  1. I absolutely agree with 100% of the above. Only thing, is that Chrysler could be far better for GM, if done right, than you've described above. Of course, your description only depicts the current situation, but look 10 years into the future and Chrysler could easily be flourishing again and jointly a part of GM rather than GM taking and using them (*cough* Mercedes) just for a few years. In ten years, Chrysler fell from what it was in '97, a company with an ambitious future, to what it is today. So many people would be upset if Chrysler pulled a Titanic, and I'm sure there would be many upset if GM bought Chrysler. All I'm saying is that GM and Chrysler could benefit in the long run by GM just saying yes and signing the check.
  2. Intrepid Concorde/LHS 300M Bonneville You guys listed these and I had forgotten about them. Good choices. I wouldn't recommend a Neon unless it was a temporary car for just the winter or something.
  3. I agree with everything you said, Fly. However, remember that this point (quoted above) is hypothetical. Chrysler's losing marketshare and so is GM. While GM would temporarily gain all of Chrysler's marketshare at the time of purchase, it's up to GM and quite a few years to depict whether or not that marketshare was worth it.GM would need to make a complete restructuring of both companies, including restructuring and rethinking everything it's restructured in the last 5 years. Sure, you or I could sit down (which I am) and think out the ideal GM-Chrysler lineup, but when you throw it in front of financial analysts and engineers, the time, money, and planning grow exponentially. However, I'm all for that..
  4. Well, what do you expect of a GM forum? I really don't see everybody being anti-Chrysler. Most of the "attacks" are saying that Chrysler isn't worth GM's money. I'm saying the opposite and thinking Chrysler might be viable for GM to buy, but who really knows what would happen if it worked out? Either way, we'll just have to wait and see.
  5. My Camaro had an "SGS" (Second Gear Start) switch in it, along with traction control programmed into the ECM (all 3.8 A4s had this).
  6. Oh yeah, why not an Alero, Aurora, Century..?
  7. I would NEVER badge a Chrysler as a Cadillac. Neat ideas that you had, but these would almost be like the Cateras...
  8. I've been working on my own line-up if GM and Chrysler were to merge over the last few days. It's going to be more complex than you guys may guess, so look for it in the next week or so... I'm trying to space everything out as well as I can to keep people happy, overlap minimal, and costs low.
  9. I'd say last generation Grand Prix or Impala..
  10. Ahh, maybe I should learn to read directions before doing stuff..? haha Fly, can we mend the rules? If not, I'll withdraw my entry.
  11. GM uses XM. Chrysler uses Sirius. Ironic?
  12. Wow. I was thinking pricing would start below the Cobalt/G5 based on its interior...
  13. I love that orange color..

First I thought this was for the fraternity.. Anyway, nope, not a member. Maybe one day..
  15. When does the rumor state that the SRX will end production?
  16. Yessir! :AH-HA_wink:Anyway, good luck getting everything done. I've got a terrible migraine right now.
  17. Bland, predictable design. Cluttered IP.
  18. Not what I was hoping for, but I'm entering.
  19. The CTS wagon won't take over for SRX. They're completely different vehicles.
  20. Nope, I'm out of work. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. Mines kind of pink in color, medium complexion. I also go tanning every once in awhile. Weird question..
  22. Hey guys, I'm working on a list of every Chrysler and GM vehicle sold in the US. I'm including multiple trims, all MSRPs, and engines (with HP and MPG where available). I'm getting all my information from a single source at Yahoo! Autos, so it will be a semi-accurate collection of all the vehicles. When I'm done doing this, I'm going to take all the cars and engines, and give you guys a list of what I feel is best for a hypothetical GM-Chrysler merger. After thinking about this all morning, I feel that a merger between the two might be beneficial to both parties, though more for Chrysler than GM. I already know this will be controversial, so this is a heads up. If you guys would like the original lists, I'll go ahead and post them in the Lounge for you. I won't be done with my updated line-up for a little while though, so just let me know... Damn, can you tell how bored I am?
  23. ha Yeah, you're right, the grille is still messed up. I'll fix that tonight when I get home.. I was rushing to finish last night and it was pretty late for me because I was dead..
