That's an automatic disqualification in my rule book.

I went from a ‘64 Catalina (120" WB), to a ‘65 Bonneville (124" WB), to an F-150 (133" WB) to a 2500HD (153" WB).

There is no tesla roadster, Musk shot it into space, remember?
-
Tesla outpulled a 2WD F-150 with a rolling start. But you forget there is a 250, 350 (& more) above the F-150 that could out tow 2 Teslas daisy-chained together. I know the Ram tows up to 35,000, or going on triple what Tesla claims; Ford is in that neighborhood without a doubt. But the Tesla is marketed as a pickup, not an SUV. Silverado 1500 3.0TD is rated at 9300, but the 6.2 is rated for 13,400. Anyone know what engine was in the F-150 tug of war?

Aston Martin News:Aston Martin Launches its First SUV
balthazar replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Aston Martin
I don't find any of them to be particularly better looking than MM. I mean, c'mon; Mia Farrow ?? For me, some women 'elevate' their physical appeal with a combination of looks and (perceived) personality. MM was one of those. Another that fits this bill and pops to mind is Catherine Bach from the Dukes days:- 64 replies

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
balthazar replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
^ I read the link. Highly under-developed at this point. No word on cost. You have to source (and incorporate into the vehicle) your own batteries. And only hooks up to manual trans cars; that's not going to fly. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

^ Maybe they also can help the newly-rudderless Musk and offer him their design, like Nikola did. Thats 89 billion times more appealing. We can hardly find people who are in the new car market to go BE, how many vintage vehicle customers would there be? Would also like to know how they allow for bolting up to dozens of different transmissions? -

Aston Martin News:Aston Martin Launches its First SUV

Just because something is really lazily designed & amateurish, doesn't make it futuristic. If I market a blender that's a dodecahedron in shape with no rotor/blades in it, is it 'futuristic' because no one else does?- 64 replies

It’s not futuristic tho. We’ve seen it a hundred times from ‘70s-80s bad sci-fi movies. It’s actually retro like the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. It also craps all over the signature & established Tesla design language.- 64 replies

You cannot remotely compare the Tesla truck to ANY production car (I can think of). ‘59 Edsel is a dreamboat in comparison.- 64 replies

A station wagon, tho, was a variant of a car: coupe, sedan, convert, wagon, sports... With a SUV... other than a couple 2-drs, theyre all 4-dr, 2-box.- 64 replies

Is it just me or is there a LOT less stylistic latitude in SUV design than car design? You can go from a mid-engine exotic to a Ford Flex in cars, but SUVs are pretty much in a tight little range- all 4-drs with a rear hatch, 2-box design. Each brand to jump into the fray's offering just melts right into the crowd for me.- 64 replies

Cluelessidioticwritersayswhat? Future safety/MPG/emission laws do not effect already-existing autos. There's literally no need to use fear-mongering tactics about legalities in order to push a discretionary consumer product.
