So much bullsh*t in this thread that I don't even know where to start...

Why in the world would GM EVER want to shoot for 13.7% market share when they have 21% of the retail market now? You CANNOT cut your way to profitability. I hope someone at GM understands this. As long as they keep cutting, the corporation will keep falling (for a number of reasons) Does GM need to 'trim the fat'? Sure.

I think it's I mean, I hate fart pipes just as much as the next red blooded car guy. But this is just wrong and a violation of freedom. We live in such a hypocritical, nanny induced society where people feel that they have the right to tell others what to do. If I caught this guy messing with my car, he'd probably need to use the foam to fill the holes I left in him.

So GM shouldn't build RWD cars, but Hyundai should? And FWIW, the Hyundai buy back offer saved Hyundai's ass, not the Genesis.

Fleet sales (in moderation) are good business... Too bad GM is reducing it's apparent fleet division to a niche.

I agree.. But there has been a fair share of trash talking about my region of the country in this thread and I even went one better and found 'common ground' (I usually don't play that nice) Besides, you know what they say about stereotypes... *shrugs*

Meh... I'm not really a Carolina fan. I mean, yeah, I'll jump on the bandwagon because I live here and yes it sucked that they effed it up, but whatever. I actually watched the game until that one guy ran the 100 yard touchdown, then turned it off. Something told me then that my pick wouldn't win, and they didn't. I'm actually not into pro sports at all, but I do think the Cardinals deserved it a lot more than the Steelers.

LMFAO!!! Oh, and I demand that California leaders (and the leaders of the other deficit states) sell their personal jets now and have to beg Congress for money. Then we can tell them that they should look to competitor states such as Texas, Montana & West Virginia as examples of why California (and the other states) suck so bad (and apparently kill babies on the side) Then maybe we could phase out a state or two since they're all basically the same anyway... Same $h!ty platforms (except, republican and democrat, instead of Zeta and Epsilon) same components (dirt, sand, water and trees) and the same power (failing and outdated legislative units that date back to pre- small block chevy days). Besides, america hasn't really done a good job of marketing South Carolina (Saab) anyway, so it's a "damaged state" and because of that could be irreparably harmed. Maybe we could sell just the name to Italy or something. And, I mean, who buys anything in Florida (Buick) anyway? It's for old people, so we don't need it. Montana (Chevrolet) can count for California (Pontiac), right? So we can just phase out California and all of those people will be perfectly happy and have all their needs met by Montana. (obviously, all sarcasm based on the Detroit fiasco) As far as me really commenting on this issue... Well, talking to most californians is about as effective as talking to a wall. They think we should live as they live and they're too blinded by themselves to accept tolerance or diversity. On the other hand, I live in the south and I've seen firsthand the kind of bullsh*t that SoCalCTS comments about. A lot of our "leaders" are crooks. I think the whole system is f*cked... And I think it has all begun to ferment into one big pile of sh*t. The leadership of this country is a joke (Hopefully Obama can start to change that) The money from this country is worthless. And the people in this country are SO consumed by their own ignorance and agendas that we're doomed to failure indefinitely. Just my :twocents:

RC Draft was premium and thus, pure cane sugar. The only pure cane sugar, mass market drink that I can think of now is glass bottle Nehi. (Unless you count Jones)

They still sell draft in a few places... (My GF's dad works for RC) I've always wanted to order a case of Dr. Pepper from the original Dr. Pepper plant in TX. (They still use sugar) HFCS is bad for you in many ways. I read a study that said it will eventually nuke your kidneys. (HFCS is one major reason I'm trying to break my soft drink habit)

I don't think many of us hate Saturn. Personally, I think Saturn has more potential than almost any other GM division. But, it's about priorities now. I want Saturn to stay, but not at the expense of Pontiac or Buick.

I agree... I just think gm4life is good hearted, that's all.

Nothing like a giant sausage fest to keep your population young and versatile.

Wow! That looks pretty bad. Not to sound totally cliche, but the good thing is that you walked away. Had it caught the door a little more, that might not have been the case. "That which does not kill us only makes us stronger" (An old one, but a good one)

If Cadillac were a 'run of the mill' brand in it's home market (Like mercedes and BMW are in theirs) then that comparison might be valid. As for Buick and Alpha... It'll be just like GM always has been. 1) They'll have two competing models at the same division (We've seen this for almost 10 years now at Chevrolet with both the Malibu and Impala) 2) Because the car will be something completely different at a division that can't sell that "different" and GM will fail to adequately support it in marketing, the car will be cancelled after one generation. WITNESS: Impala SS, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Cadillac XLR, etc. Same $h!.... Different day.
