I think you hit the nail right on the head here. I think Buick is doing this and they are finding customers who want exactly this. I also thing that back in the 40-60s this is what they were doing too. Sporty luxury without the flash of a Cadillac.

The car looks really good. The interior is awesome and the car is designed well. The only thing I would change is the rear wing. I would get rid of it, level off the top of the trunk and make the trunk look a bit more like the LaCrosse.
