Crazy indeed...when I lived in Phoenix, SWA was usually always the cheapest to places I would frequently fly (Denver, San Francisco, Cleveland)....

Saw a Buick like that yesterday, white also. A local independent repair shop has 3 older Buicks parked along the side of their lot--a late 80s-early 90s LeSabre 4dr (the really square ones), an early 00s Century, and a white PA like that. I wonder if the shop owner has a Buick fetish or a lot of older customers that have older Buicks.

I know a really good independent shop here that my sister used for her Cadillac..been in business 50 years, on their 3rd generation in a family. Just like the independent shop I frequented in my Phoenix neighborhood. Both are generalist shops, and there is also a great Euro shop there that she took her old Mercedes to. I do wonder if in the future we will see independent EV repair shops to repair future EVs? Or will they just be disposable appliances that the automakers recycle after the leases are up?

The dealer can change the oil and brakes much faster than I ever could...I have no interest in f*cking around w/ that shit...nor do I have a lift or pit in my garage or the space for one.

Modern vehicles aren't designed for DIY servicing. My Jeep, for instance, requires removing the whole front fascia to change any of the front bulbs.

Yes..there is a restaurant/bar in there, my sister went a few times and took pics. There are a lot of interesting MCM houses in Bartlesville also...the Price Tower was seen in a movie w/ Ben Affleck that was filmed there some years ago also.

Re: dogs---some friends of mine that live in downtown Columbus in a condo recently got an Australian Cattle Dog puppy...they get to about 35 pounds. Interesting looking dog, they apparently don't shed much..often have blue eyes. Speaking of dogs, our pack is doing fine..Henry (golden Yorkie) recently turned 14, Ginny (tiny Yorkie) is 12, and the younger ones are fine (Raine--Australian Terrier mix, and Beardsley--something mix).. also took a couple pics today of a squirrel on my patio wall...

December gloom here currently, not seeing much interesting. Went out today, saw a purple Challenger SRT w/ the yellow air dam shipping protectors on... and was at a light behind a Chevy Equinox w/ an Oklahoma plate..odd to see in Parma, Ohio. It had a Chevy dealer plate frame from Bartlesville, where my sister worked for a couple years at ConocoPhillips about a decade ago. Interesting coincidence...

Caught a glimpse of what looked like a clean yellow '65 LeMans sitting in a garage..had a car cover partially on, couldn't tell if it was a coupe or convertible. From the length of the badging on the rear quarter pretty sure it was a LeMans and not a GTO (from 75 feet away).

I’ll admit I do enjoy planting trees and cultivating them. I started using a yard service when I lived in Phoenix, had no interest in mowing in the summer when it was 110F or more often. I’ve never been much of a wrencher, I’ve always enjoyed driving more than tinkering.

I have contemplated buying an electric mower and doing it myself..but I'm sure after one round I'd be in a world of pain from my back. Shoveling a bit this week has left me in extreme pain... I'd need a riding mower. I still don't know how my folks did it all those years on the farm (mowing several acres w/a fleet of Snapper riding mowers). The good thing is up here in the CLE we have generally much less humidity in the summer than most of Ohio, it's not as gross outside in summer than I remember it being down in Tuscarawas County (where the family farm is), so mowing then wouldn't be too awful.

Dealing with all that shit is why I prefer having a yard service...I'd rather pay people that specialize in yard work to do it than waste my time...

The 80s are what I grew up with, also like a lot of '60s-70s Ford products. Still love the Fox body Mustangs. I like the current Mustang a lot, and am looking forward to seeing the new Bronco...I could definitely see having a late model Mustang and Bronco in a future larger garage...

Always liked the Aerobirds compared to the blocky 80-82 Boxbirds they replaced. Oddly, the '83-84 still had a horizontal dash very similar to the '80-82. After having Cougars in the early-mid 70s, my Mom had a '77 Thunderbird, then an '80, '83, '87 and lastly a '90, so I grew up around them, along w/ Lincolns and other Mercury products.

My last oil change at the dealer was quick, I got there at 8am on a Friday and was out in 40 min or less, incl tire rotation, air filter and cabin filter. Once a year given how little I drive.

Greenworks is the brand of my snowthrower. Got it on Amazon.

I have Black & Decker electric leaf blower, leaf vacuum/mulcher, string trimmer, and saw. Most work pretty well, biggest irritation is the cord coming displugged and the cord tangling around my feet. I have an electric snow thrower, and it is disappointing as it it can’t seem to handle snow deeper than a foot or so. But I really don’t want to fool around w/ gas power tools; having to carry a gas can in my Jeep would be disgusting.

Cadillac needs something in that space...an uber-lux version of the Escalade w/ the Blackwing V8, 24 inch rims, etc. Mega-bling.

A friend of mine that lives in BC (Burnaby) has a vacation home on Vancouver Island somewhere on the coast.. the photos I've seen of the area look quite spectacular. I really want to get out there eventually and explore... Those bars look delicious.

Got pretty slammed up here...some areas further east got a couple feet of snow.

Snow stopped overnight. 30 and sunny, supposed to get to 39 this afternoon. Measured 15 inches off the back patio and front driveway..drifts larger. Used the snowblower a bit, it gets bogged down in a foot or more of snow. Was a heavy wet snow. Did some shoveling, got the Jeep out and made some passes back and forth to knock down some of the snow in the driveway. Cleared it enough for the Amazon deliveries and USPS...

Google brings up many renderings...could be nice. The red one appears to be the current Charger front stuck on the old Magnum body, seen pics of several of these that have been done in 1:1, even seen a couple w/ Challenger fronts. The 2nd rendering is a wagon w/ the current Charger lower bodysides..

I wish they had made a 2nd gen Magnum....a current one based on the Charger would be great. Love the idea of a Hemi sport wagon.
