  1. Someone payed $80,000 for a gutar, I gess because it was sighed by van hailen.
  2. GM better have more than a 320bhp v6 in a 3700lb car if they are going to put an SS badge on it, this sound more like a combo that would deserve a SPORTS badge.
  3. does any body know the difference in weight between the LS3 and the 3.6 DI?
  4. It is 15psi acording to my tuner, once I get my 255 fuel pump to go with the bigger injectors on it I will have my tuner put it up to 20 psi. For great info on the sy/tys check out: http://www.syty.net/forums/index.php
  5. I think he is just trying to say that you can gain just as much performance by lowering mass as you would by increasing bhp. So if you made an all aluminum and carbon fiber Zo6 that weighed about 2600lb and left the engine alone it would probably perform close to a 650bhp 3200lb Zo6. Anther benefit of weight reduction is also handling.
  6. Put a 6-speed stick and the turbo mill from the solstice red line in it and you have a hands down WINNER.
  7. I am just showing that everyone is wrong when they are saying a front engine rear drive car can not put down over 600bhp cleanly. With more power and more torque the C7 should smoke the 599GTB and even if they style it up with a deluxe lether interior it will be lighter and handle better.
  8. The only thing the C7 will need an AWD option for is to let its buyers make it an all season car. If you want to know what GM will do to get the C7 to put down all that power just look at its main competition, the Ferrari 599 gtb fiorano F1 , 612 bhp 448 lb-ft 3700 lb curb weight, 0-60 in 3.2, 1/4 mile in 11.2 at 129.3. This car handles better and is quicker than a rear mid engine enzo and has a DSG style gear box, using this $280,000.00 car as a template GM should have no problem figuring out what to do to get the lighter more powerful C7 to unleash its potential.
  9. I believe I read somewhere that it had DOD to. That would be great, I like good gas mileage when I am not bombing around.
  10. As long as the next CTS-V has over 600 bhp there should be no problem with this option for the G8.
  11. I will defiantly get a used on of these since it will be rare like the GMC typhoon in my family.
  12. I believe HX is the name of the concept and H4 is the rumored production name.
  13. Cadillac needs to get a great bls like car into production soon so that the CTS can be compared to its real competition the 5 series and e class catigory cars.
  14. GM knows what type of driving people that buy manuals do, it should come with the performance brakes too.
  15. hello smk4565 congratulation on your first post but I must disagree with you were you say the BMW's are in a different class please explain more of what makes you feel this way.
  16. Didn't I see a thread were someone said the the new Challenger would be available in V8 trim only and that dodge was only making it a niche vehicle????
  17. In black with AWD would have looked nice next to the TYPHOON.
  18. front-wheel-drive??? Don't diesels make a lot of low end torque, that sounds like allot of tire spinning torque steer to me.
  19. Toyota does have enough money to absorb the loss so you never know.
  20. I do not think GM would have done anything differently other than use a twin screw charger instead of the PAXTON/VORTEC one. Big Three upgraded the brakes the fuel system, ported and polished the heads , put in cranes rocker assembly, and improved the internals in the tranny. I think this is very similar to what GM would do with a V version.
