Cant vouch for those early years, they had the Chevy 60* 2.8 which by no means was the engine the Buick 3.8 of the same period was. I had a 91 Regal with the L27 TP3800 and it was a great car. If it seems to run good and drive good it would make a great winter car or transport for $500 US or less.

Dont know enough about them to give any help. It seems strange that a 327 would have a 400 but maybe they did ? Im not sure about 134 actual miles either. Seems that would be a big dollar car at some Barrett Jackson auction if it really was all origional w/134 miles. That said if kept in this perfect origional condition it would appreaciate, everyday its drivin or sits outside or sits in garage and rusts underneath it will depreaciate. I do like the 67 Fastbacks, was a very good styling year for Impala and most of GM for that matter.

Ive done nearly everything in the past 6 years since I quit "the woods" which in itself was a sector of construction. But currently and hopefully I can endure for years, Im simply delievering "rock". Its a local quarry, only a 6 mile drive from home. So that helps eliminate over an hour of my day wasted due to work and with 12 hour days that means alot. This outfit does alot of developement site prep, thats how the guy began actually, excavation. He got a few large jobs 6 years ago. Tearing down and regrading two large shopping malls built in the 60's. THen he just boomed, bought a small local field lime quarry and turned it into a full aggregate quarry. Its actually a fairly impressive operation, Ive worked for larger but that was the largest in NY. Our area is limestone rich and there are 3 quarrys within 12 miles. So I guess we are a "rock town" In fact one town is called Cobleskill and I dont know the history but Im kinda suspect where the name came from............... I worked 7 hours today.................and I have Monday off.........imagine that. Perfect world for me would be 40 hour 5 day weeks, like our ancestors fought for. Decent enough wages so one could make decent living on straight time. Mothers raising their children not hauling off to work and let the rugrats do as they please. But most cant do that and survive today. Then we are far to busy selling off America piece by piece in the name of economic prosperity. Slower would not hurt a thing if we had never gone too fast in the first place. Now stopping it would be like stoping rush hour traffic with a huge boulder in the road.....................C R A S H ! I understand that satty but arent they hastle free volumn sales. Im sure there is still money in them. Its really quite simple, if we had no asian cars in this country, no one would feel that the rental cars were anything out of the norm..................Im sure it wasnt a big deal 30 years ago. Ah yes, the ol W body controversy strikes again. 1. Last year W body outsold Camry this is the beauty of GM, all these people driving W bodies but yet theyt dont all look the same like all the lab rats in their Camrys 2. W body has been continously upgraded since 88 3. W body drivetrains have been upgraded 3-4 times since 88 dependiong on which motors you pick, its a car that has probably been offered with more engine choices and variations than any other car Its kinda sad to hear all this talking down by so many people that know nothing about the car, except that they heard somewhere (know it alls on C&G) "the car has been around since the 80's", then that becomes all anyone knows about the car, which in reality is little to nothing........... How many times have we had know it all posters, make the statement here, that W body has never made GM a penny, all lost money, the stupidest platform development they ever did ? Kinda funny aint it ? Wonder what the grand total W body sales have been.................and yet GM cant make any money of this simple designed and manufactured car ? yarite ! Well enough on the W body, believe what you want, and whatever you do dont drive one........... Rental cars , once again......... BFD. Somebody needs to make the sales, lets just give them all away to some Asian company............yea, thats it, that would be the American way. I bet Hyundia was happy for the sales. I bet it will help them get a stronger foothold in MY country. My "wife" and I had the strangest damn relationship, we simply coexisted, internally life was barron for both of us. I worked till dark everynight, which got me home as late as 10:00 in June. 9:00 in May/July, ect. ect. ect. If I did come home early it was because I needed to fix this and that down in the shop. Same on Sundays, always something that needed fixin in the shop. No vacations, no trips, no nothing. I could just scream now when I think back to seeing my little daughters face on Sundays when she would ask me "Daddy, Mommy and I are going to ___________can you come with us ? No Honey, I cant, I have to _____________ " I have shed hard tears on this very subject, at times when Im alone, for the past 5 years as she became more grown up and I knew that little girl was gone and not comming back. I was too busy for my Father, I was too busy for my Grandfather, now their both gone, same year - 96'...............way to go. I really worked hard after that, it was the only way I could keep my mind of the fact that I wasted the last of their years "No, sorry I cant because I have to __________" So now what ? I'll tell you all right now, in the end, none of this bull$h! matters. When your dead, its not going to matter that you made your boss rich and gave him lenghty vacations with his family and Weds afternoon golf games. It is going to matter that you didnt spend the time when you had it with the people that mattered most. The people that are an extension of yourself. Yea, I guess that guy dont have much going on......................... The harder these guys try to be "creative" because all the good lyrics have already been writtin, the more like bad comedians they sound. I think thats why they began getting into that "hardcore" growling bull$h!..........some form of creativity............some form ? At least Kroger can put together some interesting stories and phrases combined with hard drivin' riffs. So he writes some super commercial songs too, the masses love them, hes not stupid. Hes only doing what the rest of us do, go to work and do the same thing day in and day out, write catchy songs with meanings most of us can relate to. I can think of very few bands that are not predictable within themselves. Many of the bands mentioned here. VanHalen, you could hear the latest Eddie riff and say yep, thats Eddie, thats cool, thats different, but its still Eddie, you could predict the solo, the changup, everything. James Hetfields vocal approach is so predictable same as the riffs. Take Dream Theater, what I believe are the most educated and skilled musicians in the business for the past 2 decades and you just know what they are going to do next. My Daughter has that Evanesence CD and the other songs are just more of her...its that simple. Iron Maiden, Rush, Meatloaf, Savatage...........many of my favorites, just write new songs, new riffs, new lyrics that are really more of the same thing. You would need to be a musician with multiple personalities but then in the end you would only have 5 different approaches to the same way of expressing yourself(s). Beethoven, sounds like Beethoven Bach, sounds like Bach Mozart, sounds like Mozart and Chuck Berry made them all roll over, and over, and over, and over so get over it !.............................

Their a bunch of turds, any way they can find to spin something positive into something negitive. For GM its always a yes, but bla bla bla. The car handles and brakes as good as the rest but, bla bla bla. This is a great car new but why buy it when you could buy a used, bla bla, bla................what a pile of turds. Solstice sales are going to take a huge hit now anyhow, since we now have the C 2.5 on market.

We recieved the G6 accessories promo and 10% coupon two weeks ago. I just cant tell from the picture exactly whats in the GFX package. It appears to be add on to the front corners of the air dam. Like two separate pieces. Then something for the rockers, Im so undecided on how much better it is. I like what Reg posted much more. Thats what we GM people need if custom full bumper covers & grill. Thats what the Jap tuner people have access to, but not us. The GTP coupe should have its very own facia, so it doesnt look like an ordinary G6 comming at you, something that pops right out...........like Reg's photo. Cant complain too much, the difference in the base price between GT coupe and GTP coupe is so little I cant see why anyone would not pay the extra for the GTP. I also cant understand why anyone would want to change the 18" wheels on a GTP, I think they're perfect. Were going to use our coupons (2) for the floor mats & splash guards. We do still have some loose stone that gets on the roads around here..................because A-H's in their RWD/AWD BOF trucks cant seem to negotiate the roads without getting on the shoulder and throwing stones around....................

Im back on approx, 60 hr weeks again, and I hate it already. 12.5 yesterday, 11 today, I think were even gonna work this Sat. Thats what I really hate............for years I always said "dont say Saturday" on Saturday I work at my home. Construction ! Its the only kind of work I can get a job doing so Im just gonna have to learn to live with it. For me 5 - 10 hours days is perfect. A 50 hour week, all done and over with by 4:30 on Friday.............but Noooooooooooooooo we cant have that, you gotta work Saturdays so that you dont get any sence of responsibility outside of "what we want you to do". Screw your family, your projects, your house, your lawn, your cars, screw any time to just stop and enjoy life. there needs to be a law that jobs can not have deadlines. What happens is all these projects are promised to be done in an unreasonable amount of time and it leads to all the workforce involved having absolutely no quality of life. Then society hates us because we are noisy, dirty and dont dress right.............................f@#kers ! take that

The problem with the air dam is its got the cheap aftermarket "kit" look to it. Large protruding framed lip around the openings. Thats whats wrong. The side strip is horribly tasteless too. There could have been more creativity there as well, looks like something a 4th grader would do. The hood is perfect. This car would have rip snorted an older stock 442 in all performance departments. But not in the looks department The OSV's would have been excellent . GM defined itself when they killed Olds, now they are seen in that very same light, a dying company that most are afraid to buy a car from.................. Way to go Hoser's ! Now there going to show the world that satruin was not a BIG F'in mistake.............so in doing so they are going to steal sales and product from Buick, Pontiac and Chevy.................. THen I look at the older Toyotas and Hondas on the road and think about their American competition from the same period. Removed the only brand that stepped out of the norm and into Lexus and Acuras field...............go figure Cadillac has great RWD cars, but everyone seems to like to forget that. We North Easterners do NOT want expensive tire eating AWD monstrostitys, those that do, drive the Suv's and Sub's. Some of us want fine, turn key, worry free winters morning luxury FWD's.............deal with it. 300's, Magnums and Chargers or CTS's are not real popular around here but there are a few. Im looking forward to seeing how they do this winter on the challenging days. Our roads are clogged with FWD Toyotas, Lexus, Hondas, Acuras, Mazdas and the full quadrant of GM's Fords and even old Chryslers. Somehow Im just not seeing all these drivers shareing your over enthousiasm for what others presume to be the "ultimate" motor vehical.
