehicle. For a better sounding exhaust, I'd open her up to 2.5" all the way back. I would only reccommend 3" to higher performance vehicles. I know of a lot of LS1/LT1 Camaro owners going to 3", but almost all of the 3.8L owners go to 2.5" because of the size and output of the engines.
  15. And you can't go wrong with a car that has dent-resistant body panels!
  16. Hemi power, eh?
  17. Hey! That happened on my birthday, too! The faucet wasn't facing me intentionally, but it did spray me in the face...Happy Birthday, sir!
  18. I'm excited to see a few movies too, but this one isn't on the list.. Upcoming: Reno 911, Black Snake Moan, Hogs When it comes out on DVD: Norbit, The Number 23 EDIT: I forgot to add Breach
  19. I just don't get it. Any person could've predicted this is what these vehicles would look like. They're bland and the bodies could've been carved with two slices out of a bar of soap. What is original or sexy about this? I'm lost.
  20. Ahh gotcha. Bad feelings dismissed.
  21. I think you just see it that way, dodgefan. I see just as much negativity toward Ford as Chrysler. However, it's two different cases. Ford is an 80 year old man trying to fit in with teens while his relatives are searching for a casket, and Chrysler's the red-headed stepchild that nobody wants to adopt. Unfortunately, that right there is 2/3 of our American Big Three.
  22. I could call you out on a few of your points, but that's not what I'm here in this thread to do. However, this point is a stretch. Wasn't it Bob Lutz that put the PT into production? Then Bob Lutz that OK'd the HHR? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  23. Even the mention of it, as above, made me laugh out loud.
  24. Very good article.
  25. One more thing, Lutz served his time at Chrysler from 1986 until 1998, when Daimler took over. Would make him feel right at home if this happened, now wouldn't it? Irony?
