  1. They changed everything that didn't need changing and left the two most glaring problems: an ugly front-end and an overbearing dashboard. The first and only time I ever got into its Charger sibling, I was scared I wouldn't be able to get my legs back out from under the oversized dash.
  2. GM is determined to run Pontiac into the ground. On one hand, I am glad I bought my 2007 GTP when the G6 still looked classy and before it got whored out. On the other hand, crap like this makes me ashamed to own a Pontiac. So much for reviving Pontiac's performance status. All I see when I look at the G6 GXP and its hype is a combination of the Aztec and a cheap hooker.
  3. The seats look comfy, and the steering wheel looks nice. Everything else is crap, crap, crap. I'll take my G6 or a Saturn Aura over it any day of the week.
  4. It's a mistake to call this car anything but El Camino. If Bob is so worried about Chevy's portfolio, there are at least 3 or 4 models in Chevy's current lineup that are totally unnecessary. (Cobalt, Aveo should bow out and push sales to Saturn, Equinox and the coming Lambda are not needed) I can almost live with it being a GMC, but if it comes as a Pontiac, I will not buy GM again. I won't keep giving them money if they keep screwing with Pontiac.

Clearly, they started with the thought "Let's put a nav in our budget car!" and worked outwards from there without really knowing where they were going with it.
  6. I can confirm that as recently as 2003/2004 not all cars with manual transmissions have had clutch lock-outs. My friend test drove a Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V that was one of the those MYs. He was not familiar with manuals, and started the car before the sales rep could tell him not to. The car was in first gear. Needless to say my friend almost ended up paying for two wrecked cars, the Sentra and the Altima that was parked in front of it. THAT was scary.

Looks less deformed but more like a minivan now. The interior is out of a 5-year-old Civic hatchback.
  8. I think pretty much everyone knew when the Volt concept was revealed that it was just a plastic box with nothing inside it yet.
  9. I love this car. There is no reason whatsoever to buy a 3-series with the CTS now available, but the 1-series is a whole different monster.
  10. Wow. I expected much better reading comprehension here than on Left Lane News, but even here people can't read the f***in article.
  11. Just realized that G6 GXP sedan has a panoramic roof, even though the panoramic roof is no longer available in 2008
  12. Hey guys, I need some help from the resident experts! I'm trying to gather info on a potential cylinder head swap taking the GMC Acadia's higher-flowing cylinder heads and using them in a 2007 G6 GTP. They will be ported also. What I really need is info on the differences between the two engines, whether it is just the heads and gaskets I need to replace, or whether there are differences in valves/manifolds that will send the price of this swap skyrocketing more than it already is. I'm hoping I just need to put the new heads and gaskets in and the rest will be compatible, that is what the small amount of info I have been able to gather thus far is saying. What I could really use is some sort of database of part numbers that I can look at to see if everything is the same. My dealer is pretty much useless for this. Does anyone know a good place to get this kind of info, or even can track it down themselves? I'm pretty sure this'll work, but I'm nervous to drop $1600 on heads if they aren't going to work. Thanks for even reading, and thanks even more if you can help!
  13. And if you look clearly at the shadows, it's "right hand drive" Nice photography GM...next time try just shooting from the correct side of the car in the first place
  14. Everything Holden makes is gorgeous. How GM hasn't jumped on enthusiasts' wishes for a North American Holden or Holden-Pontiac division yet is beyond me.
  15. Hey, a cure for insomnia on wheels!
  16. So I wonder if this means the new emblem WILL go production?
  17. I vote, since this is a GM-oriented site, that we speak the language of the country GM values the most. So who knows chinese?
  18. Lime-Green Lamborghini Gallardo on my way home from class the other day.
  19. Mmm, TL-S...I never really paid attention to Acura lately, then I saw the TL-S at NYIAS, and fell right in love.
  20. I have to admit, I didn't know Mitsu was still making the Galant
  21. Regfootball, what does that have to do with the sales numbers? Production and sales are 2 different things. GM may be making a mistake in churning them out, but they are selling well regardless.
  22. WSJ should keep their nose out of the automotive business. They are good at what they do, but the auto industry is not one that can be run quarter-to-quarter. Most WSJ analysts don't know what "long term" means.
  23. Hell, 252hp + a couple from intake gain in my 3600lb GTP makes for some hellish torque steer sometimes. I hope they aim for around 240 and then focus on improving handling, rather than join the compact horsepower war that Dodge likes to have with itself.
  24. If only GM offered complimentary nude models in the back seat of every car, they'd still be #1!
  25. With all the various "ifs" and "buts" added into the article, the author might as well have said at the end "Yea, this article was completely pointless and I just wasted 5 minutes of your time."
