Fly's plane should be landing in about 20 minutes, so I'll be leaving pretty soon to pick him up.

You've hit upon the main reason that I can never live in the West, I need the green around me.

I don't know how that date tag got there, the bridge is mostly gone with only short sections at either end left standing. The tornado also flattened most of the trees around the bridge, too bad as I would have loved to go back there and walked the bridge again. I did get to see it when it was completely abandoned, as well as when they opened up access and started running the locomotive across it again as a tourist attraction. I did miss out on getting a ride across though. I'm told that , from the train, you couldn't see the bridge at all making it like riding through open sky. I would like to have done that.

I'd call 2:00 a good bet, we could be here by 1:30, but 2:00 should be more than safe.

I remember well what it felt like to walk across this monster, no matter who you were you got to know vertigo quite well. It was an amazing structure in an exceptionally beautiful setting, until a tornado destroyed it in 2003. I will never forget the sight of a B-2 cresting a hill right in front of me as I drove down the highway. The plane was moving low and slow and popped up over the hill very suddenly. Truly awesome sight. Most intimidating.

Oh come on, you yourself said that you have dinner at a restaurant here in Berwyn from time to time. Excuses,excuses.

I am guessing that we will be back from the airport at about 1:30 or so. Please, everyone who is coming, 15 MPH on the lane (driveway), its a big issue with the neighbors. I'm guessing that a thorough inspection of the LeSabre, and the barn, will take us to 3:30 or so. At that point, we could go across town and check out the '38 Dodge if everyone is game. Then dinner?

Just wanted to get a grip on who all is going to be here on Saturady to see Fly off on his journey. I don't know what we are going to be doing (after wasting a few hours checking out cars and talking cars). Going to have dinner somewhere has been suggested, which might be the best idea because it is going to be very hot and humid here according to the forecast. Anyway, I wanted to warn the neighbors (I live on a shared driveway) about the cars that will be showing up, so please confirm that you are coming in this thread. Should be a good time.

All you would have to do would be to take the PA turnpike west to Valley Forge, I'm about 15 minutes from there. As for Saturday plans, there are none yet, but dinner sounds like a good idea.
