  1. I don't think it is BP, I've seen just the cap part on ebay.
  2. This is the wheel I'm talking about:
  3. Yes it would Fly, if the wheels are the same. I just need the measurements.
  4. If you have the aluminum wheels with the simple center cap (just a round cap with the bowtie), I could really use the measurements of the cap and a pic of the back of the cap. Thanks in advance.
  5. I'm in the middle of the same process on the wheels for my Chevelle wagon. I'm only painting the centers though as I have polished the outer rims. I also won't be using primer or clearcoat as the caliper paint I'm using doesn't react well to other paints. It's cool that you are giving this much attention to your winter wheels, they should look good on the T/A.
  6. All questions of motivation aside, very, very, cool ad! Thanks for posting it.
  7. For the carb, post some wider pics and some close-ups of the linkage and the front bottm of the carb. You may not be able to adjust the idle mixture as some of this vintage are set at the factory and sealed. You should be able to adjust the idle speed though.
  8. Definitely sound like a wiring issue. The connections on the starter motor would be my first suspect.
  9. We could have fun with this my Zeta brothers and sisters.
  10. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.p...983&page=11
  11. Will the gorgeous front end design of the Volt migrate to other Chevrolets?
  12. I love the whole thing, and stand corrected on the wheels (forgot about ZQ8). The way you are integrating the new with the old is just right.
  13. All true. But the test of our own judgement comes from where we take all of that. If we let the truth of those times and the history, which is our own, be locked away because of the stigma that the flag has been saddled with we cheat ourselves and learn nothing. Clouding the past with the social attitudes of today diminishes the lessons so painfully learned. We should not be ashamed of the Confederacy and its struggle for self-determination. That shame should be reserved for those that instituted segregation and laws designed to marginalize people of color for more than 100 years following the conclusion of the Civil War. It should be heaped upon those that barred blacks from the vote, from education, from lunch counters and buses, from the full measure of citizenship that should have been theirs in 1865. We are all still paying the price for that long injustice, one that can more properly be blamed on the USA than the CSA. We were complacent and allowed a culture of racial hate to supplant the original evil of slavery. Only the brave self-determination of the civil rights movement in the 1960s moved us finally toward what we always should have seen as "self-evident". So we need that sad old flag, because it has many lessons still to teach us.
  14. Reviews don't get more positive than that.
  15. Spot on.
  16. WOW! Whoever thought this up has a bright future. Absolutely amazing and beautiful.
  17. Busy and cluttered. The wood is awful- especially on the steering wheel where it looks so out of place. Too many themes clashing in the same space provide no unity to the design.
  18. Gee thanks.
  19. I love option1 and option3 is good as well. I know option2 is too small, the others may be as well. I think I need to check out one of those hubcap/wheel places. I saw a really cool Chevelle center for wire wheels (hubcap style) but it was just one by itself and I don't know how big it was. A set of those would be very cool. I'm guessing that I may have to mod something.
  20. If you can get ebay to work, would you try these two searches? Chevelle center caps Corvette center caps I think the ones I need will be from the 70s Turbine style wheels.
  21. Yeah, I may have to piece things together. BTW: I can't get ebay motors to work for me at all, yet it is working for you?
  22. I wish all of the center cap listings had such good pics and measurements. I can tell with certainty that those will not do the job. Thanks for the effort though.
  23. Yeah, the dust caps are an issue on my car as well. I need at least 3/4" beyond the surface of the wheel to make them work. But the biggest trouble is the 3" diameter of the hole in the wheel.
  24. I'll take you up on that once I find out.
  25. That would perfect! If it fits, that is. I have been scanning ebay and very few listings show any measurements. Even when they do, it is very hard to be sure. So far it looks like late 70s and early 80s Camaro, S-10, Monte Carlo, Corvette may be the best candidates for proper fitment. I wish I had a few examples to try out.
