  1. Kia...though they already seem to have a bad image at least w/ their cheaper ICE models. Of the list of midsize mainstream sedans, if I had to buy any of them, I'd go with the Accord...built here in Ohio, always had a good reputation and always known to be a pleasant drive.
  2. No much left in what used to be the biggest segment of the car market, I think. It's disappointing how much market share has moved to mediocre CUV appliances. And the Altima has a very bad image...car of choice of people w/ subprime credit..
  3. It's just a Toyota appliance, wouldn't expect Lexus quality interiors..
  4. I had a rental in white like that with a sunroof for 3 weeks in 2017 when I closed on my previous house before moving back to Ohio from AZ..it was quite pleasant.
  5. I like this Eldorado convertible concept image I found a FB Cadillac group.
  6. I do have an all-black interior in my Cadillac..but a black Cadillac w/ black interior does look so good, IMO...and I do have have chrome and copperish trim along w/ the woodgrain...but if I didn't have the pano roof it would be pretty dour in there. Genesis has been doing a great job w/ interior color options, IMO.. blues, reds, browns..
  7. I like the blue, but the blue w/ a cream or tan primary color would be nice...I find gray and black overdone.
  8. Haven't encountered the push button transmissions... but do have a couple versions of shifters that rock fore/aft w/ flappy paddles also that I never use..
  9. For my old guy mumbling at clouds moment, I'd like to have a new Buick that looked as good as this instead of their generic modern appliances...
  10. I can't stand the stupid doorhandles on Teslas and other EVs..what's wrong with using normal door handle designs? Too many EVs seem to have to be different to be different...cutesy BS..
  11. Yeah, my sister has done Airbnb several times w/ condos in Miami Beach and Myrtle Beach...mixed results. She's had places with bad lighting, very uncomfortable beds, leaking ceilings, failed furnaces...others have been spotless and very clean and tidy, with comfortable beds.
  12. I had a white 2005 Monte Carlo rental almost 20 years ago...I rented one in Denver and drove to Telluride for a week for my 35th birthday, sight seeing all over SW Colorado.. Durango, Silverton, Pagosa Springs...fun trip. Had a sunroof, was smooth and comfortable IIRC. Over the years, I rented many Impalas of that era, they were good cars.
  13. He’s definitely on the list of actors I’d want for Bond. Great actor. Aiden Turner would be good also (Irish actor from Poldark revival and other things). I think Owen was on the list back in 04-05 when Craig got the role. Not sure how many Fleming books or short stories haven’t been adapted. Some of the post-Fleming titles by other authors could make good screenplays I think. I like how in the 80s books Bond drove a Q-modified Saab 900 Turbo.
  14. Yeah, like in the last Craig film Bond was retired, there was a new 007 agent--a black female. '007' is a code name for the job. 'James Bond' may be a code name also, since all the 007s were named James Bond up until the last film. The Craig films were uneven, some better than others. I liked Pierce Brosnan better in the role, and would have liked to have seen Clive Owen in the role 15-20 years ago.
  15. Yeah, and a turbo 4 in something that is supposed to be a 'luxury' midsize... not a fan of 4 cyl engines outside of compacts...
  16. I flew Southwest to Denver a few weeks ago, first time I'd been on them since 2017 when I flew back and forth from Phoenix to CLE 6 times during my move. I had a free ticket, with the Business Select so I got a 2nd row window seat. I really don't like not having assigned seating, though. Flying American in August for a work trip to DFW and I'll probably drive for a vacation in October.
  17. I flew a couple weeks ago from CLE to DEN, since I have TSA Pre and Clear it was pretty easy. But I really don't enjoy flying very much these days. Flying again in August.. to DFW for work.
  18. The Nissan GT-R has a similar kink in the rear quarter window trim, goes even further in the C-pillar itself is kinked...interesting design choice.
  19. I do miss having a nearby IKEA store. I drove past the one on I-25 in the south Denver suburbs last week. (First time back in a decade, got rain and snow but a lot of sunshine). I miss the Front Range sometimes.
  20. He has a really creepy voice also.
  21. Nice to see one in red w/ a sunroof. I drove several of these as rentals back in the day, liked the styling of these more than the successor. They drove quite pleasantly IIRC.
  22. Yeah, I have a coworker that lives in downtown Pittsburgh and heard this morning her building has a generator but it's been on and off...
  23. A coworker recently bought one of these... after seeing them in person, I'd characterize the styling as if Lamborghini made an economy hatchback. It's a sleek shape with a lot of Lambo in the profile and front. My coworker is 5'7", we had an local happy hour a few weeks ago I drove down to Akron and met up w/ my coworkers I hadn't seen in 6 months (as we all work from home), and I rode a few miles in his new Prius..at just under 6'0" my head was right into the roof glass...tight inside. Neat looking little car, though.
  24. My sister used to work out there at Conoco Phillips...did a consulting contract for a couple of years that had her flying between Phoenix, Bartlesville, OK (in and out of Tulsa airport) and Houston most every week. Said the drivers on I-10 outside Houston were among the worst she'd seen..
  25. Styling reminds of a mix of the new Defender with a ‘70s IH Scout. Simple and clean.
