Final answer here is a Challenger R/T or SRT8, but most likely the latter.

*cough, cough* "We are completely behind Saturn."

Welcome to Choppin' Competition #49! Everyday we hear something new and disappointing from GM. It's now been stated that Saturn is getting cut while Pontiac is just a "niche brand" that will most likely cease to exist by 2012. What this means is no more Kappa twins, no more Kappa II, and absolutely no chance of small RWD Pontiacs. Well guess what... today is your day to make that little RWD car a Chevrolet! The Alpha platform will be the base to the upcoming small Cadillac. However, this car should share its chassis with another car to keep cost down, and what better brand than Chevy to host it? This car must be small with RWD proportions and may be a coupe, sedan, or roadster... the choice is yours! (See the Holden Torana TT36 Concept -- shown above -- for an example of a vehicle that is the size of the upcoming Alpha cars.) You may use anything as your base image as long as the end result is a small Chevrolet! Some Picture Sources... -Serious Wheels -Net Car Show -http://gm.wieck.com/forms/gm/*query?9-3&Source=all'>http://gm.wieck.com/forms/gm/*query?9-3&Source=all ^^High-Res GM Media imagery (Copy/paste URL into browser to access)^^ Size guidelines remain at 800x600, so please size your entry accordingly. Please do not submit your images as Bitmap (.bmp) files. Deadline is Sunday, February 8th @ 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time. (date to be extended if necessary) Good luck and have fun! *Instructions for accessing high-resolution images through AutoDeadline: Replace the bold, blue section of the URL... Replacing 'silverado' with 'lesabre' will bring up downloadable hi-res images of the Buick LeSabre. Copy into your browser and hit enter.

Welcome to Sketch Competition #28! Times are changing, and GM is on a diet and shrinking fast. Three brands have been eliminated, and Pontiac seems to have found a dead end road being named a "niche brand" and only possessing mostly pathetic excuses for Pontiacs. Only one of these cars is available as RWD with a V8. The others are badge engineered junk from Chevrolet and Toyota. Let's make today both Pontiac's day and yours and create a real Pontiac. A niche car for a niche brand. Please design the best Pontiac in years in terms of design and powertrain. Be it a Trans Am, Firehawk, GTO, Banshee, Bonneville, or Solstice make sure this niche model has the ultimate sex appeal to sell out the vehicle's small volume within only a couple of months. Make this car has that "gotta have" desire to everybody, not just some. Make it a Pontiac. Pontiac isn't "car" -- Pontiac is much, much more. Now is your time to prove it. Please include at minimum 2 (two) of the following: *3/4 Front View *3/4 Rear View *Interior View **Entries without two perspectives will still be accepted, but will incur a 2-point penalty at the end of voting** Remember, people will be voting based on the overall presentation of your entry, so the more views the better, including ones not specifically listed above. Please adhere to the 800x600 guidelines. Deadline is Sunday, February 8th @ 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time. (this may get extended due to number of entries) Good luck!

Nomad on Alpha. I highly doubt a Kappa II platform will exist. I repeat, Nomad on Alpha.

C7 begins production in 2014.

I completely forgot about student versions of Windows. I can't wait 'til Kettering gets a free copy of Windows 7 out to us!
-
haha (not my final bet but I just thought of a good one...) Pontiac Vibe. You know.. it's like "supporting GM" by putting money in Toyota's pocket!

Well, did a quick search and according to LLN and GMI, Kappa II was shelved although nothing was made official from GM: http://www.leftlanenews.com/gm-reportedly-...orm-the-ax.html Also, a Wikipedia page on Alpha shows its supposed size constraints and says it could support Kappa vehicles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Alpha_platform
-
Alpha Cadillac sure as hell is still on. Camaro replacement on Alpha though, I have no idea.
-
With a Kappa II platform possibly still in the works, sounds like the perfect case for a Chevrolet Kappa, eh?
-
You didn't say it had to be new, did ya? But then again, if it has to be new, you can't really argue with 540 HP:
-
Wow, didn't see that coming this morning. It's strange to see Saturn get eliminated as I see it positioned as the American Opel, but whatever. Hopefully this will help though with the way they've been focusing design and R&D efforts on Chevy, Buick, and Cadillac.
-
Didn't even know they had those. Pretty sweet idea though, really. My dad's probably going to get one of these sometime later this year...
-
On second thought, it sounds and looks amazing by previews, but it expires 8/1/09. I'll keep the XP for now and try to figure out how to get Vista back on here without a CD...
-
I had Vista on this laptop when I originally got it, then I put XP on it but I want to try Vista again. Looks like this is my alternative! I'll try it later.

Ford Flex Ecoboost - 3.5L 350hp
NOS2006 replied to Z-06's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)
But regardless. Why take this over a V8 when it gets less power and comparable MPG? Okay, it's exclusive, but really. I thought the point of FI on a smaller engine was better gas mileage and the same power as larger engines. I guess not... -
Wow I'm dumb. I've just been lusting over the new 370z too much lately.
