FAFO has hit Kentucky. The bourbon industry can't collapse fast enough as far as I am concerned. Lots of domestics in Canada, lots. But I think outside of trucks American legacy car makers are pretty much cooked. Interesting. I have visited NYC a ton, lots of Hybrids with stupid high miles used in Taxi fleet service there. America is a dying empire, and will be for the next 50 years. Don't expect positive change from DC regardless of party in charge. One reason to boycott everything corporate and US, corporate media included. If I could buy almost nothing American, I would be a happy guy.

I try to support small local business, yes, and I am aware of the contradiction. But really disgusted with the country right now, have been for a long time. Both a lack of export sales and a lack of domestic sales account for some of the issue.

And we can't stop deficit spending. The world will move away from the dollar, and then the whole house of cards collapses. I hope to live in South America and watch from a distance as the whole thing burns to the ground. The decline of empire is inevitable.

We chatted about Corvettes, here is a C3 that has a VERY wild ride in a drag race, driver saves it at the last second. Race is at the 35 minute mark, you see more of the car at the 40:45 mark. Extremely impressed with the fabrication and build quality of this thing. Clapped out C4 is sent over a cliff in Alaska, you see the car at 1:13, see it go over a cliff at 39:45.

If I could dump American Citizenship for Canadian, I would do it this afternoon. No hesitation. AT 60K, my house is almost paid off, hell I could buy that in a few years comfortably. I want to travel, badly. More evidence the economy is going in the tank. Salad I eat sometimes at lunch was $8.50 in 2022, 12.50 last fall, now $15.00. A trade war and other things, we are going to have double digit inflation and double digit unemployment before this is over. I don't know that the car market as we know it will survive. Whatever he was smoking hadn't fully kicked in, give it until two PM. And I say this in playful jest, not to start a C and G esque 9 page flame war. Tell me weed is legal in Washington (state) without telling me weed is legal in Washington (state). If they made a Citroen 2CV Electric model it would be the cats ass compared to this Mazda. That's like saying herpes is better than getting laid, actually. Depends on the CVT, if it is the E-CVT of Toyota, apparently its quite reliable. I thought this vehicle came with a CVT, very glad it has a traditional transmission. We will see what I do for the next vehicle, a small AWD SUV might be the berries. I like this better than a RAV 4, but resale is night and day better on the RAV 4. and I like Subaru's AWD system better. Ford is canceling, the Escape, which is a dated and unlikeable product. Nissan would be a no go for me for CVT reasons, as would Honda. Were I to go Subaru, I might buy a hybrid to get the E-CVT. That would be a huge plus for me. I would prefer the hybrid anyways.

What my next quest is, maybe. Unsure, but thinking.

Things not doing great for Stellantis... Plenty of the rest of the world seems to have lost its mind. Actually, the worst thing though is that people in America are clueless about how they are hurting themselves and everyone else.
