  1. Amen to that last bit! Nothing touches those cars - they were simply the best.
  2. Automatic? Boo! That won't help at B-J time!
  3. Even now, in the face of everything, same old congress.
  4. Last I heard, Mattison was not a happy camper and the Chevy deal was dead. GM Canada can do it for Canadian-built cars (or at least Canadian market cars), but I think Chevy-USA is a no go.
  5. I thought the PHS-style service for Chevy fell through! It's available now?!!!

    Hey PCS

    What color? Auto or manual?
  7. I don't think I need to say anything here...
  8. Drove a BMW B7 Alpina last night. Distance travelled: about 20' in reverse and 40' in drive. It was in the way and I had to move it. I hear that they are amazingly powerful, but the thing is HUGE, and the gadget-overload made me feel lightheaded.
  9. I must really be getting old, logic has overuled the idea - my landscape crew will be here at 8:30 AM. If I go to the shop now, I'll be there 'til the wee hours. Not a good combo.
  10. Caddy isn't my thing, but that sounds like lots of fun.
  11. Lucky you! I'm in a coma until 10 or so no matter how much sleep I get. I hate morning. But I can stay awake indefinitely.
  12. AMAZING facility! But oh so hot in July! I'd love to be there in late September/early October, or in the early Spring. Such a sweet track.
  13. I'm working on the Red/Black car, just took the Red/White one off of the lift (mostly done), and the Lotus is back on its wheels (mostly done). I forget where the next race is, but all four will be at VIR in July.
  14. The 3000 could be yours... for the right price.
  15. but I'm considering leaving now to go work on the race cars tonight. Shouldn't do it at this point, but I'm feeling the pressure to get them done.
  16. @ NOS I hope for an inexpensive fix for the two major issues - I plan a detailed diagnostic session before I even start. No rush with this one. Now the Mothertruck, on the other hand, that one is starting to get on my nerves just sitting there.
  17. Well, Capt. Danger's wallet is running a bit light... And I already have a barnful of projects. I think this one will be a driver... at least for a while. :AH-HA_wink:
  18. Amen to that! But I'll take the zero on the Kia. BTW, does Kia stand for "killed in action"?
  19. Waiting makes me... nervous. But this go-round it doesn't bother me so much. I'm kinda busy at the moment with other things anyway. I should be at the race car garage right now in fact.
  20. I remember a neighbor having a T-37, but the thing was loaded with options including fender skirts a la Luxury Lemans. Strange.
  21. Balthazar is an automotive scholar, and I for one am quite happy to see his knowlege shared here.
  22. RE: Heavy Chevy The 402-powered cars are very rare, and the 454 was an SS exclusive. But yeah, an insurance-friendly, less expensive, SS was what it tried to be. EDIT: and they got the "domed hood", but the functional cowl-induction was off-limits. I remember them (a few) running around town when they were new, and even as a kid I thought it was a silly package. Pontiac's Formula approach will always be much more to my liking - all the balls and half the show. Sure beats Chevy's watered-down "less than SS" option packages. And that holds true right through the 4th gen F-body. :AH-HA_wink:
  23. BTW: There has been another delay. They had to file for lost title, as the original can't be found. Supposedly, it will take about a week...
