  1. He constantly rags about the G6 for some strange reason. To an extent that even I feel sick, despite how much I love my car.
  2. Oh god... no Pontiac in NASCAR! On a sidenote, maybe Pontiac should try Formula 1. This will shut the Honda people up.
  3. While at it, I do hope they fix the options list. It's rediculous that fog lamps and cargo nets aren't even available on the 4-cylinder.

Seen that before. Not a big fan of the front bumper. Looks like an 1st gen W-Body GP molested it (Oh wait... they're platform mates).

Actually I want to change my answer slightly. I'll get an off-lease Solstice, then do a Mallett V8 conversion, if they still have it. If not I'll stick to my original plan .
  6. This interior is strikingly similar to the Accord's. Except that they put unit radios instead of the integrated ones.
  7. No worries. These things are not meant to be handled anyways. It's supposed to be a" As long as it gets from A to B without breaking down and costs like dirt, the prospective owner won't complain" type of car. But personally I wouldn't trust it. I've seen too many of them and they feel hollow (that is, the whole class of cars in general).
  8. 8000 RPM redline... wierd... The guy I know who has one constantly rags how he revs it all the way to 10k... Again I just shot back at him that I don't even need to rev to overtake a bus.

Exactly. Without solid proof it sounds like a chain-mail hoax. How can a car even pass PDI or after assembly inspection without an engine?? Toyota isn't THAT stupid...
  10. But that looks nothing like this: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=2260 And the Chinese version is one ugly ducking with that standup ornament. Lose it then it's fine.
  11. Yeah I see what you guys mean... my bad
  12. Camel Spider

Well, my dream is to get a Solstice as my second (weekend) car, manual everything from transmission to windows. Preferably if they make one, a GXP with nothing, just a CD player and all performance options. But that comes after the house and a well paid and secure job. And that comes after graduation. And I'll probably swap my G6 with another G6 with a manual.
  14. Pontiac G5 Pursuit. Yes, that thing is actually a dealer affixed badge. Earlier than I thought.
  15. Renault Megane
  16. I'm starting to think my answer is incorrect. I was to say 1984 Pontiac 6000 STE. It was standard.
  17. Read: Tiger Woods. I doubt he drives one though.
  18. No, no, not the dash. DIC. The same one in the Cobalt and the G6 and many others.
  19. From what I heard no. 3.5L still comes standard with 4-speed Hydramatic. This change is limited to 2.4L.
  20. The base sedan is actually 3305lbs.
  21. An actual DIC, just like the ones that are installed in the newer GMs. On a Cobalt it's on the dash, on my G6 it's in the radio. Exact same thing.
  22. Anybody heard about this? I was at a G6 forum, and someone mentioned that starting 2007 the 2.4L will gain a 5-speed manual.
  23. Well I have slight control over my Hydramatic as well. Usually I do engine brakes by shifting to 3. Works all the time. I was completely confused by the maunmatic on the GT. But some day I'll trade my G6 with one that has a stick.
