    Guns?

I haven't shot an actual gun, I was wondering what a nice hand gun would be. Someone told me to go with a 9mm, Im a big guy so Im not concerned about being knocked down or anything. Just something with a little power that qould be good for target shooting. I wanted a H&K for the longest time, still do, but looking at maybe a Glock now, their supposed to be great and cheeper than the H&K too! Any suggestions?
  3. Yup, I have been hunting down Pacifica's down and a few trucks that aren't sold yet for the past week.
  4. This guy sounds like an idiot. He makes it out that you can only travel 40 miles and then the car is finished, but at the very end he finally says something about the gas motor charging up the batteries, but questions if it will work. Why wouldn't it? What a dolt. 700 miles on one tank is far superior than that turd Prius he mentions! Why do these people have lucrative jobs in the media when they apparently don't have a clue about anything? Maybe it's just me, but I don't get his rants.
  5. GM's CEO pulls off a trick The automaker's improved performance during the third quarter and the stock’s 79% gain this year are the blue smoke and mirrors that make CEO Rick Wagoner one of corporate America’s top illusionists. It's hard to believe, but Rick Wagoner may just pull a Harry Houdini and escape the General Motors (GM, news, msgs) mess with his CEO job. But is that any good for GM's shareholders? Less than a year after the automaker posted a loss of nearly $11 billion, prompting one of the largest restructurings in corporate history, Wagoner may be able to relax. Today, GM reported that its third-quarter loss narrowed to $115 million, from $1.7 billion a year ago. Excluding one-time charges, it had a profit of 93 cents a share, 54 cents more than Wall Street expected. Revenue rose to $48.8 billion from $47.2 billion, the third straight quarter of year-over-year gains. The surprising performance was fueled by an improvement in the beleaguered North American auto group, which saw its loss fall by $1.3 billion to $367 million. The fact that GM’s improvement in North America came despite production of nearly 96,000 fewer units shows the amount of progress. GM expects cost savings of about $9 billion this year -- nearly $6 billion from slashing structural costs. A brighter outlook Operating results in Europe, GM’s other sore spot, also improved. Combined with better results in Asia and Latin America, GM’s outlook seems brighter than it has in years. Maybe that’s why Wagoner and his team felt emboldened to scuttle talks with Nissan (NSANY, news, msgs) and Renault regarding a potential global alliance -- a deal pushed hard by Kirk Kerkorian, a top GM shareholder. Wagoner recognized that such a deal would represent a significant threat to his power, and after doing just enough to (hopefully) placate investors, he pulled the plug. Unfortunately, a global alliance with Nissan and Renault might have been the best long-term option for GM and its shareholders. Despite the modest jump in sales and the smaller quarterly loss, GM still saw its share of the global auto market decline by a half percentage point to 13.9%. The downward trend is unlikely to be reversed as GM slashes production and continues rolling out gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs. More from MSN Money 4 companies that don't play options games Don't fall for Amazon.com's hype Big Oil's 10 favorite members of Congress 13 stocks for the year-end rally Stock market winners and losers for the past week GM management may have dodged a bullet over the short-term but the company is far from healthy. It has done nothing to improve its bloated product mix or solve its styling and quality issues. Harder tasks ahead The cost-cutting program is hard on blue-collar employees, but it’s relatively easy for management. What’s difficult is developing a differentiated line of products that consistently resonate with consumers. It’s a task that still eludes Wagoner. Not so for Carlos Ghosn, the CEO of Nissan. Ghosn helped turn around Nissan, and it was hoped that, as leader of a global alliance, he could have done the same for GM. He won’t get that chance thanks to the sleight of hand by Wagoner. While there were no guarantees that an alliance with Renault and Nissan would have been a long-term winner for GM, it’s almost certain that retaining Wagoner for another year or more will only delay a recovery. More results from restructuring? He has already squeezed about as much juice out of the restructuring lemon as he’s going to get. (He might get lucky because the cost to GM of the Delphi bankruptcy, once feared to be over $10 billion, now looks to be closer to $6 to $7 billion.) When GM unloads a majority stake in its profitable financing unit later this year and the initial benefits from the restructuring effort seem less impressive, management will still be faced with the singular task of consistently improving global sales. And there's no evidence to suggest that they can do it. This quarter’s improved performance and the stock’s year-to-date gain of 79% are the blue smoke and mirrors that make Wagoner one of corporate America’s top illusionists. But the only trick he has perfected -- aside from saving his own job -- is the incredible shrinking of a once-great company. Until the magician is exposed, the risks of owning shares of GM, which continues to burn through cash and trades just off its 52-week high, remain way too high for my liking. Robert Walberg is a financial writer based in Chicago and a regular guest on CNN's "Moneyline." He was formerly chief equity analyst at Briefing.com and ran for Congress in Illinois in 1994. At the time of publication, Walberg did not own or control shares of any companies mentioned in this article. I think this guy is out there. He says GM is turing around quicker than most experts expected, than next thing you know he's saying Rick is slowing GM down from making a recovery.
  6. I just saw that Leftlanenews.com posted some real pics of the two concepts, along with a little info Chrysler Nassau Jeep Trailhawk I like it. I was liking the front end, but the rest of the car ruins it for me.
  7. I wasnt talking about interior comfort, but look at the inside of a Z06, Lambo, Ferarri, Porshe etc. I think they all surpass the interior in this car. If its was only ment to be for track use than I would say its fine, maybe a little over kill than. But in a $85k+ car it should be better, IMHO.
  8. Yea I was just talkin about the car with a friend, the interior looks so cheep for a car thats runs in the mid 80's. Wish they would have done a little bit more to the exterior, and the sidewall on the call looks bigger, maybe its just me, but I thought they looked a little more low profile before. Maybe they need more flex in the sidewall to keep the tires from spinning?
  9. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/12/28/200...ge-viper-srt10/ Add LLN to your RSS feed! 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 revealed Chrysler has revealed the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 — a more powerful version of its popular two-seat sports cars. It will arrive in Dodge showrooms in North America this summer. The SRT model gains an additional 90 horsepower from the new 8.4-liter powerplant, for a total of 600 hp and 560 lb.-ft. of torque. Zero to 60 mph takes under four seconds, and 0-100-0 mph is completed in just over 12 seconds. The Viper SRT10's 8.4-liter engine breathes through new cylinder heads equipped with CNC-machhined combustion chambers, larger valves and Variable Valve Timing (VVT). VVT electronically adjusts when the exhaust valves are open and closed according to engine speed and load. The Viper SRT10's V10 channels its power through a new, smaller-diameter, twin-disc clutch. The transmission is the latest evolution of the Tremec T56 six-speed manual, known as the TR6060. It features 10 percent wider gears for higher torque capacity and a new synchronizer package. Stopping power is another key attribute of the Dodge Viper SRT10 formula, with 14-inch brake rotors gripped by Brembo dual opposing calipers, good for 60-to-0 mph in less than 100 feet. Gallery after the jump… I will add photos in a minute.

    Spied: ???

I read today theat the mystery car is called a Honda Crossroad. I have too much free time at work.
  11. Sign me up for this baby, forget about the Camaro! LOL I don't think it look's all that bad, and you know with it being a Toyota its not going to look anything like this, so it should only get better. But I don't think its going to be selling for 30 to 40 thousand, the Prius is selling for like 30k after the dealer market adjustments. Wonder what kind of fuel economy it will get?
  12. I was poking around cnet a couple weeks ago looking for a nice DVD player/recorder. I saw they were reviewing autos too, I knew it wasn't good. I glanced at their GM profile first with the Pontiac Solstice, yea I think they gave it a 6. I was p!ssed, they didn't review the car based on what it was, but more because it didn't have a bunch of tech gadget crap on it, I think they gave it a bad review because of the gearbox and the top as well. But who wants 500 extra pounds of crap in what’s supposed to be a fun, light weight roadster? Of course the only vehicles that were pulling good reviews were MB, Lexus, and Infinity etc. usually up in the mid 8's and 9's. It was kind of funny reading the reviews from cnet readers though for the Solstice, they pretty much told cnet to keep to reviewing camera's and TV’s, and stay out of the car biz. I totally agree.
  13. Hahaha, I almost couldnt see it in the first picture. Its soo damn small, I thought it was like one of those "Where's Waldo?" things.
  14. Photos of Jaguar's new C-XF concept leaked today, less than two weeks ahead of its official unveiling. As the name implies, the C-XF is a concept version of the forthcoming XF sedan. The XF will replace the S-Type in 2008, for the 2009 model year. The C-XF has the same 400 horsepower 4.2-liter V8 as the S-Type R. The production model will be offered with a wide range of powerplants, similar to the existing S-Type. The production model will have a less sloped roofline, since the XF is intended to compete with the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class, rather than the Mercedes CLS. Gallery after the jump… This looks damn good to me, sorta like an Aston Martin.
  15. I think it looks good, dont like the big frill and the emblem is a bit much, but nice for the most part. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/12/22/ear...ln-mkr-concept/
  16. We have two Super Bees at my dealership but they dont have the satin black hood, just a body color SRT hood, its a nice car though!
  17. I want to get my sister a lil gift for her bird, I cant afford all that much, so I was thinkin about some speakers. Right now she has to wear headphones when shes in it. Anyway I was looking in the trunk and saw that its got 6x9's in the rear, and www.sounddomain.com says that it should have 4x10's in the dash, but I dont see where their at. Was it like an option to have dash speakers? Does anyone have anything similar, camaro etc. that you could like snap a photo of so I know exactly where they are. Its kind of hard to sneek into her car to check it out. Thanks a million!
  18. You can tell they put a lot of effort in this one! Looks almost exactly like a Charger.
  19. So their going to flip it right. So why does the guy need to polish the bumper? LoL
  20. That sidewall just looks way too thick, wish they went a little more low profile.
  21. Tisk tisk, the door panel doesn’t line up properly with the dash, guess that signifies questionable build quality? Surprised nobody noticed that. I like it though, its better looking than the current one.
  22. Havnt had any red Aspens roll through here. We have had a few Commanders and Grand Cherokees in that red, though Im not sure how much I liked it. Now the Nitro in Sunburst Orange Pearl Coat looks sorta cool.
