  1. Sharp..like the color...looks like you got it plated already also...already been to the DMV?
  2. Pollen seems to have been worse this Spring than in recent years...oak tree pollen all over everything....beautiful, unusually warm sunny weather. But the pollen is killing me.
  3. Took a break and a walk around the block and saw an unbadged RHD M-B Metris postal van. Didn’t realize the USPS was using them.
  4. I wonder how much the battery pack in Hummer weighs...
  5. True, but the 2500HD is a true work truck for hauling stuff. The Hummer EV is just a pricy toy. And imagine the poor schlub in the Chevy Spark they run into... wouldn't stand a chance.
  6. Pedantic much? I wouldn't consider any of those sedans as they have frameless door glass. Now an '80s Mustang LX notchback, that was a 2dr sedan as it did have upper door frames and a fixed b-pillar.
  7. Don't think I'd classify the Grand National or GNX as a 'performance sedan'...more of a performance coupe or muscle car. Remember, the Regal it was based on was a personal luxury coupe. Anyway, it was one of the fastest cars of the 80s and a unique last hurrah for RWD Buick performance cars..
  8. In another time and place, I coulda been a Buick man. Some beautiful beastly 70s Big Buicks.. ..and some sweet '80s Buicks.
  9. Yes, long run. Similarly for Buick and their Road Wheels, around well into the 80s. And Olds with the SS II (?).
  10. Googling turns up pics of ‘80 & 81 GPs with those wheels, not sure if they were available on other Pontiac’s then. The Rally IIs made a comeback in the early 80s, seen many ‘81-87 vintage GPs with them.
  11. Got the August issue of Collectible Automobile in the mail today, was reading an article about the ‘78-80 Grand Prix, and came up this photo—caption says for 1979, the Rally IV wheel option replaced the Rally II wheel option. First I’ve ever heard of or seen these wheels…
  12. How about this for a longbed, regular cab pickup...make that extra long bed..
  13. I grew up with Dobermans and German Shepherds, they were great family dogs..very protective and loving.
  14. Spotted these two Vipers at a gas station this morning, then saw two more on the street as I was leaving..both black, one an ACR with a monster rear wing. Later at the car wash saw a dark red F150 with the license plate ‘IMDEAD’.
  15. Named after Carl Gay who founded the dealer in the 40s.
  16. I have just under half a tank...haven't bought gas in a couple months...should go get some.
  17. Anyone here affected by the gas shortage in the SE and East Coast areas? Lots of drama, sounds like...people hoarding gas, filling up plastic bags with gas, etc...
  18. Maybe in the future once I get them out of storage.
  19. Yes, 1/25th is the US standard scale (1/24 for Japanese and European brands). I have two of the AMT '64 GP annuals (along with the '64 Bonneville ht & convertible)....both of mine were bought as built, one fairly well, one pretty rough. They are in storage, but here is a pic of the '64 box art. I also have the '59 Buick annual kits (ht & conv), along w/ all the full size Buicks from '60-66 along w/ the '69 & 70 (there were no full size Buick kits for '67-68 or after '70).
  20. That looks like the AMT 1/25th scale promo. I don't have one, but have a couple of the annual model kits of the '64 (which share the promo tooling but w/ an opening hood and engine, extra parts). '64 was the first year AMT made a Grand Prix kit or promo, they made them for '64 and '65. I have resin kits from the Modelhaus for '66 and '67 (ht and conv). All in 1/25th. MPC later made kits and promos in 1/25th of the Grand Prix for '69-72. (collecting model kits and promos are one of my hobbies)
  21. Sounds like the name of a subdivision in a Phoenix suburb.
  22. Now 36 and freezing rain/ snow. Double ugh
  23. 45 and rain has changed to 39 and sleet. May is looking more like Feb or March. Ugh.
