  1. Thanks PCS, I can always count on you for a compliment.
  2. Very exciting, cool to watch, but exceedingly stupid and dangerous. Take it to the track!
  3. I do have a large aquarium with just a few fish in it, one of which is a huge catfish. But naming a fish seems just a bit silly to me.
  4. I doubt that snakes will be an issue, this is a densely developed residential area with small lots. I believe the actual town is Santa Clara.
  5. Abolishing toll roads = massive fuel savings
  6. Yeah, I don't see this being a problem (I'm just helping out a friend, after all). No worries on the plants, I would only use local stuff anyway.
  7. Toll roads should be abolished.
  8. No, but I almost took a third puppy (who would have been Duntov) and I am soooo glad I didn't! Its bad enough having two huge dogs that hate each other, three would be insane. I thought about getting a cat and naming him Duntov - but I don't really like cats and Malamutes think they are tasty, so that won't work. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Enjoy!
  10. I don't know, Moltar. PA doesn't require a license, so I've never had to deal with that.
  11. Thanks. Hanging out isn't the main focus, if I do this. I would have to hussle and get back home as fast as possible.
  12. To answer a couple of questions. Arkus is a Malamute. and, He and his brother,Zora, both love people but hate each other.
  13. An old friend of mine wants me to come out there and do a new landscape for him. I'm actually considering doing it. The thing is, though, everything is different so I need to give myself a crash course in California landscaping befoe I can even determine if it is doable. So, I could use any information and or pics anyone local to that area could provide. I need some local supplier connections too.
  14. The two-mode is now expected to get 40% better mileage, care to change your position GXT? Add the Volt, efficient diesels, and E-85 and it looks to me like GM is the new "green" leader.
  15. Anyone have a good caption for the first pic?
  16. That blade of grass stuck to his nose for about 10 minutes!
  17. Thinking of the Bradley GT, 68?
  18. Don't forget that the mileage gain decreases with the size of the vehicle the technology is applied to. Kudos to GM for putting it where it will do the most good first.
  19. Sure is an interesting race, and it seems to me, that GM has something up their corporate sleeve they aren't telling us yet. All of the press releases about the Volt just ooze cinfidence, and coming from conservative GM, that gives me pause. One thing though, calling the Volt a hybrid seems really inaccurate to me. The car is really in another class altogether - a superior one.

  21. I'm dying to get back to this - maybe this Sunday.
  22. Pre- Duramax GM diesels just basically suck, I wouldn't bother with one. But the EFI trucks really were great, and relatively efficient. The GMT400s that I had got really good mileage for 4x4 trucks. In fact, my 1990 3500 with an EFI 454 got better mileage than my 2001 6.0 2500 HD did.
  23. Really nice work! That dash reminds me of the early Chevelle dash for some reason- great job.
  24. Only do '87 and up on these, the fuel injection makes all the difference. I'd only go '92 and up if possible, the GMT400s are great vehicles and have about a million advantages over the previous vehicles which were still based on a design that debuted in 1973. I've owned Chevy trucks of each generation from '68 forward ( no 900 yet), and I have to say each was better than the one before it. Oh, and get a Suburban rather than the truck: it will work better for what you plan.
  25. Actually, I'm fine with the truck market shrinking a bit. Let all those pretenders who don't need a truck start buying cars again so that those of us who need a truck can afford one. The 900s are arguably the best trucks on the market, I'm glad to see that GM was able to resist the incentives for as long as they did. I'd like to see the whole truck market adjust downward a bit on pricing.
