  1. Interesting. Oh, and I still have my Chrome HW Mustang. They called it the "Boss Hoss Silver Special" and you had to send in proofs of purchase to get one...
  2. It's all third gen Camaro under the skin, powered by a V6 as I recall...
  3. Doesn't quite qualify as news in that confused form. But I will say this, I have it on very good authority (an eyewitness) that the G8ST showcar was dressed as a GMC before it got the Pontiac nose. If it comes as a GMC... well, that's just a bad idea. We all know it's an El Camino, so GM might as well put the proper badge on it.
  4. Thanks Roger! Great pics.
  5. The Range Rovers we get here are just gussied-up junk - the real Land Rovers aren't sold here. Had to get that in there. I'll come back to the GMC discussion later.
  6. Escalade replacement should be an AWD Zeta. Think Denali XT.
  7. If anyone has a pic of the XT-2, please post it because I can't find mine.
  8. Obviously, there's a good chance of it happening - but that's been true since the 2004 GTO showed up here.
  9. Ha! No argument there, it took forever to go through all of that. But the idea occured to me with all of the recent buzz, so I just went for it.
  10. I wouldn't shoot the messenger, the info on the tails is a nugget I didn't catch and I'm glad for it. However, Pontiac wanted their own version of the Camino from just about day one. So the story could be true. I really couldn't tell you.
  11. Yeah, I'd dispute it in a heartbeat. The taillights are on the '66 GP "Camino" are stolen from a '71 Vega wagon. Speaking of Vega wagons... I'm surprised that I can't recall an El Vega conversion... IIRC, the story goes that the car was a nearly-completed prototype finished much later by a private owner. That might account for the tails, but I can't vouch for it.
  12. Finally, these are the El Caminos created here at C&G as part of the Underground's Chevelle Project way back when.
  13. One final batch on its way shortly.
  14. Photoshops and sketches - all C&G originals. A couple of early chops for my project car: And a preliminary sketch from the Underground's aborted Operation Arrowhead:
  15. Real-world phantoms and coachbuilt cars:
  16. I can't seem to find the pics of the XT-2, which was a prototype created by GM and PPG based on a third gen Camaro that did pace car duties. So, it's on to the Phantoms.
  17. Finishing-off the P&P cars is the stillborn G8ST (and its Holden/HSV brethren).
  18. The '68 Pontiac Dealer-built, Lemans-based prototype.
  19. This one is thought to be a GM prototype, but there is some dispute. I have more of it somewhere.
  20. The '78-'80 Lemans-Based GM prototype:
  21. Next up (after I run an errand), the Pontiac P&P cars.
  22. P&P cars: First is the '94 EC SS prototype that nearly went to production. I have more of this car, one with its creator, Jon Moss.
  23. Up next, prototyped and parked.
  24. Real and realized, prototyped and parked, phantomed and photoshopped, I love them all. These are (or were) mine: And my current project car: Next up, more real and realized.
