  1. The Australian market is too small for that, I would think.
  2. I'm not so sure about that,Satty. PCS is now openly saying that Holden and Pontiac are dead.
  3. Stupidity incarnate.
  4. That would be almost as stupid as killing Pontiac.
  5. The bottom line is that Ethanol is the most viable alternative we have, we need to move to it as quickly as possible. No other propulsion technology or alternative fuel can move as many cars away from oil as quickly as ethanol can. Is ethanol the be all and end all? No, of course not, but it can and should be the first definitive step away from oil. When we have several million cars and trucks running on it regularly, the inexorable move from oil will have begun in earnest. Therefore, ethanol must be our initial focus and have our full support. We no longer use muskets to fight wars, but the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired with one. Think of ethanol in those terms.
  6. That's far too logical for the powerbrokers.
  7. Great. Then you can concentrate on bringing us cars that are as exciting as watching paint dry.
  8. Any way you slice it, it all comes down to the same thing. This sucks. Time to shut down the computer and distract myself with something else.
  9. You know, I may as well give up now. No matter what happens, I'm going to be disappointed. Zeta is the exact size of vehicle I like best, and it appears that it just isn't going to show up after all of this time. The smaller, lighter, Alpha just isn't going to cut it - no matter how good it turns out to be. I should have kept the GTO.
  10. Not a bad idea.
  11. Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope to be dead before electric motors take over.
  12. I can almost agree with this, but I am so sick of the delays and re-arranging that waiting for Alpha isn't an option. Disgusting really, we should all have been driving zetas for several years now.
  13. I would rather imagine a Zeta than drive a W.
  14. And here I thought this thread had potential to be positive. FOG, you are more pessimistic than I am - and that's not easy to do these days.
  15. Ah, now I see. I should clarify. I don't think the cars should be without the V8 option, the car would appear lame without it. The V6 is a no-brainer and needs to be available - not so much the I4, zetas are too big for that. The V6 should not be part of the top trim IMHO.
  16. I don't see where we disagree. Aren't we saying the same thing?
  17. Another good choice.
  18. For me, hydrogen ICEs are the final solution and I am very thankful to BMW for pursuing this. Ethanol, however, can start happening in a big way right now.
  19. Well, I'm looking forward to the GMC Ute at the NY show and the Holden concept at Melbourne.
  20. For each car's next gen,NOS.
  21. Getting back to the original subject of this thread, with the press release about the GMC Ute it looks like I may not know about the G8 ST until the NY show. That's going to be a tough wait.
  22. Oshawa has exclusive rights to the name - they couldn't use it if they wanted to.
  23. Camaro has the advantage of other generations to pull cues from.
