  1. It will be slightly smaller than the Aura I bet.... but not enough to be noticeable.
  2. That's true... I couldn't drive around with my briefcase on the passenger seat for that reason in newer cars. hah! the CTS-V would warn me if my cell phone was in the front seat and unbuckled
  3. na, that's the wagon
  4. The other possibility is if the parking brake is not fully released. On my 2004 CTS, if the foot brake hadn't been fully released, you would get the same chime as the "seat belt reminder" chime, but no light on the dash.
  5. Does the seatbelt light on the dash remain remain lit?
  6. yeah, I think the frameless glass cinches it.
  7. Mustang or Eclipse Coupe With a spoiler With that upkick in the rear quarter window edit: not an eclipse....
  8. +1 on the lithium grease... it hangs around longer than WD-40
  9. Reg, I didn't have any visibility problems out of the CTS Coupe.... if you're going to have any problems it will stem from having too heavy of a right foot.
  10. these are fun regardless of which engine they have.
  11. There might be a 1986 Continental addition to my fleet.
  12. You should add it to the C&G Garage! and that will create a thread and album for it. Congrats!
  13. I bet the 5.3 could be tuned differently to be more "corvette" appropriate rather than truck appropriate.
  14. Yeah, but in some ways, that's good. It hasn't turned into a fugly Sentra or whatnot. Sure, its not cutting edge, but its a reasonably attractive, outdated plain automobile. It just has a head start on becoming a "Classic". Indeed... just ask Enterprise. BFD. 95% of the prattling going on here is about cars featured on rental lots at some point. You guys have to get off this rental car bashing thing. As if Malibus, Cruzes and Camaros aren't on rental lots. One day, probably soon, the Volt will be on a rental lot. Volt has been on a rental lot as a novelty item since it went on sale..... same with the Camaro. The point about the Corolla was that years ago they weren't on rental lots in any great numbers... and now they are.
  15. I could see a turbo 3.6 as a base option

  17. not possible as is, at least if it stays the "halo" vehicle the point remains - 20 and 30 year olds cannot afford Corvettes. 30 years old is right in the middle of the child raising years for men. $60,000 buys a lot of diapers and 529 deposits.
  18. What's political about saying you'll see fewer Nazis watching re-runs of the Nuremburg trials than if you watch Glenn Beck? It's not a comment on his politics. The man uses more footage of the Nazis and Nazi propaganda than the History Channel.
  19. Rear wheel drive is no good in slippery situations.
  20. Lower the price.
  21. Is it running poorly? It came with platinum plugs, they're good for 100k miles regardless. If you do get new plugs, get the new Iridium plugs. If you do get brakes done, spend the extra on ceramic pads, they last a lot longer than normal pads sometimes twice as long. You can probably to a coolant flush and fill in your driveway, don't pay someone else to do it. look for coupons for coolant in the Sunday paper.
  22. and fewer nazis
  23. The Corolla isn't evolutionary, it's frozen in time. The Altima has only really had two generations (with the Stanza preceding it) the first Altima was a large departure from the Stanza and the second generation Altima was a large departure from the first. The current Altima is just a restyle of the second generation. The Sentra has been all over the place. You are right that most American cars aren't particularly evolutionary either
  24. These are the grills that anyone who is still able to drive will remember:
  25. I think it's most likely that the Malibu weight = Regal weight - quiet tuning
