  1. Write down the date! I agree with GXT. Such home facilities could be a fine stepping-stone to a real hydrogen infrastructure. Although I'd rather see it used for fueling hrydrogen-powered ICEs than fuel cell cars.
  2. Seems to me that a decline in the number of dealerships is necessary - I don't see that as a real negative overall.
  3. Only three factors really matter to me concerning this vehicle. 1) Toyota's limited experience with full-size trucks and SUVs 2) The obvious flaws in the Tundra on which it is based 3) The fact that it is stone ugly The rest doesn't matter after those three.
  4. The car incorporates two of the design cues I hate most, the "eyebrow" light above the headlights and clear tails. One is an odd twist on design that has no real benefit to the appearance of the cars it has been used on (though this is the least offensive example I have seen to date) and the other just kooks like crap on every car that has ever been subjected to this played-out trend. Any designer who uses clear lenses should be drawn and quartered from now on. Sorry for the rant, but these two details make me want to vomit wherever I see them. As for the car itself, the front end looks pretty good. The rear however looks fat and droopy (note the rear shot of the blue vert).
  5. I doubt it. The Sequoia has never been much of a sales success.
  6. Man, I have to be the contrarian here - I hate the lights front and rear.
  7. I looked at the wheels on a ZR2 S-10 Blazer today and I really think these caps would work. I won't know for sure until I can get a clip to clip measurement, but it looks like they are what I need. Unfortunately, they are rediculously expensive.
  8. Everyone should follow the link and read the story. So much could be solved.
  9. I get it, but the idea just turns me off. Yes, I understand the logic.
  10. This is what the wheels looked like during the process, the wheel on the left in each pic is a true "before" example. They were pretty nasty.
  11. Those lugs sound like they might do the job (I'm hoping the local speed shop has some generic black lugs though). The motor and trans will go in soon, but I have some things to complete on the cowl and firewall first and I have to get the rear brakes finished etc. If I can get some heat going out in the barn, I should be able to get all of that done fairly quickly.
  12. Thanks again BP, question sent.
  13. Thanks KC, I can't wait either! But It's getting mighty chilly in the barn again.
  14. Yeah, thats what it looks like. Too bad.
  15. Finally got the blasted wheels finished - took forever. I now have a ton of time in these things, It likely wasn't terribly cost effective to bring them around, but I'm pretty happy with the results. Here are a few pics right after they were completed today and a preview of how they will look on the car. Now to find the right centercaps and some black lugs for them. Pics:
  16. Thanks YJ, your timing is excellent. I just finished the wheels today (pics shortly). Sounds like BP was right and those centers are all one piece? I'm just trying to find a cap like the ZR2 wheels have. If yours do detach, then they might do the job - but it looks like only the ZR2 style do that. Hope I'm wrong.
  17. And... Consider this reality: Some folks (myself included) with have our desireable cars converted to run on alternate fuels before driving some little $h!box. I will never drive any of those nasty little rolling apologies.
  18. But a GTO looks so much better than an X5 regardless of the wheels. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Hydrogen may be an energy source afterall. :AH-HA_wink: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...mp;#entry339636
  20. I couldn't share a car.
  21. Wow. That ad is something.
  22. I understand the frustration - it is my own as well. I've ranted about this in the mod/admin forum since the beginning - just ask Fly or Z. :AH-HA_wink: The truth is, we are tied to these jerks that host the site for another 7 months and are held hostage by their crappy service. If there were an easy solution, we'd take it. As it is, we are doing all that we can to get the host to give us the service that we have already paid for. Yes, it's frustrating. No, none of the staff is slacking on this issue. It ticks us off as much, if not more than, everyone else.
  23. 2 doors too many, otherwise I like it fine.
