  1. I don't think they need to be THAT cheap, but certainly they have to come in starting in the high 20s. This $45-90K shit ain't workin.
  2. '64 Stingray, factory original & minty (except medium blue).
  3. Hmmmm; an integrated screen....
  4. Not very many are going to 'race' towards EVs that cost 2-3 times what IC vehicles cost. $30,000 buys a LOT of fuel, and for years to come.
  5. Yes, tho I was specifically looking at ‘sedans’.
  6. I read via Reuters that Tesla has settled it's lawsuit by Walmart regarding it's store rooftop installation of solar panels. This had been done on 240 stores, and at least 7 fires had broken out. Apparently, Walmart had accused Tesla of "widespread, systematic negligence" and ignoring prudent industry practices by relying on untrained and unsupervised personnel to install and maintain its panels, and prioritizing speed and profit over safety. 7. I agree in principal; if it’s an historic event it should be portrayed accurately. Of course, some of the details may be unknown but necessary... and therefore have to be extrapolated. In a racing movie featuring 2 primary players, it’s going to wave one flag or another.
  8. Bad news; the U.S. hardly has a monopoly on trying to one-up others. Seems highly unlikely; would Enzo have been anywhere near so egotistical to think microscopic ferrari would be on the letterhead with Ford??
  9. Why?
  10. ^ No; I screwed that one up (Miura). In looking at Maserati images, I guess I would gravitate toward the vintage 3500 GT; it looks to have borrowed heavily from the '55 T-Bird. But the modern stuff, design-wise, is just so... regular.
  11. The 2500 has grown on me some since it debuted, I'd give it a 4/10 now, instead of my earlier 2/10.
  12. Everybody has different opinions on 'sounds great', of course. Personally, I think it sounds like crap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky_BogbSIN8
  13. Saw a stelvio today; a pudgy nothingburger. Saw one of their commercials on TV tonight, without checking it I think they're still using the same tagline font they used in the '80s. Dead brand. Maseratis, meh- they peaked with the Muria, and that was 1969.
  14. Bought new in '57 (Canadian Pontiac), that's the owner on the right. Retired it in 1980, with 440,000 miles on it. Still owns.
  15. A puzzler for sure; losing sales & money, deemed not worth keeping.... "WHO WANTS TO BUY A SWEET ITALIAN AUTO BRAND? EH?" Just shut them down, nary a tear will be shed.
  16. Just for the record and contrary to the portrayal in the movie; the people looking to protect their interests and put pressure on Tucker were politicians, not other automakers.
  17. ? La Crosse WI; birthplace of Edward Gein. 612 Gould St, 11:30 PM. ?
  18. This pic is off GoogleMaps, but I've seen it in person. '49 Cadoo, moldering away.
  19. Another set back for Tesla. Tesla faces a federal investigation by NHTSA regarding what has been termed an "alarming" number of vehicle fires. In some instances, vehicles in an accident caught on fire, were extinguished, towed to an storage lot, then again caught on fire WEEKS later. Tesla is also facing a class action lawsuit from owners over software update complaints. These legal entanglements are on top of the 2018 FBI investigation into possible overstatement of Model 3 deliveries and any associated stock price manipulation, AND Tesla settling a lawsuit by the SEC regarding his "funding secured" tweet related to implying he would take the company private.
  20. 24”? Kidding; camera angle makes them look huge.
  21. ^ Down on traditional Cadillac performance, but I still liked these quite a bit. Would be cool to convert to RWD and drop 600 HP into. - - - - -
  22. Which in this case means... mercedes.
