  1. The answer to a question no one asked, your very random thought for today. In terms of Dinosaurs, theya re still with us. Birds descended from them. In terms of interesting cars, they are still with us. The interesting DNA all seems to be in motorcycles lately.
  2. ....it will be epic. Everyone will blame Hillary for Biden's death, and we will be the laughingstock of the world once again. You can't make this stuff up. Ottawa would be cold but wonderful as a place to live. However, every time I think bad about my country I remember this, and feel ninfinitely better about being American. Listen to that big V8.
  3. Cathedral (as in the song, The Edmond Fitzgerald)
  4. Obviously you have never watched the videos of Tesla's beating Hellcats at the dragstrips.
  5. Unless one lives in the south and goes to a private all girls school. Then belle air is completely appropriate. No kidding. And outside of a very basic car like a VW GTI that the European car makers will have a difficult time effing up...I have zero desire to own ANY European car. Few Euro bikes I like...Ducati Desert Sled for one.
  6. This is why companies like Rivian are so important. Electrics I think Long term (think 20-50 years) will keep people driving vehicles they want to drive. Why ve3hicles like the 4 Runner and Grand Cherokee are so good....they are a true dual purpose vehicle that can go out and play in the woods.
  7. I love this guys content. He is a real craftsman.
  8. I was thinking specifically of things like the corvair pickup trucks, vans, and other odd variants. My bad, I should have been clear.
  9. Another good Chicago song...
  10. They only sold varients that took a lot of engeneering expense in small volumes.
  11. I agree. More music for Wednesday.
  12. GM can try anything they want IMHO...I would rather see them try to innovate and fail rather than see them rest on their laurels. Early 60's corvairs were a wild bunch of vehicles with a billion variants. They were a sales failure, but creative. Being in a creative mindset brought us all kinds of awesome GM cars that were profitable. ' Rather than whining and wringing my hands, I am going to sit back and watch the show.
  13. Right. One of my high school friends was sexually abused by her father starting in the third grade. THAT is a childhood stolen. She has gone on to marry a good guy, as has her sister...she is doing great today. She entered adulthood. Constantly being in a state of morose because the automotive world is changing is kind of like re entering a dysfunctional childhood. Change happens, get over it. But maybe name it something else. Yeah. The Mercedees brand has zero interest from me. the G wagon is kind of cool, and I like some of the high end coupes they build. But that's about it. Zero desire to own anything they built after the sixties of seventies. I will take Porsche SUV's if it keeps cars like the 911 around. Without money, nothing happens...and the auto buisiness is about money to metal.
  14. If that Delorean from a popular movie really could take you back to the fifties though....
  15. I love Chicago, great band, good vibes. Have a great day.
  16. Just some work I happened to like the craftsman ship of...
  17. I am enjoying having you here.
  18. I love both the Rivian, and the Ranger. Also, the trail boss is hot. GM is bringing in younger truck buyers with the current full size Chevy, so all of the poeple here crying crocodile tears about the Silverado design can pretty much pound sand. GM is selling them like hotcakes. And that cactus grey is hot. I almost delayed buying my truck to get that color, but really liked the particular truck I bought during the test drive so I pulled the trigger. Neat...she is very talented.
  19. To be honest, most of the stuff that excites me goes off road, has two wheels, or both.
  20. I am sure they will have quite the surplus offered soon. Wish them well on the Mach E.... And right now the only GM product that has me excited is the Cololrado ZR2.
  21. I actually really like mine...to each his own...
  22. An excellent and concise story of what is being done...
  23. That is lust worthy. Cactus grey is one of my favorite Ford colors. I am very happy with mine....but it is black... This is one of my favorite movie scenes. One can only imagine how much fun the young girls had in filming it...makes me want to be a kid again.
