  1. Well, I've already eaten 4 deviled eggs, and there's 3 more trembling victims in the fridge that aren't likely to see the light of dawn. - - - - -
  2. I saw a 1995 H1 test by Car & Driver- probably where the 184.5" number came from at Wiki. Automobile magazine had a 2019 'Mil-Spec' re-freshed H1, and with basically no overhangs, they state 195.5". There were a number of different military bodies, but the 'street' H1s had a bit more rear overhang- I'd guesstimate around 205". '19 H1 : '95 H1 :
  3. ^ Almost every body width number I've focused on (in general) has been body width minus mirrors. It should be that way for a number of reasons, prime among them vehicles like trucks which not only have 2 or 3 mirror designs, but at least 1 of which extends.
  4. Rivian R1S is about 202" long. Hummer EV SUV length hasn't been released AFARK, but it's said to have a 9" shorter wheelbase than the Hummer EV pickup @ 217", plus have shorter overhangs. Maybe circa 205-206"? However, Rivian is 79" wide, Hummer pickup is a staggering 86.7" wide. Hell, that's wider than my 81" B-59! But I see them targeting the exact same market, DD.
  5. Wild that it's not fenced at all.
  6. ^ Well, it's exactly what anyone would've expected; the pickup with a roofed cargo area. That said, I do like a lot of the design elements and it's look overall.
  7. • Chevrolet Bolt EV sales EXPLODED with a SIXTY PERCENT increase vs. Q1 2020. • General Motors Q1 2021 sales went THERMO-NUCLEAR in selling 642,250 units in Q1!!! EXCITING TIMES!!! ?
  8. Yeah- could be. I know a couple folk with scanners, will see if the light generated a code & what it is.
  9. Tesla stock is certainly a fitting analogy: there the stock price has ‘blown past’ all the fundamentals and is based on smoke & dreams.
  10. ‘Squeaked by’ = surpassed. At 3%, that seems a reasonable descriptor. And at 3%, I would also agree with ‘met’. I seriously doubt any market will outlaw IC; to my knowledve there are no retro-active automotive laws- if it was legal when produced, it’s grandfathered in permanently.
  11. It would be appreciated / beneficial to the news channel threads here if the hyperbole was brought more inline with reality. 184K actual on a 177K estimate is a mere 3% over that estimate. "Squeaked by" is far more appropriate than "blew past", IMO. Food for thought; since there's MORE than enough misrepresentations in the Battery Electric narrative as it is.
  12. Dealer doesn't want it, it's too old to even sell to a wholesaler, so they'd basically give me scrap value for it (maybe around $600). I'm going to sell it privately, it's worth about $7500 I think. Not a bad investment- I paid $24K and drove it 158,000 miles (it has 204K on it- bought it at 46K). I have a handful of folk that have expressed interest. At some point it's going to start demanding money, and believe it or not, I don't have the garage space to store the GMC over the winter (even with 6 bays here). ? May not matter; the Silverado doesn't fit thru my garage doors even with the mirrors folded. GMC is 1.5" WIDER, but not sure how the totally different mirrors fold on it yet. Silverado has power-extendable towing mirrors.
  13. It wasn't, was at 1/8th tank, but removed/retightened anyway. Light illuminated briefly upon start, then went out. About 20 min ride home.
  14. Truck fixed itself; no light all the way home from job. Have to talk about the GMC out of earshot of the Silverado...
  15. Deviled eggs!! ?
  16. 1st check engine light ever in 204K miles.
  17. Beautiful restored ‘68 442 convertible, black top, med blue body.
  18. ^ Appears they just moved in in that 10-minute span; following the queen. Man, is that a tired-looking Century.
  19. There are sealed beam upgrades available, Sylvania Super Stars or something like that- supposed to quite good.
  20. That was a QUARTER, not a month. iD4 + e-Golf = 0.005% of all VW sales. When is VW claiming to be 100% BE??
  21. Hmmm... I do not know. 455s were red, I believe the 430s were all red. [Goes off to look....] 430 ('67-69) was red. Aside from the Aluminum 215 V8, the '63 (only) Riviera & the 300 V8 (ALL silver), it appears Buick green ran thru '66.
