  1. I will happily dance on the grave of this car when the last one Finally rolls off the line. And when the last W-body Impala is built, I want to have a party.
  2. I hope so too, Northie.
  3. I think I'd like living there. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. Thanks for the chuckle - that would have made a great video! BV: thanks.
  5. Thanks Fly. I still love that car - if there had been another way... Well, you get the picture. Not a fun day for me.
  6. Holden really is the only hope for me. I don't expect a Vette to be a viable option, I'm not big on Caddys, Kappa cars are a bit small for my taste (although I like them) and the rest I wouldn't consider (trucks excepted). It will likely be a while before I buy new again, I'm waiting for some product announcements before I'd go there again.
  7. GM G, F, B body cars and GM trucks in general.
  8. Everything is, or will be , for sale. (except the Silverado) As each project car is finished it will be for sale. There are a ton of reasons behind all of this.
  9. Hardly. My next new GM will either be designed by Holden or designed and built by them. Only Holden builds what I want.
  10. Welcome to the third world if this happens.
  11. The GTO is gone.
  12. It's not an argument or a competition - it's a quest for truth! :AH-HA_wink:
  13. "My uncle has a country place..."
  14. Cold day in hell when I would pay $800 for a brake job - I'll have much less that that invested in the the Chevelle's brake system all told ( and I'm replacing EVERY component including all of the lines). That said, I'd fix the Lumina. Better the devil you know...
  15. Keep your eyes open for a 2002 Hawk, best f-body for holding its value. In fairness, I have to say that the F-bods are superior performers over the Mustang - but many find the Mustang to be more liveable day to day. BTW: I'm not one of them. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. GM will not kill Pontiac, at least not in the near term as the cost would be prohibitive. Don't forget that the integration of the B-P-G sales channnel is far from complete. So Pontiac is safe for a minimum of 5 years as I see it, and I expect the brand to gain an identitiy and turn itself around long before the axe even could fall. Isn't going to happen.
  17. Glad to see that they stepped up! Very glad.
  18. So would I, but many F-body owners are fanatic about caring for their cars so really nice, low-mile cars are not hard to find.
  19. As far as buying 4th gen F-bodies goes, right now is probably the best time to get one. But, I would seek out a well-cared-for, low-mileage example as the price difference is relatively minimal.
  20. Proposed new Healey on Kappa ! New_Healey.bmp
  21. Another gem DCX failed to produce:
  22. Fly: I'd start looking for door weatherstrip/window fuzzy sources if I were you. Ebay or aftermarket.
  23. Yes, but it won't come to that. This car is going to do well in the market.
  24. Z is right about the insurance, the 98 Hawk is on a collector car policy.
