  1. Center stack directly under the clock. Well THAT'S unintuitive!! So, the big question now is whether or not there are 3 sets of door locks, or if the ones on the center stack have been removed. Very strange... EDIT: So after checking, another relevant question is if this change is coming to the Equinox, Terrain and/or SAAB 9-4x. Almost all of GM's new new cars have the power door lock in the center. On the Regal it's just to the left of the Hazard Signal button. Same for Lacrosse Camaro.... almost anything that has been redesigned lately.
  2. Center stack directly under the clock.
  3. "Did you buy one with an extended hood?" "Did you buy one with an extended hood?"
  4. I would have liked to see an e-Assist version of this car on the 3.0.
  5. So it would have ~270 lb-ft at 1600 RPM?
  6. 7 out of 8 1-series owners think their car is FWD and comes with a V6 engine. Cadillac used to build a vehicle with German reliability and maintenance costs; it was called the 1997 Cadillac Catera. I don't suggest they revert to that level. Because VW makes an excellent impression for the first 2-3 years. After that their lease is up and VW doesn't bother to survey the second owners.
  7. No, we have a rule in my house, thou shall only shop GM ... Oh I understand that. But it's possible to see one out and about.
  8. Does GM have a new diesel in the works for the Alpha car? I don't think the existing units from Opel have the necessary NHV characteristics.
  9. Do we need to start a letter writing campaign?
  10. Has your wife seen one in person yet? I was completely against this car until I saw it in person. It changed my opinion of it from entirely negative to entirely positive.
  11. This is a great way for Jeep to stand out even further from the rest of the pack. It is something they could get "known" for and the Jeep aficionados would go wild for it.... particularly in the Wrangler.
  12. All three German luxury brands sell over 1 million units a year by being utter fleet whores outside of the U.S. and selling stripped down models with 180hp 4-cylinder engines.... is that what you want Cadillac to do? Edit: Can someone photochop a GMC Savanna with the Cadillac Art & Science Logo and then do the same for the Chevy Spark?
  13. or even the gas struts I have on my Toronado. Yes they give out after about 12 - 15 years, but they are an $8 each replacement. You'll spend more than that on lightbulbs over the same time period.
  14. You bet a CTS can out handle it? Wow, I didn't know Sir Issac Newton joined C&G to teach us basic physics. The CTS is a smaller and lighter car... of course it can out handle a 300C. Next up in irrelevant comparisons, I bet a BMW 1-series can out handle the 7-series. The 300C is DTS sized inside and in the trunk. Compare it to that.
  15. Because it has an elegant yet bad ass look that says "I'm an American luxury car, don't f#$k with me", the interior is greatly improved over it's predecessor, you can get the interior in tan if you want. An AWD model with every option checked is $45k. As far as weight, the AWD 300C is 4500lbs and 198 inches long, so yes it is a little less than SUV like in weight as long as the SUV is the BMW 750xi at 199 inches and 4718lbs, or the 202 inch A8L at 4,453, or the 199 inch Lexus LS460 AWD at 4597. The RWD 300C with a pushrod V8 @ 4270 weighs less than the same size 7-series RWD with an I-6 @ 4344.
  16. I think you mean just the GP then.
  17. Well the hood scoop isn't the intake for the engine, it's the intake for the intercooler. So the intercooler would do most of the cooling of the intake air. Having a CAI might help, but not by much since the intercooler would already be doing most of the cooling work for you.
  18. Very nice find... but a question If the hood scoop is functional for the intercooler... doesn't that make it a Cold Air Intake anyway?
  19. :lovey:
  20. Not happening..... just as well, I didn't really have room for it.
  21. People with asperger's syndrome have difficulty forming personal relationships unfortunately. It can be overcome, but it's not like some people who can socialize normally... it requires more effort.
  22. He called the Peace Corp "nazi indoctrination"
  23. Cheaper than a mechanic that's for sure.
