  1. My little gray LX served me well for 6 years in NE Ohio until I moved to Ann Arbor, MI in '94 where it got totaled 2 weeks after I moved there for grad school. This is the only digital pic I seem to have of it, parked w/ my '87 GT on the farm around June 1990. Interesting article about the Iron Duke Camaro... https://jalopnik.com/chevrolets-first-four-cylinder-camaro-was-really-bad-1825128229
  2. The Infiniti FX? I liked those...distinctive styling, not the usual SUV box.
  3. Sheeple (the manipulated)
  4. The truck is probably just an appliance to them...most drivers don't know what is under the hood---just a power unit for their appliance.
  5. I'm pretty sure the only GM models sold by GM in Australia in the 80s were Holdens. Anything else would have been a one-off. And the Firebird was never available in RHD from the factory, so this was something custom. A 4 cyl w/ an automatic in something that big and heavy would have been miserable, even in the early 80s, I suspect---like 20 second 0-60 times... maybe it was an Aussie Knight Rider fan on a budget.
  6. I had an ‘86 Mustang LX 2.3 in college, at least it had a manual (though only a 4spd). At least it was light enough to get out of its own way. My 5.0 GT was more fun to drive.
  7. Tzus are nice. At some point, I'd like to have a West Highland White Terrier (Westie) again or an Australian Terrier again...have had them in the past, love their personalities and temperament. Westies are calmer than Aussies, the 3 Aussies we've had tended to be bipolar...sweet and loving one moment, bitey and ferocious the next.
  8. Really odd someone would go to the trouble to import and convert to RHD a 4cyl Firebird...maybe a V8 Trans Am, Formula or GTA of that generation, but a 4cyl? Those things were 90-hp turds...
  9. Yes! I was looking at pics of it last night, I like the styling inside and out... very sharp and unique. A bit of randomness..my father would have been 99 today.
  10. Of the 'designer' breeds, I like Yommies (Yorkie-Pomeranian) , Yorkipoos (Yorkie-Poodle) and Morkies (Yorkie-Maltese). For some randomness, saw a TV ad for the GMC Hummer EV...I rarely see TV ads, but I was streaming a documentary on the Ark Royal and it had ads.
  11. Nice 70-72 Vista Cruiser..those look like an available Olds wheel of that era, without the trim rings seen on this '70..
  12. I liked my Bronco II. Served me well the 6 years I had it.
  13. Probably too small to fit a Hellcat V8, though.
  14. I really don't do off-roading, other than the occasional gravel road, so I don't need all the rock-crawly capability of a Wrangler or Bronco... I suspect w/ the big tires and removable roof the Bronco will be loud on-highway, like the Wrangler...would be a fun weekend toy. The GC is quieter, more of a daily driver all-weather luxo-cruiser which suits my taste.
  15. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Broncos, Sport and 'large'. I don't think I'd trade my Jeep on one, but they look fun.
  16. My typical work-from-home fall uniform, with COVID crazy hair...
  17. Re: dog pics.. Recent pics of Henry, Beardsley's bum, Raine, and Ginny...
  18. The guy was driving an XT5...said he'd driven Cadillacs for 30 years.. Speaking of Subarus, there was a black Ascent parked behind me at the bank this morning, looking at the tail end in my rearview mirror, I thought it was a Ford CUV of some sort until I noticed the oval emblem wasn't a Ford blue oval...
  19. I want to do more cross country trips eventually, but not in plague times. I would do one again but at a leisurely pace, staying in hotels along the way or in an RV. No more straight-through drives.
  20. I remember seeing that Uranus Fudge Factory on Rt 44 in MO when I was driving from Phoenix to Cleveland in June '17. Got a chuckle out of the sign..
  21. An IT director in his 50s bought for his college student son.
  22. There are others like that on Youtube... 'JR Garage' is one, a couple creepy-looking rich kid teenagers that buy, fix up, and sell broken exotics..
  23. The STS sold on Saturday..just got back from going to the bank to get the title notarized...off to a new home with 139k miles...
  24. I really want a Challenger w/ a V8 and a manual... and it would be a 2nd car, so gas mileage isn't an issue.
  25. My Jeep has the 3.6 Pentastar V6...w/ the 8spd auto it's very smooth, and surprisingly good on gas, even in an AWD 5000lb SUV... I really want a Charger or Challenger eventually, though w/ the Hemi.
