So it was a ‘dual dually’…interesting.

I do remember at my first job in the late 90s in Colorado Springs the director of my department (a guy about 45 then) had a silver 1950 Packard 4dr w/ a straight 8...saw the engine once and rode in it, very smooth. It was a his grandfather's car, all original in very clean shape. His daily was a mid 90s Infiniti Q45 in silver also.

Fascinating to think that 61 years ago Chevy really only had three lines of cars--Corvette, Corvair, and full size. They have the same amount today--Corvette, Spark, Malibu..though I suspect the Spark and Malibu will be gone soon. Edit: I forgot about the Camaro...it's so invisible anymore. So they have 4 car lines currently.

I wonder if it will be $71k like the Bronco Raptor. (plus $20k dealer markup).

Yeah, the grille texture, relationship between the headlights, turn signals, grille and bumper are similar...

If you remove the brow ridge, that front end reminds me of where Buick went in '73 for the Century..

It's raining today...left it outside, maybe some of the mud will come off..going to run through a car wash tomorrow and try and get the mud and salt off. Still have several weeks of winter left. Alas, my weekends the next 6 months are probably going to have many trips to the farm..trying to clean up the mess my older brother left behind. I have no idea where the keys, titles, etc are to his dozen cars, trucks, SUVs and 1/2 dozen motorcycles are... and he pretty much destroyed the house that has been in my family for over 50 years. And he died presumably without a will, so that will be fun to sort out.

Interesting, but not very Cadillac style overall. I like Cadillacs with vertical taillights. For some randomness, I’ve been busy the last few days dealing w/ my brother’s passing and the mess he left of the family farm. I hate mud season on the farm. Snows, everything freezes. Then it warms up, everything melts into a slushy muddy mess. Then repeat. 4 trips down and back the last 4 days…(almost 200 miles round trip each). Going to be a lot of weekends coming going up and down I-77..

Your property taxes are low relative to valuation. My split level outside Cleveland I bought for $165k 5 years ago (currently valued around $260k) has property taxes around $5400/yr for 2022. My 130 acre family property out in the sticks has property taxes of $4500/yr, estimated value of $5-600k for the land…

Someone spent a lot on that, but couldn't paint it? Looks like a pile of shit..

I'm pretty sure GM is doing no further ICE development, so anything new would be a BE. Buick is just going to be premium appliance CUVs...they aren't going to be doing sedans or coupes, at least not for the US market. the modern Charger was of a different time and place...GM is all in on generic FWD-based CUVs, and moving to all BE....

Buick did have a performance past, but that is long gone. They just have FWD-based CUVs now, nothing of significance. That past isn't coming back..

I got bad news last night (phone calls after 9pm are never good) that my older brother had died at age 72. We had been estranged for years, esp. after our mother's death almost 6 years ago. He had a lot of issues in life, but I have to try and look at the positives--he got me into model cars 40+ years ago and got me into '60s rock music, Mustangs and '60s muscle cars. He could be a really unpleasant and difficult individual, but was still family. I'm sure he left no will, so now comes the messy aspects of cleaning up and clearing out the family farm (which I own 1/3 of), selling his car and motorcycle collection, cleaning up the property and selling it...

Keep in mind how poorly built Teslas are and how hard it is to get them repaired...also, they have a lot of crashes because the zombies that drive them assume 'auto pilot' too literally.. -
Haven't seen much of note this month, with the weeks of snowy weather and such. Did go to Dunkin this morning, and in the drive thru line there was a very clean dark blue WJ Grand Cherokee Laredo behind me, much the same as my old one...and a dark red WL Grand Cherokee Summit L in front of me...was like seeing my past, present and possible future all at the same time...

I'm sure the numbers are out there for the current 3-sec capable vehicles. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

^ basically the Silverado EV styling adapted to an SUV...I like it. I like the slim lighting trend we are seeing w/ EVs, going away from massive bulging light clusters that became so common on so many vehicles over the last couple decades. And no huge grille. -
It's in Arizona...anything goes in there, just like Florida...
