  1. A few of my cars looked as good or better while I owned them.
  2. Yes, and that fact alone would have prevented a new Camaro being built sooner even if GM had had one ready in 2003.
  3. It doesn't matter. It will be close for quite some time now as Toyota discovered that the job isn't so easy after all and GM discovered that the title actually could be defended. The two will trade punches for the forseeable future.
  4. I'd love to see both of them (along with the Mustang) swapping lanes back and forth along a very public stretch of highway. A sort of "Detroit salute".
  5. Absolutely agreed on the wagons and AWD, I've been saying this for years. I must also agree about GME - we seen the Europeans inability to understand the US market graphically demonstrated to us quite recently. For them to have a hand in determining the product for North America is foolhardy.
  6. This is a key point. And, Duncan, excellent post! I hope the logic of it sinks in in the right places.
  7. Told you guys it'd be a horse race! I expect it to be like this for the next decade or so.
  8. Some good ones on that list. I knew a guy in High school who was given the nickname "Pliskin" :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Jon Moss converted a Monte Carlo to RWD when he was running GMPD. And, I wouldn't be at all surprised if GM and Chrysler sell Challenger and Camaro bodies in white. Now, making them legal for the road is another matter entirely. But you could build a killer race car.
  10. " Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?"
  11. Believe it or not, I haven't seen either of those.
  12. It won't deliver what I want, so hopefully afew good V8 zetas will get through this mess and make it to market.
  13. Guys, please do me a favor and let this one ride.
  14. This bill is all about"carbon". Here's a highlight: -They are setting emissions standards all the way to 2050 - The limits are set according to a "study" done by rabid environmentalists. - The study claims that the limits are reachable if 1) Certain now non-existant technology is developed 2) 115 new Nuclear plants come on line by 2015 There was much more silliness in all of it, but I could only stand to watch so much.

    Sour Grapes

Just had to point that out , didn't you? :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Maybe. Someday. If we are lucky. I am really not interested in anything smaller than zeta though, so we'll see what actually makes it to market. Then I'll know what I'm going to do.
  17. The world would be a very boring place if we all did things the same way.

of course not, but the situations are eerily similar.
  19. I think it is in April or May. I'll post ahead of time. I'll be taking the '38 Dodge to the show, and maybe the wagon if I finish in time.
  20. Odd. All of the tech that they spout off about in that article for the v6s could just as easily apply to a V8.
  21. The single leaf in a Vette is considerably lighter than two struts would be.
  22. Let's hope that they come to their senses.
  23. Last night I watched the Senate subcommitee debating ammendments to the "Climate Change" bill on C-span. They aren't going to stop until this industry is dead.
  24. My favorite production Buick - ever.
